uninstalling cyanogenmod 7 and revert back to stock 2.2 - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey all,
I installed a nightly build a while ago. I've been wanting to remove this build and either revert back to froyo 2.2 or install the new GB.2.3 update lg came out with.
Any links or tuts would be great

you might want to check out the developer section of G2X. There are few stock made roms there and also tutorials on how to revert back to original.

Also why on this earth would you want to go to stock? It trully sucks compared to CM.

Before you revert to fully stock, try Ultimate G2X. Here's a link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103342
Its based on 2.2 stock Froyo, but has a great theme and some awesome tweaks that make it a pleasure to use. It is fast, great battery life, everything works, and it has the original LG camera app that came with this phone. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Any good Rom's that are stable and increase performance?

Looking for a good stable rom without all the issues... looking for performance tweaks and if debloated a list of what is taken out..

What exactly is in this Rom?
2.3.6 stock rooted
I've been running twopumpchump's TPC Rogers Stock ROM for AT&T along with the Da_G kernel 3.0 final for the last 24 hours without a single problem. I have not tested *everything* yet, but so far it's been super stable.
I used ROM Toolbox to overclock to 1782 at the same time. No crashes or anything.
Just the normal nagging issues that were present on the stock ROM + kernel. So it didn't fix anything. It just made everything faster.
Only issue is the Canadian celcius, KPH settings and the Rogers power-off animation. Which should be fixed in the next revision per twopumpchump (a board moderator).
Quadrank = 4500+ three out of seven tries.
Alien ROM kicked my ass pretty bad. Not sure why it's still available to download.
But it's a heck of a good primer into learning to fix your ****.

Is anyone working on CM7 or CM9 rom for the Atrix 2 ?

Hello guys,
i wonder if any of us are working on a CyanogenMod for the Atrix2, it is a great device but the lack of language support is killing it for international users.
Please move to general.
until we get the bootloader unlocked they can't work on CM7 or CM9 because it has a different kernel and right now we can't change it.
Agreed please move to general
---------- Post added at 01:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:18 AM ----------
but if you want language support i think this can be done by MODing a deoxeded rom .

i would be very pleased Jim
I am working on porting over the last build of CM from the droid X that was released from cyanogenmod team.
I am hoping to port that over and have some people testing it by end of the week. I already have 5 or so people named to test this out, so don't ask just yet, next week, I will let the flood gates open for beta testers though.
Note: we can run the ROM, just not the kernel and any of the other great hacks, hence why I chose the droid X version to port, since they also have a locked bootloader.

I will take a look at this patch and see what I can do. I will PM you if I have any questions, or concerns, since I am not sure of the whereabouts of this patch, or it's connection to the cyanogenmod team, because their ROMs are very complicated due to the kernel that they use.
This batch was used on many some OG Atrix roms . i would really appreciate if you can implement it in your rom ( all i need is a rooted stock rom with that patch ) CM7 and CM 9 and ICE cream sandwish has native arabic support
feel free to pm my any time

Do your research, Misinformation gets us no where. It is possible to have both cm7 and cm9 on our current kernel. It just involves "More" work. Firstly we need a 2nd-init system. See links below. And i'm working on and off on cm9 I have also messaged various rom developers that have managed to port said roms to other moto devices with a locked bootloader. Not having the bootloader unlocked is not the end of the world, just takes more creative dev's.

You can do it without the kernel, but you will not get all the goodies that come with it. I am working off the one that was done for the Droid X, that did not use the cyanogenmod kernel. I have already run it on my phone, and it is a little buggy, but I am working on fixing that right now. It was not an easy feat though, I do have to say, and it is not the ICS version either.

After figuring out that 2nd-init things have gotten so much cooler! I'm working off the d3 bc the chipset is almost identical.
Since the RZR is a international phone how hard would it be borrowing the languages from the GSM version of it?
Here is the Arabic one for Razr http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1407615
It would be great if you can use this to make Arabic enabled stock version for our Arabic ignorant cool Atrix 2

ICS amazing on Cappy

I just wanted to say thanks to guys for the work on ICS on the Captivate. I'm an experienced flasher (almost addicted), and I'm impressed. Thread can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363760
I did a few things little different because I've never quite liked the CM Rom, but that's just me. I flashed mine over Cognition 5v2, but you have to twice. Also, I had to go back and put on the uckb1 modem....and started getting 2 to 3 bars on my signal where I used to never get any, with any phone. Slapped in Contol Freak and overclocked it to 1.3 ghz, Volume Control+ for some volume, and this sucker is blazingly fast, amazingly stable, and makes the Cappy even that much more impressive.
Sad part...two days ago was showing off my Super Soldering skills I did on applying Adam's Unbrickable Mod (yes I had my phone apart with the board in my hand in the middle of Wal-Mart's parking lot) when my screen slid off the car and sadly is now cracked....and it's still amazing!
The crazy crap that happens at Wal*Mart. Wtf lol

I love ICS on my cappy, I used Onecosmic's ICS 4.0.3 RC2.11 for i897 and couldn't be happier, I went from a non-rooted stock 2.3.5 to a rooted ICS and JVT modem which effectively fixed all my GPS woes as well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
Absolutely love ICS. Thank you to all that worked on it. My phone has been really stable and usable. Love it. I was planning on selling it and invest into something new but not anymore. I'll use it until it dies or someone gifts me a newer phone. **Doesn't happen often.
Thanks again ICS team.

I'm pretty excited about the work and progress of MIUI's version of ICS

It's a work in progress, but I've found it to be a lot smoother than the other ICS roms I tried from Onecosmic and THS

Teamhacksungs ICS build 13 is what I am using now, and it is very stable. The main advantage for myself is the increased battery life, way better stock web browser, among other things, you should give it a try. (I have been using it since way back, like build 3, lol)
They updated today to build 14 but I don't see any improvements in it that are relevant for the way I use the phone, so I am going to skip 14 and see what happens with build 15.
Hope this helps.

Flash back to stock first (I use kh3 one click with cwm) then flash teamhacksung Rom, let boot fully, flash gapps 7.1, reboot and enjoy.
You must flash back to stock gingerbread first cause u probably have voodoo enabled on ur file structure, therefore ics won't install.

Here is a link for kh3 Odin one click, with custom cwm (boogs kernel), this is what I use before flashing ics, works every time.

Glad it worked out ics is like a totally different experience.
I can't go back to gingerbread after ics, lol. I also found cm7 (181) to be very stable too .
Just be sure before flashing custom roms, its a good idea to keep that one click handy due to differences in file structures, it avoids a lot of frustration.

Hey everyone,
Just today i've gotten into custom ROMS and flashing my kernel however ever since I installed ClockWorkMod Recovery using RomManager, I would have my phone in portrait and everything on the screen would be in landscape. As soon as i turn the phone landscape it flips back to portrait. I just want the phone to go back to switching to landscape view when i turn it that way, this is very frustrating! Can anyone seem to help me out here?

You flashed this before or after you had the rotation problem? If after, did it resolve the problem?
If before, then you need to apply the Skyrocket/Hercules patch or you'll get rotation issues like you're getting now.

Only use the one's from the Verizon section, not the international variant section. The only ones I'm aware of are Evolutionmods (checkm8) kernel and Fauxs kernel. Personally I use Evolutionmods 2.8 ghz kernel and downclocked to 2.4 but both are good.

Sorry phone popped an error and said it didn't post so it duplicated it
yea the only reason why i didnt try those is because i noticed how old they were and thought they wouldnt work with the 4.4.3 firmware
