I confess I'm a total noob.
I just flashed my first custom rom on my HTC Hero GSM.
I was looking for a custom rom with HTC sense and - at least - android 2.2
so that I could transfer my apps to sd and could over/under-clock.
I tried "Pico hero Gsm Android 2.3.5 w/Sense 3.5" and it works really well for me:
nice look, reasonably fast, no probs so far - thx for this great rom!
A special thx to dkelley, who made it really easy for a noob like me to find the right way to mount und get the settings!
There is just one question left: Should I get a new radio rom or is it integrated?
What radio rom would you recommend?

Im actually using Amon_RA's RAv1.6.2. Its fast and im not experiencing any problem. I'd suggest trying that one.
Or you could test latest cyanogen's rom which is actually cool too.
Its up to you to decide.

if anyone can tell me what do I need to do to get the good Manilla 2.5 or even 2.6 if its available for my CMDA - Telus - TP2
Here is what I did,
1. I installed RhodiumW CDMA Worldphone HardSPL
2. I installed MightyROM Midnight Blue
I read in many post that I need to flash rom if I wanna be on manilla 2.5...
Do I need to run again the Hard SPL ? or I just need to install a new CDMA rom ?
Anyone have one to suggest me that will work with my phone ?

that does look like 2.5 to me and to have energy rom running, you did flash your phone
I really hope someone comes out with a radio rom that allows us to unlock the HSPA 1900 access (since the chip can do it according to its specs) with the new network launching today\tomorrow.
How is the rom? any things lacking that telus had installed? an problems with telus? is it crashier or faster than the stock telus rom?
MightyROM is 6.5 but Manila 2.1. You need to find a 6.5 ROM that includes Manila 2.5, one of the NRG ROMs has 2.5, I believe the LEO ROM. Mighty Mike is on Telus so I have to assume it works fine on Telus. He's also rumored to be coming out with a 2.5 ROM in the future, but for now all he's got is 2.1
Yes, you're definitely using the new version of Manilla 2.1 and not 2.5. I use NRGZ's Leo rom and I love it. It's winmo 6.5 and manilla 2.5.
Be aware that 2.5 is BETA and will have bugs. the roms with manilla 2.1 are much more stable. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Leo rom, there's just a couple of little things that aren't quite right (such as having to use winmo messaging if you want to MMS).

I haven't checked the Rhodium Rom section here, so I could be wrong, but it used to be only GSM versions. To be safe, if you want 6.5 and 2.5, use the rom found at this link.

By the way, he has 2 different builds. Version 21864 is more stable and based on winmo 6.5. Version 23081 is based on an early beta of winmo 6.5.1 so it's not as stable and has a few more bugs. Not to say it's not worth a good flash though.

if you dont like all the blue there is another leo (2.5) rom for you. while at ppcgeeks in the cdma tp2 upgrades. check out the juicy rom. hes also on telus

it would be nice just to upgrade sense and not the whole system ....

The reason for there are no cab updates is because for 2.5 to work as it should it needs almost the full Leo rom files. so by only updating Sense in a Topaz rom would cause most of the tabs not working and at best half working.

There's no official rom with WM6.5 and sense 2.5, the only official rom upgrade is to WM6.5 only with sense 2.1. If you want a rom with sense 2.5 you must flash a non official rom! this forum is plenty of them. The best is difficult to say, each user as specific needs so in order to find the best rom for you, you must cook several roms. Have fun with that.

I don't really understand what you mean by that. Any rom that is non HTC official is unofficial! Even roms with sense 2.1 have the official sense and WM6.5 platform, but since they are not HTC provided they are unofficial.
i mean that if there is a ROM that is unofisial but has not fake wm6.5 and has sense 2.5
Dutty's Holy Grail R6 is based on official rom and it has manila 2.5. Here is download link and forum on htcpedia.

How do I upgrade my TouchFLO 3d 2.1 to Sense 2.5?
The topic pretty much says it all. I REALLY want to install CHT, since it has all the features that I would die for in touchflo, but I'm running the firmware that first shipped with the TouchPRO 2. Windows Mobile 6.1 and TouchFLO 2.1. I really dont want to flash my rom if I don't absolutely have too.
Where can I find information on installing Sense 2.5 on my device? If I can't do it without flashing, what rom would you recomend?
This requires a ROM flash.
I suspect you may be using a Sprint device given the versions you list, but can't be sure.
ROM recommendations won't be useful to you unless people at an absolute minimum know what hardware you have (GSM? CDMA?) and what features you value in a ROM apart from Sense 2.5.
you should go over to PPCgeeks.com and look in the upgrade section for CDMA or GSM TP2 ROMs... you can read up on flashing, which is pretty easy to do, and they go into detail in individual threads regarding what the different chefs cook into their ROMs... there are a ton of 2.5 ROMs out there...
I'm too new to post a link, but over at ppcgeeks (dotCom) there is a thread (112066) titled "HTC Sense 2.5 cab ? "
It might be rather useful. I haven't tried it because I'm pretty happy with the stock VZW 6.5 sense 2.1 (for now, lol).

I have searched a lot about good stable Rom and contains FM Radio and Market and more importantly, it supports Arabic and i would it the must newer or latest rom to My htc nexus one, but so far I can not find that Rom and I want it Froyo (I mean like desire Rom , not like original Rom ) makes no difference whether or not cooked or Stoke
