Hello. I would like to know if there is a way to disable A2DP. There are some registry values related to A2DP but dont know exactly which one is the right one.

AD2P Profiles and headsets. General Question.

Hi,
Im aware of the latest chips carrying AD2P - basically Im trying to find out how to tell if my XDA2i has this profile fitted and what headsets are currently available. Ive seen some posts re the HT820, but would like to keep to Jabra if possible. The BT800 has Bluetooth 1.2 - does this guarantee the AD"P profiel and does anybody have experience of this combination.
Thanks.
try doing a search for a2dp in the forums
as far as i know then the broadcom bluetooth stack
if installed will enable a2dp but remove the headset profile support
havent heard anybody having support for both

bypass headset earphone jack switch

Hi,
Before I start creating an application that would bypass the headset earphone jack switch(the one the activates once you insert a headset), I would like to know or find out first, if it is programatically possilble to bypass this manually by a registry setting or an application. If yes, kindly advice as to where I should start.
I found similar application while searching for solution to

Hi,
As I understand it the HTC models that do have an FM Radio build in can switch the FM Radio output the the main speaker even while the headset is plugged in. It needs to be pluggen in; it's theis antenne. So my guess is that it must be possible. I myself would be very interested in such a program.
Good luck, hope you'll sucseed,
Cheers,
Cactus

yup
anybody out there who could point me in the right direction? where should i start...?
still no luck on this - pls help, even just to point us in the right direction
i've search desperately but no luck i know it is possible; first because the built fm radio application can stream through both speaker and earphone. second, i run into a bluetooth app that can divert/stream audio(not only calls). this leads me to conclude, that is it possible. i just don't have infos i need to create one. i've read many msdn articles, tutorials but still no luck that is specific.
please to all the programmers out there, help us. this is just a very simple app and it would hurt 5mins of your time just to point me in the right direction. I am most willing to view/review servelar even tons of source codes that is very similar or close to the solution we are looking for, you just have to share it to us. thank you. i hope somebody out there could help us.

In the registry:
HKLM/System/State/Hardware
change the key "Headset" 0 to 1.
but the headphones works like antenna and you dont hear any radio station.

thank you ryomahino, for taking time to reply. i'm already aware of this registry work around and have done this already, but the hardware switch still persists. aslo sometimes or when you reset, it does not persists. so the only solution is having at switch, that will run the audio both on the headset and speaker, pretty much like what the fm radio does, but must also work on calls, together with the microphone. im pretty sure this is very much simple for those experience programmers out there. if we put together that fm radio and bluetooth audio capability then this would work. just need a little push/help as to where start. or if I could look into those source codes then we are ready to go...
technical question on fm radio app
Gurus/programmers/anybody,
Does anybody know, or at the least, give me an idea, as to how the o2 xda atom build in fm radio application, programmatically (technically) toggle from stereo headset to speaker? Just even, point me to the right direction, pls, I'll read tons of infos, if need be...
Had same problem on my Raphael, here is what I did:

Maybe this or similar would help you as a workaround too.....
this app would be great for htc touch hd!
i use normal 3,5inch headphones to listen to music but when i do a call i always have to plug them out! would be nice to have an app that automatically disables headset when you are in a call so you can have your headphones attached but still talk with the phone!

A2DP Profile

I recall seeing that you can regedit it or add it on but did some searching and couldn't find it. Anyone know how? Thanks for your time.
Also, if in the bluetooth settings, I select and mono headset and click and hold and the "set as wireless stereo" option is available but greyed out does that indicate that I have the A2DP profile? I don't have a stereo bluetooth headset (yet) but wanted to be sure before I invest in one.
Thanks again guys and gals.
you know u could also look for the vjvolibilis software and use that just turn acgon that's what i use to stream into my non stereo headset
I'm looking to update my TMO SDA II to A2DP. Been searching since las night here and can't find what to do or where to download. Have any idea mate?

BT automatically disconnects and missing profiles

I kno I seen something on the bluetooth headset disconnection after 3 calls or something like that, also i wondering if there was cab out there for the missing bt profiles. I'm using Dutty's V4. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great

Best a2dp registry settings. Lets make an OEM/CAB

Hey, just wondering what are all the hacks that make a2dp work better and stay connected. We all know WM is not the best when it comes to car head units. I saw that schaps' ROM says "Best Bluetooth A2DP settings". I want to know what those best settings are. I wanted to compile all the hacks that make it more bearable, and then if possible make a CAB and/or OEM package with all the a2dp hacks. I can make a CAB but not an OEM. What do you think?
I'll start with one. Turn HFConnectOnCall from 1 to 0. Fixes the problem with a2dp losing a connection after a call.
Where is this setting? I can't find it when searching the registry.
Found it:
//HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Bluetooth/AudioGateway/ConnectHFOnCall
However this did not resolve the issue for me. I started up some music. Made a call for 2min. then ended the call and the music came out the phone speaker.
Yep thats the one. That resolved the issue for me. After ending a call I used to have to power down then back up the headunit and sometimes even soft reset my tilt to get them to make a a2dp or even hf connection again. Any other suggestions and reg tweaks?
