[Q] Weird Recovery Stuff

I have some weird stuff going on and I was wondering if maybe someone could tell me what it means. My phone is running fine, in fact better than ever. But when I reboot into recovery mode, and before I apply update.zip and I am in stock recovery (blue), I get the follow message below all of the recovery options (error message is in red):
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
E Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
(Invalid Argument)
# MANUAL MODE #
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st111
(Invalid Argument)
Then, when I do a backup through CWM, everything goes through fine and then I get this message:
Back complete!
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
When I go into CWM recovery, I do see a backup labeled with the correct date and everything, so I guess it is backing up correctly? Not quite sure what to make of it.

I've had this happen and it happens when you have lagfix enabled and try to revert/odin back to a stock kernel (non voodoo) you'll need to follow the manual disabling procedure (of lagfix) by injecting an empty file named "disable lagfix" into the clockwork folder on your SD card then reboot. After that you should be clear to do a clean flash to get everything working properly. If you tried restoring right now it would probably give you an MD5 mismatch, and trying to flash from recovery would probably give you dev/block errors and it would cancel installation until you get your file system back in order.

OK that makes sense. I was flashing all over the place trying to fix that radio issue. Although I liked Add's answer better. Much more convenient

Lol yea, I tried that too when I buggered mine up, but since I couldn't flash anything in recovery I decided to find out how to fix it

[Q] please need help badly about flashing

after the flash, my phone will reboot then it goes to recovery mode automatically and it says there

then
copying media files..
successfully copied meida files.

Try flashing xxkpe
If it works then its cool...
Otherwise i think ur imei (efs) folder is messed up...(means u lost ur imei...)
But i have a feeling that ur phone is still ok... just flash xxkpe then the latest fw u want....

i tried it so many times flashing xxkpe
but still it didn't worked
can you tell me the steps on flashing maybe i had the problem during the process
i don't know exactly what to do and there is so many version on how to flash i don't what is the real one

use the pit file also with xxkpe with the repartition option checked...

[Q] Samsung Galaxy i897 - E: can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1

Hello all,
I tried to installl a Rom in my Galaxy SGH-i897 with Odim and everything was alright until I had to got into the Rom and install Zip from SDcard
when I tried to do this my cell throws me this msg error..
E: can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or dev/block/mmcbl0)
(Invalid Argument)
E: can't mount/mnt/sdcard
I tried to apply the update.zip but I got the same error... I tried to format the SDcard and I got the same error... I tried to partition the SDcard and I got the same error.. I cant do anything because I dont have OS in the phone now...
someone has any experience with this particular issue... please help me I will appreciate it.

He say the telefon have a firmware problem and i think i can repair that.but now i see this telefon have many Problem and hope anyone can help me.
This Telefon Stuck on Samsung Logo.
I try it to flash original stock rom.
I try to root.
Nothing helps.
In Cwm mode read the telefon
No Support Single -sku
Supported API:3

I did search topics that had similar problems and solutions but didnt work for me

How to uninstall Magisk?

Hello. I've recently tried to uninstall Magisk through its app but that doesn't seem to work. Some apps still detect that I have root access and not allow me to use it. Thus, I tried removing the install files in my phone and it still couldn't work. I have also tried factory resetting but for some reason TWRP won't allow it.
It writes:
"Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder
Updating partition details
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Full SELinux support is present.
Unable to mount '/data/media/TWRP/.twrps
MTP enabled
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
Formatting cache using make_ext4fs...

1. What phone do you have?
2. Do you use a stock or custom rom?
3. If you use a custom rom, what rom is it?

Well, I have a S7 Edge. I am not that experienced with tech so I'm not so sure what I did for the Rom.
I flashed it through Odin though. I could dm you the link of the tutorial if you don't mind

Re-Flash rom
You can try re-flashing the rom (not sure if it's a word but you probaly know what I mean). So enter twrp (power, volume up & home button), go to wipe and wipe the following: System, Data, Cache, Dalvik/Art cache. Once you've done that flash the rom. Depending on what rom you use, you can see if magisk is gone. If not, try another rom (make sure it is for your device!!!). This should help, if not let me know.

Or just run Magisk Manager, tap Uninstall, then tap complete uninstall.
