I Need To Ask With respected Cotulla about my htc surround..
i have HTC Surround T8788 WINDOWS 7 Phone..
i was trying to update custom rom but they asked me to use HSLP 1st..
unfortunately my version was 4.5 and i have used 1.52 spl software now i have this problem show below link..
please help me senior programmers ??? what to do with this thing ??
now my phone is unable to detect as usb ??? help me please

Congrats, you've located the relevant post in the thread that tells you, very explicitly, not to do what you did. First question: did you read the rest of that thread after messing up your phone? (I'm guessing you didn't do it beforehand, though it would have been smart to at least read the first post...)
There is a solution. It involves what's called a Gold Card and will probably cost you some money for the parts (people have been saying ~$20). Try doing a search on that term. It may be easier to search using an external engine (Bing or Google) rather than the built-in one on the forum (use site:xda-developers.com to search this site using an external engine). Alternatively, you could also search for 'fix "half bricked"' or similar.

yes that was unsmart thing that i read only 1 or 2 post but now i feel too bad that at least i need to read that threads 1 page and not use that one....
now i have searched and read many threads on xda site , what i found there is no solution for htc t8788 surroung half bricked phones..
please can u give me link or guide about how to fix this half bricked issue ? of my phone please really will helpful ??

I'm in need of the Eten P300 rom update in which is already posted in the http://www.etencorp.com/Support/download.php [press on software section Windows 2000/XP ROM Image 155_0050 (w/ voice command) English(Worldwide) ] thus I'm not able to register for no reason, I purchased from ebay and it seams that the IMEI is registered to the previous owner, I tried to trace the owner to get his username and pass or at least to drop his account but without avail.
My phone is dead. I can only enter the bootloader because I tried to flash it with different rom
Plz can someone shade me to the direct way to get the rom files or at least a place to download it from.

Why don't you just email them and say you are the new owner and get it registered correctly?
I tried many times, I'm really fed up. A dead device isn't easy espcially when u get back to Symbian envirement.
I know this forum is deducated for the HTC devices, but my question remains to whom they already have the rom, or to whom they know from where to download it.

been searchin for a while and found alot of info
but i dont have the knowhow or the equip to flash my phone.
I have a dopod p800 (china mobile) windows mobile 5.
the phone was given to me.
my question is ...
Is there a way to get the factory setup just in english? (reflash?)
If so is there someone on here that does or would do it for donations to the board,etc, or?
just need it to be like a factory one with win5 or possibly win6.. i dont have the hardware and am not sure as im not up on this stuff...

I owned a HTC touch Advantage X7501, it crashed after startup. i tried to upgrade the ROM using the HTC Advantage X7501_RUU_Athena_HTC_US_2.19.453.4_105_1.47.51.00_Ship.exe but it failed. you will find attached the print screen error.
I find also in the readme.txt that i didn't have the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade. Please could you help me get the good version of my HTC Advantage X7501? Now it starts from the boot menu and displays theses informations:
ATHE100
IPL-v1. 00
ATHE100
SPL-v1. 07. 0000

This is wrong address. This forum is for X7510 device, not for x7501. You should go to forums dealing with your device. This device needs different ROM as it has different hardware.
If you have tried to install ROM aimed for X7510, this probably is the result of your mistake. However they can help you in forum for X7500/X7501.
But first try to read. You are not the first one with such problem. They were solved many times, and you can find solution in some threads on proper forum. If you start asking for help before trying to find answers for your questions, the forum becomes more clogged and more difficult to find answers for others.

The forums dealing with 7501 and 7500 are just called "Athena" forums

Thank you teacher, i've already posted a new thread in Athena forum.
Newbee 70 and not to good with technology
we have an old HTC Legend , we have been through the methods of rooting and connecting to the computer but we cannot find a simple one click method , has anybody got any ideas that may help.
We have just tried to make a usb connection and cant fin drivers ,the HTC site is not helpfull with downloads.

Not sure what method you used to root but the only thing I could see that was as close to one click at it looks like this phone will have is in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680584 Sorry that is where my knowledge ends, I was only passing by I dont own an htc legend or any htc phone for that matter. I suugest reading through the whole thread then go back to post 3 and follow the instructions carfully. In one of the links in post three I believe there are correct drivers too. Good luck.
Updated my zest t1 with software upgrade off their site to repartition the memory.
Worked fine and memory etc was successful.
HOWEVER on start-up the screen is completely out of focus.
Please help. Is their a fix or reset . Thanks

As there is not much about your exact device on xda (I found only this rooting thread: [ROOT/GUIDE] Zest T1-G46 by ka13b), the place where you ave asked in the first place is the right one.
Just give the other smart guy a little bit more time to read and hopefully answer your question.
BTW ... no chance to contact the official support of the manufacturer from where you have installed the update?
