hi, i wonder if not ROM MANAGER is redundant when I've installed 4EXT Recovery v2.2.7 RC5 | 4EXT Recovery Control?

Yes it is redundant.

Ultimately, yes, unless you're using a custom ROM that provides updates through ROM manager still

Hi kgs,
Like there is a superwipe script in ARHD thread. There is nothing of that sort in venom's thread...then how to wipe ? Is it via 4ext recovery formatting option or is superwipe not required.

instead of superwipe ..
do 4EXT->wipe|format->format all partitions except sdcard
Thanks ganesh...
So going from ARHD 6.6.7 I JUST need to download the new ROM and after wiping from recovery install the venom rom.
Since I already have 3.32 firmware hence flashing that is not required ??

Did you check MD5 sums, it could be a bad flash. Also how long has it been stuck for? Anything above 15 mins is a bad flash

It defaults everything to 1 value so you dont get the options - it doesnt use Aroma but uses an older and less elegant 4EXT interative menu solution. Defaulting some values could possibly cause bootloops
The problem was bad flashing, I checked md5 sum and they wasn't matching, so i downloaded again and installed it.
BTW Very good rom more then 7k on antutu benchmark, with vipers it was always less then 6.5k maybe it's becouse of faux kernel but it's great.
THANKS...

[q] Can't flash MIUI after AOKP from blindndumb

Hi,
I can't flash MIUI after JB AOKP. Installation is OK, but after HTC logo on white phone boots into recovery again.
Tried to install MIUI after stock ICS - no luck. Stock is loaded, MIUI - no.
Got this error by logcat:
link_image[1941]: 1478 could not load needed library 'libc.so' for '/system/bin/sh' (load_library[1096]: Library 'libc.so' not found)CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE
Have no idea what to do with it.

I'm formatting all except sd, install stock ICS, reboot into recovery, formatting cache and dalvik, install MIUI. After that reboot and phone is booting recovery itself.

If you're on 3.32 or 3.33 firmware then you can flash ViperS JB ROM. ViperS 3.1.2 does have some kickass music options and tweaks. I don't know which one is best but ViperS never disappointed me.

Just download the ROM zip and put in your SD card. Boot to recovery and enable smartflash. Wipe data and all partitions except Sd card and flash the zip from recovery. If you get stuck in bootloop then just extract the boot.img from the ROM zip and flash via fastboot. And before doing everything just make a nandroid backup.

viperS rom and every rom has kernel including in it
so when you flash the rom the kernel will be changed too
by the way specifically in viperS 3.1.2 rom only one kernel is compatible and it is the one including in the rom
no other kernel works with this rom
thanks a lot for Quick answers.
Can we expect any rom with Sense 5 ??
i suppose there is one under development but no ETA.
