Got my phone replaced due to faulty screen.
Now I am trying to s-off and install recovery so I can put customs on.
Followed the revolutionary guide , put the serials in etc. It gets to the part where it says "Zerging root.... this might take a minute or so....." and it gets stuck there. Its been over 10 minutes.
I have got the usb debugging mode on.
phone is detected because it gives the serial in revolutionary.
Any help?
Just uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Now works. Sorry for the post. Please remove if needed mods.
Maybe interesting for other people watching this thread:
When Revolutionary stucks at "Waiting for Fastboot...", just try another USB Port.

So let me start by saying I have been researching these forums for the last 8 hours trying to following instructions on getting my phone to connect to my computer and with no luck, hoping someone out there can please help me step by step in correcting my problem.
1)I flashed DC's Rom, then flashed the most current radio, then flashed the most current Wimax.
2)I noticed that when I connect my phone to the computer, it says device is not recognizable. The phone charges but does cannot be seen by the computer as a disk drive (I'm trying to RUU to stock but the comp. will not see my phone and I've already tried running RUU but it also is having probs seeing the phone).
3)I've read Calculin's instructions in fixing the SD Card and USB as close as possible but also no luck. I've downloaded Android-SDK Tools and ran CMD with the Instructions saying type in "fastboot oem boot", from there, thats where I get stuck, it just says "waiting on device". Not sure where I go from there, I'm in Reboot mode where it has Fastboot on my evo screen.
Any help would be much appreciated, I'm just so frustrated and I'm trying to get back to square one.
Unplug your phone and restart it, then plug it back in. I had to do this 3 times before it started working again. Other than that, you might just need to download the new drivers.
And you posted in the wrong section.
Sorry about posting in the wrong section, what drivers should I install, are you talking about the new HTC Sync Files or something else? Can you point in the direction to get these files?
okay, I think I'm getting close, I have a box thats popping up now thats trying to located the Device Driver the phone. It says "Failed" next to the line "MY HTC" Where can I download the necessary drivers for this phone?

You should be able to get the proper drivers from either Sprint or HTC's web site. There are links on both sites. Also, when you install / reinstall the sync drivers make sure anti-virus is disabled. If the situation continues and you've tried everything else other folks suggested look at program permissions in your anti-virus program. I was having something similar and CA anti-virus was not letting the program start-up. I had to toggle it to "allow".
Good Luck.
I need help! I rooted my new htc inspire and was downloading some of the 3rd party apps I use from market. One of the programs which was a font changer bricked my phone. I have reviewed every possible way to unbrick it and nothing works. When I go into bootloader the only options I have are hboot, which turns to hboot usb plug when plugged to the computer, fast boot, recovery, factory reset, simlock and image crc. Hboot does nothing I installed the hboot drivers and still nothing. I did recovery and it stalls on the HTC bootup screen then slowly blacks out, factory reset it just boots to the htc boot screen and sticks there. I have pulled the battery out more then 50 times, that doesnt work. Htc sync does not recognize that the phone is connected to the computer and the revoke hboot usb installer sees that the android is hooked up to the computer but doesnt do anything except tell me the drivers are installed. I used Bubby's one click root to root my phone. Can anyone help? This is the second phone I bricked and considering I just bought this I really dont have the money to buy another phone. Any help would be awesome!!!!
Have you tried an ODIN yet? Find the stock image for your phone (should be a tar), use odin, and flash it. Make sure you have the correct USB drivers for your phone installed.
In fact, look at this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11419005&postcount=2
Ive wanted to try it but was a little weary about doing it cause I though ODIN was for capitvate phones and because the ruu is from cingular and im on AT&T. Also wonder how to do it when I can not set my phone to debug or disk drive.
remove battery and keep it outside for 12 hr. then put it back and restart...
Done that already last night after it bricked. It still does the same thing. Im downloading the ruu the sync doesnt acknowledge my phone at all and the drivers on my phone are right and up to date. Except how do I put the ruu on my phone if my phone does not bootup and if I go into the bootloader screen it takes me right to the htc boot screen and doesnt go farther. Im following all the steps that have been posted in other threads but it doesnt help when I already tried majority of these things. I dont know if there is any other option to unbrick my phone if this does not work!
Ok the RUU says it can not read my phone. I get an error saying USB connection error and says to check if the phone is connected to the usb cable and the cable is connected to the pc. All of which it is. So what do I do next as the ruu cant even read my phone?

Me 2 today!!!
I have (er, HAD) a rooted stock droid 2 global. I read copious amounts of info to guarantee that my move from a blur-laden rom to a considerably-blur-LESS rom (Hexen) would go as pain free as possible. I printed out all the rsdlite info I could find, located all the appropriate files and drivers, found a good, md5 verified stock sbf, and prepared to make my phone better.
Step-by-step I re-read the instructions until I thought I had it right. I started, and waited for the final step "phone[0000]: phone is being rebooted."
It never came. I did everything right and it ended with rsdlite's status on the phone reading :"failed flashing process. phone [0000]: error switching phone to bp pass through mode (0x70bE); phone disconnected," and my pc giving me a "found new hardware: flash mdm6600" message. I am not able to find a driver for the mysterious new device that crops up as my phone is trying to reboot.
My phone sits unperturbed, still reading "SW Update in progress..." If I try to shut it off, it doesn't respond. And when I battery-pull and put the battery back in, it starts up immediately with a "Bootloader D0.11 Code corrupt..." message.
I cannot make it go into bootloader mode. All it does it what I've told you.
So, you tell me, please, am I screwed? Am I the proud owner of a 3-month old brick?
Dan

My phone is back.
Half the reason (okay 9/10ths) I posted was because I thought my phone was finished. I had searched thru here and the web many times during each SBF re-attempt, and I seriously think there were at least a dozens tries minimum.
No documentation was found for my issue: Bootloader D0.11
On my last search I found a set of Motorola USB drivers that were a newer version than what I had found every other time. They made the difference. The drivers that *worked* were V4.7.2.0. The previous drivers were 4.6.5.
I hope this helps...
Dan
What did you do to get out of the bootloader D0.11 screen?
Well, like I've said, all I did was use a different set of Motorola USB drivers. The drivers made the phone be recognized by the PC during the RSDlite process.
These are the drivers I used: Motorola_Driver_Installer_v4.7.2.0.msi.zip
All I did was RSD *again* exactly as I had been doing.
The only differences are that the whole process begins with the bootloader error message being displayed on the phone. RSDlite will recognize the phone when it gets to that part of the process. And when you get to the "switching the phone into BP mode" message and the simultaneous PC message "found new hardware: flash mdm6600" the pc message appears *very briefly* (presumably because *now* it has MDM6600 drivers) and the RSD process continues, exactly as it was supposed to.
I hope I've answered your question clearly. And I hope this helps you with your D0.11 error.
Just so that you know, I am *no* expert by any means when it comes to this stuff. I'm just like you: looking for answers.
Good luck,
Dan
Thanks for the help. After two hours last of searching and downloading last night, I finally got my wife's droid restored.
hello,
I hope someone can help me with my AT&T LG Optimus Pro G phone, which I have royally screwed up.
I was experimenting with the cyogen mod and after installation I installed the freegee app and once the cwm recovery was installed, I decided to go into the recovery by holding down up volume and power button.
Once I was in recovery for CWM i couldn't exit out, and the phone constantly booted into recovery after every reboot, even if i took out the battery, and powered it on.
I tried reflashing the cynogen mod through the sd card, and even though I would get success message the phone would still reboot into the cwm recovery.
I started doing research on the internet and i found file exitrecovery.zip that could be used to possibly get the phone out of the cwm recovery.
After installing exitrecovery.zip, I rebooted the phone, and now I have complete black screen. There are no light, no hints the phone is even turning on, and I can't get into recovery( or at least I can't tell). The only thing now is that when i connect the phone to the computer the window tries to install drivers for the device, and eventually prompts to insert a CD for LG drivers. I already have LGUnitedMobileDriver v.3.10.1 connection drivers installed from their website.
Please help, I am really stuck here..... and have no clue what to do. I am fairly new with rooting and modding, and I am extremely miserable.
The phone is still under warranty from LG. Anyone if all else fails, and since the phone has no screen or lights, whether they would replace it?
Attaching the exitrecovery.zip that I used.
sobbing....

hi, thanks for your reply. Again I very much new to the rooting and android OS tinkering, and nowhere close to an experienced user.
I tried to use google with your information in regards to how to use flow ROM with expansion.exe, but did not get any leads.
I would appreciate if you could elaborate more on this process.
When my phone is connect to the computer via usb is is constantly trying to install drivers. I had already installed LG usb connection drivers in the past and it was successful. It almost seems it tries to install driver yet fails after receiving no input from the phone, and then request LG CD with drivers.

Try to find driver on the web-site of producer. Set them. Overload a vehicle in Bootloader. In the controller of devices on компе must be determined your device. Then on a computer start sewing - .EXE.
Did you get this problem resolved? I have the exact problem with the exact phone!!!
thank you very much
Hello,
I'm trying to get this tablet fixed for my brother in law. It got stuck like this just hours after his daughter started using it.
They can't return it because they ordered it several weeks before Christmas, so by the time she even opened it, the 30 return policy had expired.
None of the steps I have found here or on other forums for booting into recovery are working. I've tried over and over again.
I've tried several of the various steps on here and a few other places to plug USB into my computer to see if I could get it into recovery that way, but, the computer will not load drivers. Windows simply tries to load a driver, then settles on a MTP Device, and when I try to Update Driver, it says no better driver was found, even when I point it to the folder where the driver is "supposed" to be. (Ones that others say they have been able to get working).
I'd love to get this working for my niece, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
