Sensation does get hot when used a lot. Really hot. But if it's hot in your pocket you might have an app doing something crazy in the background. Updating itself, or following your location, or something.
I'd install Watchdog Lite from the market and check what's using the CPU. When the phone is idle just a few CPU % should be used.

Best battery life/performance?

Any suggestions on what to do to get the best of both worlds...preferably I'd like to stick with my current rom (latest InsertCoin) but I'm willing to change...anything that could help such as kernels or any tweaks..Thanks!

Have you done the normal thing by turning off GPS and data transfer, use a 2G network setting, and turned off fastboot?
I've got the Anker battery and this combo lasts days. I'm using ARHD but I don't think that makes a huge difference.
change the voltage

Use some app like setcpu, or any other that shows cpu frequencies. You can find them on market.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Yeah I'd say install something like setcpu and have it on power saver if you are trying to make the battery last longer.

Turning GPS off doesn't really save much battery at all I think, I believe it only activates when needed i.e. when you open Maps.

maybe your battery it is not in a good condition
or it is not fit properly with the connectors
check it
maybe the kernel? the kernel can do this

sometimes yes
you can flash other one
I had this problem. It turned out to be the battery (I bought an Anker), but I managed to fix it by putting a piece of paper between the phone and the battery so it gets pushed against the connectors.
ok. ill try to put paper and see if it works. i presume its battery since i allready flashed another kernel

Apps/Tasks Running?

Everytime I look at my battery monitor 'GSam Pro' it shows apps that are running and eating my battery life in particular 'Poynt' which I don't use everyday but it is always running, I've used 'Advanced Task Killer Pro' and killed many processes but 'Poynt' does not show up in tasks to be killed and even in my 'System Tuner Pro' it does not show up so my question is how to KILL it? When I go into my apps and look at 'Poynt' I do have the option to 'Force Close' it but it always has a pop up saying 'May Cause App to Perform Badly', what to do and how to kill apps such as this that are obviously eating my battery and I'm also using 'DS Battery Pro' to monitor my phone?
You can force close. The worst is you will have to enjoy. You might want to root. The other option is to disable the app in Application Manager. Private message me if you need help.

(Solved) Disable specific processes which are using RAM

I want to disable some processes of Facebook app and Maps. Example Facebook has 3 processes: media upload service, mqtt push service, background detection service. I want to disable the first and third cause I don't need them, but I need the second for push notifications. Is it possible without freezing the app, or un installing it?

Afaik System Tuner has that option, but would probable break the whole app. And probably you wont have noticeable gains in free RAM, why dont hard swap instead?

Serious problem with my htc pico(can't find any solutions)

Dear xda members.
I have a serious problem and i have searched everywhere to find a solution, but there isn't any that helps my case.
So i have a big battery drain problem, and yes i have tried everything. Battery calibration, uninstalling apps litterally everything. I even changed my battery to another htc explorer but the battery works fine in the other phone. My phone drains my battery (fully charged ) to 5 percent in 20 minutes without doing nothing. Please help. My phone is rooted, and it has a stock rom. It worked fine, and suddenly it started to drain fast. I need help because i dont want to buy a new phone , i love this one and its battery worked fine and lasted long before that. Also it becomes really hot , up to 60 degrees while charging. Please help!
Thank you !
1. Post a screenshot of the battery chart in settings - where 100% to 5 % in two (2) minutes.
Had to see it to believe it
2. 60 degrees - again please post a screenshot - use elixir app to determine

They'll ask 75% of the total price of this phone as rooting charges.

Dear member!
Thank you for your reply,
1. i will post a screenshot of my battery stats at 100% and 5% with my whole screen so you can see the time at which is captured and the interval. Btw. it was 20 minutes that i wrote not 2 minutes.
2. i will also take a screenshot of the battery application that i used and the elixir app you reccomend of various temperatures while charging
Thank you for your answer.
:good:
