I had the same issue until I got my phone flashed to 1.47. Update came a few days later. I am still waiting on one person with 1.28 to say that they received the update OTA!

So, as per engadget, it seems that the official froyo upgrade is starting to roll out.
It seems the nordic countries are getting it first. We will have it, soon enough.
Just wanted everyone to know
Yay! someone is going to have to walk us slower folks on how to get from the unofficial build to the legit one.
And this belongs in the Development forum because....
Please post in the correct forum, general!
It should also be noted that this is Froyo for the I9000, not the Captivate or other variants

...and yes, this is for the international version, I9000, NOT the Captivate. We have to wait for it to go through testing and stuff from At&t.

Desire S Q&A
For all of your questions relating to the HTC Desire S
To answer your question HTC said on their top secret internal boards they were blocking the update in India. Reason was, you don't know how to read the description beneath forums.
HTC's official post regarding the blocking of the update to India.
Hi, i was reading this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683893
And i ask: Is this work in a Atrix 2 from Argentina?
Yes, i'm from Argentina and i bought it in 'Claro'. It's like 'AT&T' but, from here.
So, as you can see, i cant reply in a developer thread. This is why i'm asking here.
Sorry for my poor english

There's at least three threads about the ICS leak, as I'm assuming you're asking about here, and the huge issue with some users completely bricking their phones trying to FXZ back to stock. That being so, there's NO links available for flashing the leak until our devs have sorted out this mess (AT&T version). Unless you've got the MEARET version, you just have to be patient. If you cannot post in the Dev Section, you can always PM someone who might be able to answer your question with a bit more info from your end...

So I got my phone today, really excited. I am an Iphone convert. So after opening the box I saw a sticker on the phone that said Updated. I got my wifes phone (also GS3) yesterday and it didnt have the sticker on it. Can I still root my phone? does anyone know what this is about?
You should be fine to root. The current method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792342 still lets you root even if you have the updated version of the S3.

More than likely it just has the VRALG update. You can verify by going to Settings > About device then looking at the Build number and Baseband version. Yours is probably VRALG/VRLG and your wife's is probably VRALF/VRLF. As far as I know this hasn't affected any current rooting methods. In fact, NoSympathy's current rooted image is based on that update. There is a stock-based one-click rooting method that should get you basic root here.
So excited you didn't know what subforum you were posting in?

First of all Wrong place mate!
Your question already has an answer in the General section!
I don't want to sound roughly, but you should start using your eyes, for there's correct purpose!
Please post questions in q&a section!
And for an answer: it'll be coming when it's ready..
It'll never come. Just install an ics based rom, you're wasting your time

July was the release date announcement by HTC, but they changed their schedule to August. So It will be coming soon (seems RUU is more likely than OTA, but still, it is coming at last !!).
However, I don't know when it will be finally released by your carrier, it really depends on their policy...
