I've been seeing all these I997UCKJx and not sure which is the latest. For example, I thought I997UCKJ2 but then I saw I997UCKJ4. However I997UCKJ4 is an Android 2.3.6 and I997UCKJ2 is an Android 2.3.7. So which is the latest? If I997UCKJ4 is the latest, why the Android version is 2.3.6?
I have kj2, never seen kj4.
KJ4 is newer. Version numbers work just like they do with software; bigger = newer.
They're both 2.3.6
Thanks. Reason i ask was MIUI Rom had android version 2.3.7 and thought why I997UCKJ4 had a lower Android 2.3.6.

Its because MIUI isn't based on UCKJ4 or UCKJ2.. they are probably just using the modem.

The fourth letter indicates the month the modem was released. However, do not confuse the UCK*# modems with the UCKJ2/4 ROM's. The ROM's in question, preceded by [ROM] I997UCKJ#'s are actually AT&T Gingerbread leaks. They involve new boot-loaders and you are advised to proceed with caution.

Miui is aosp based. The ui is ported to the most recent cyanogenmod builds which are updated add they arrive on the nexus phones.
Uckj2 and 4 are Samsung builds. Manufacturer builds are always behind cyanogen mod. But it it's impressive that they are that up to date, nobody expected it when the first leak to drop was 2.3.5 never mind when 2.3.6 dropped.
thanks all

When was this found out/announced?
Is it any different from the stock 2.2.1 SBF (UK version) found on and-developers?
If anyone gets their hands on this build please post a screenshot of the About screen.
Not sure how to do screenshot ?
Build number SHOLS_U205.26.0
Kernel version 2.6.32.9-gafbfc43

Oh ok, my bad.
This is the same version which is on and-developers.. it was announced few months back as far as I know.
It also uses the older kernel. Newest official kernel is the Arabic/African one. You can check this out in the kernel collection thread.
Motorola started rolling out the Froyo update in stages. This might've showed up only now.
Rom in general
used this for 24 hours now battery life better than most other roms and it must be said uk version must have been polished in some way over german release or aisia.no fc's so must be great for stock foyo rom
That said missing miui so going back to that
I've also uploaded a couple of days ago this rom up on my moto.Clean install from 2.1 and works very well.
Battery life on that ROM is unacceptable.
Did update from stock UK eclair and i have to say 2.1 was far battery friendly..

Funny I got this version months ago from the Motorola UK site sitting here in Bangladesh and I updated via the update tool provided by Motorola.
The only difference I see here is that my build number is SHOLS_U2_05.26.0.

Hi, for Romania is good this release ? or not
OK I'm working on my friends phone because he saw there was an OTA update available. He is already on 2.3.6 so what is this update for? I'm having to unroot it to do iot but I'de like to know if its worth it.
there is not its after 2.3.6 lol, ur friend is misinformed. People still claiming there is an update are still on 2.3.5. The only available updates, which aren't ota, are the ics leaks, UCLA4 and UCLD2.
Huh weird because on his phone if you click on the software update it downloads something reboots starts and then fails. Is it just giving a false update notification of 2.3.6 even though he has it?
BTW how stable are the leaks? Also do they contain bootloaders?
false update. very stable since devs have had it for awhile. I recommend sky pics (either base) by seanscreamz or super lite by mhx.
Do these 4.0.3 builds have the android OS bug?
nope, 12 hours on time total, android is 5%, on superlite 5.1
im running leaked jelly bean vlk3 right now say i wanted to go back to 4.0.1 vlhe build and takes verizons ota to jelly bean were would i find a clean verision of vlhe build un touched .

You do realize that Leaked JellyBean vlk3 = Official Verizon JellyBean OTA, right?
There the same exact thing, the leaked file was the update. There is nothing different!

Hi!
After flashing ZIP with latest P500 recovery from Jenkins CM server I have serious problem.
I cannot enter recovery or fastboot, computer doesn't see any device connected. After turning on the phone I've got LG logo and then a brand new CM logo. Nothing else.
I was thinking about flashing by LG tools, but - as I said - PC doesn't see any device.
What can I do? Are there any keys combinations to enter fastboot/recovery anyway? I've tried Home+Vol-+Power without success.
PS: I'll try emergency mode in few minutes, it must work!
PS2: Flashing with KDZ updater + emergency mode worked!
a little off-topic question: should I have old or new baseband to use CM10.1 nightlies?
You must have new baseband - v20x to use any custom rom based on GB 2.3.3 and above
Means,
Old baseband - v10x
New baseband - v20x
Old baseband roms based on v10x baseband version.
New baseband roms based on v20x baseband version.eg.all ics +jb and some Gb roms.
Hope you understand this and don't forget to hit thanks if i helped you!
@Taranis, even if you are on old base band you can still flash cm10.1 (or any other new roms) by flashing the "old bb fix" after flashing the rom.

Very good
OT:
It isn't good idea to flash a girl's phone with latest version of Android.
They won't notice it in any way. They can't even differentiate between froyo and gb. Or between Ics and jellybean.
Rather than being happy with latest version of Android she will complain of having low battery life...

I was on Gingerbread 2.3.3 for a day or two before my LG P500 got bricked and I agree the battery life drained out very quick. Does anyone know if there is a list of differences between 2.3 and 2.2?
Also, I'm planning of getting another LG P500 but a used one of course, anyone know roughly how much is worth paying for one? Ty.

you are right, the best android rom for girls is the stock one non rooted, having latest android on her phone will give you headache, but... if the girl is an android geek the latest version is the right one and that supose that she can do it herself

Ofcourse a downgrade is possible *Maybe do a little bit more research*
If your phone is rooted and has a Custom Recovery you could search for an android 2.2 rom for your phone, But if the phone didn't release with android 2.2 or lower it isn't possible.

Means if the oldest version of Android the phone was released / sold with --> you can't install a older rom bacause it doesn't exist and no one would ever starting develop a android version lower then the first stock rom the phone ever had!
Why do you want to install Android 2.2???

this phone released with android 2.3.5 then i think i cant put 2.2 .
this phone net speed is too slow and battery drain quickly when net browsing. that wise i thought to go to an old android version to solve above problems.

Not really. 2.3.5 performance is better than 2.2 as far as i know. Phone was released with 2.2 first.
There is a custom Jellybean rom available. I'd suggest trying it and UNINSTALL all non needed crap and deactivate non needed background processes. Especially google's apps love to drain your battery. Also Jellybean support virtual memory. 256MB is pretty low, so setting up the Jellybean rom may help. You can go back to stock at any time flashing the stock firmware.
