OTA 2.3.4 Upgrade!

Good news! Before half an hour I get OTA 2.3.4 upgrade notification on my Sensation.
I live in Croatia and have a debranded phone.

Very Sweet, I just checked here (The Netherlands) with an unbranded Sensation bought via Vodafone and hey presto I got an update waiting

Nothing in Cyprus yet!

Belgium : Check ! 2.3.4

Do you guys have a stock ROM?

I have a Vodafone, self debranded, now stock rom, but no update available.

Upload it and then share it,all the devs need it

I have S-oFF anche LeeDroid 1.3 based on the 1.35.401.1 firmware... But the phone is checking for updates and dosen't find anything

My phone is stock, no s-off or root, 1.35.401.1 software number.

can't install because of manual s-off and root getting a CWM blue andriod with exclamation triangle when trying to update. reverting to normal and trying again

Yes because lee has disabled ota checking service

if you have stock recovery,you can update.s-off causes nothing

I like the new Android Marked in 2.3.5 its more sleak that the one in 2.3.4. Hopefully we will get it to Sensation soon

Yup, and I have no need to root or change from a stock ROM, never needed to with my HD2 on WM6.5 either, or my HD before that. O2 have yet to give me a phone or update with bugs, so I'm happy to wait for their 2.3.4 update, but just wish it was sooner

Well I live in Denmark. I unpacked my Sensation and put in the Simcard, charged the phone. As I started the phone and it was in Android it told me that I could download Android 2.3.4 update...
Maybe that is because my phone isn't branded?

Yes, Euro unbranded phones have had the update.

I got mine from Vodafone and was able to update to 2.3.4. did so and then rooted it and flashed the official europe 2.3.4. got tired of all the trials and 360 Vodafone crap. Using it with a t-mobile sim atm Update should be here for you soon!

There are no O2 apps on mine, infact if I hadn't bought it from an O2 shop I'd think it was unbranded

[Q] will i still get OTA updates after flashing custom ROM??

alright so now i am running Revolution HD 3.6.1 on my Sensation and its working fine.... finally!!!!!!
but now i have 2 questions:
1- will i still get OTA updates?? if not then where should i find it??
2- should i flash the RADIO to Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 ???

Is flashing a radio dangerous? On my mt4g if you flashed a bad download or pulled battery the chances were that you would brick your phone. Is that true with the sensation?

I have had my data and apps backed up by Titanium backup and when restored it i discovered my contacts and sms are all gone! also after i deleted some apps the phone started to give me the phone failed message and then force close and the network started to show no network then back to network then back to no network.....
so i had to restore my stock ROM and manually backup my data and Flash the Custom ROM again and so far so good !!
so now how am i gonna update it??

how am i going to update the android firmware since now i cant do the OTA update ??
right now am running 2.3.4

You just download a new ROM from here when someone releases one...?
Most of the stuff these guys are messing with is leaked stuff, or stuff pulled from other phones that shipped with newer software and its out before the actual OTA is ever even close to coming out. Just check back in here every once and a while and Im sure someone will have something new. Thats half the fun, trying out new things.

When an update releases just run the RUU.exe, it will return you to stock and put you back to stock recovery if you want the ota that badly you can get it, you need to swap recoveries to get ota's. AFAIK.

ICS Update Available in Taiwan

Hey guys,
these days I have been checking the update frequently hoping for its arrival soon and this afternoon the update has arrived.
I have a Sensation XE stock rom (Asia_TW) unbranded. I bought the phone in Taiwan and received the update in Hong Kong.
I am pretty sure the Asia update has started. Good luck guys!
My findings regarding ICS/Sense3.6 :
1. System becomes smoother. (Rotation/animation/System overall response)
2. Wi-Fi works perfectly, with/without SIM card.
3. Total available RAM is now 583MB (10 Mins after boot, 194MB free)
4. Boot Up Time: 2min 30sec (+- 5sec)
5. Multi-touch Switch problem still exist

Try the CID checking app on the market. CID is what ota releases are mainly based on. There is another thread with a CID list.

Full filename is enough. It cold be downloaded from OTA server directly when we know filename.. But I'm afraid for EU phones it is not usable due to different base version and OTA file is just patch! It could be used be developers to see what has changed there and what to cook into their roms..

Finally some progression wonder if HTC also fixed the multitouch bug in this release like devs has done it already.

I am in Taiwan and I haven't gotten the update yet. OP is wrong.

It could very much be due to the CID thing. They release the update based on the CID (and IMEI as well? not certain about this.) and as I read from other posts I think they release it to 30,000 devices at a time so the server won't break down. Wait for some time I'm quite sure it will come to your device soon.

Not sure because AFAIK it is Kernel bug and Taiwan has exactly the same kernel build ..

The multitouch problem still exists. Quick tab on the screen switch the first and second tab.

Stil no Update in Hong Kong

I just checked my CID and I also have HTC_621. I still haven't gotten the update.
So maybe it's for HongKong only. Not in Taipei yet.
I'm gonna ask another friend of mine over here with a Sensation if they got the ICS update. Will update after I ask.

As I know so far, the ICS OTA update in Taiwan only for Sensation "XE".
Sensation non-XE not update yet...

If your looking for a changelog... dont, htc dont provide them.
The only thing we know about this - im guessing the update is for 3.33.x base - is that it fixes some pretty major bugs from tests

I guess they solved the 3.33 touchscreen issue.

yes, that exactly what i mean is that really worth updating, as I have rooted 3.32, so I have to unroot it, update to 3.33 and root again.

You shouldn't have to, if you flash the universal firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767&highlight=firmware

I`m not sure, as I bought one Sensation from three, but broke it and get this one from insurance. It came without any simlock or three boot animation. It looked just like a non-branded, and i don`t think they debrnded it.
