Download a RUU from here (make sure that the RUU corresponds to your region or brand, if your phone is branded and is at least the same or higher version as detected on the screen of the RUU).
Connect the device to your PC.
Reboot to bootloader.
Make sure that you can see "FASTBOOT USB" written on the screen.
Start the RUU on your PC

Is my phone bricked?

Hi everyone,
Sorry for sounding like a total noob, but today I was trying to flash my phone to "SUPER-HERO" rom. but first I needed to update the radio and hboot.
I went into recovery mode with "fastboot boot recovery.img".
Updated to radio image
6.35.08.29
And rebooted.... my phone showed up an HTC boot screen (probably was doing some updating) and then the problem started..
My phone is now booting through the vodafone logo then the HTC Magic logo (usb sound on my laptop for a second) and reboot.
No key combination is working except for the action button which shows up a blue LED.
Anyone can help?
My phone is an HTC Magic 32A (Vodafone Branded).
Thanks.

You must to revert to old radio, when you update to new radio you need to install a rom/kernel port that works with new radio.
Look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239
to come back to old radio
merlos
I can't reach fastboot I don't know why.. fastboot usually gets launched as soon as I press back + power.. I just get the vodafone logo then the HTC logo right after that.. and then it restarts.
If you flashed an incorrect radio or recovery (flashing the wrong radio is a surefire way to get bricked), and as a result are not able to get to fastboot or recovery, then you're bricked and as a result need a new phone.
I managed to get the phone to fastboot but when I load the recovery ROM the phone just resets.
What can I do in fastboot?

You can flash a new (Correct) radio and/or recovery rom, or even a new SPL. Course reason instructions carefully for whatever you grab.

[Q] Did I brick my HTC Sensation? Please help!

Yesterday I tried to install a custom rom on my HTC Sensation. The sensation had the Dutch Vodafone ROM, updated to the newest version.
I started by following this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 to the letter and did not encounter any problems.
Then I read a post about the InsertCoin ROM, and started with the recommended download and install of PG58IMG.zip. I did not install the ROM yet. Upon rebooting after installation of PG58IMG.zip the phone now seems to be in a boot loop, it boots untill the "Quitely Brilliant" appears and then reboots again. I removed PG58IMG.zip and reinstalled su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip (as per suggestion in another thread about a boot looped phone). However the phone refuses to install it.
Is there anything I can do the get my phone out of this bootloop?

Ugh.. really? Any idea what went wrong? I imagine I might have done somthing stupid, but I have no idea what.
You can probably fix it. First thing I would try doing is booting to recovery and restoring from the backup(s) you made.
hello i myself am not really familar with that device its one i never played with or researched but i do know that bootloop does not mean your device is bricked if your device is bricked it would simply be a black screen that did nothing something in your bootloader or spl (secondary program loader).
please boot into clockwork mod pull battery hold vol down when it boots do a complete wipe
wipe data / userdata
wipe cache
wipe davlik
then try to reboot see if you can boot then and if not pull out sd card download a rom from your pc to your sd card for your device try a diffrent rom install sd card into your phone boot back into clockwork mod select zip from sd and install most likely it will repair your boot loop.
(YOUR PHONE IS NOT BRICKED)
any ? go to sensation questions and answers and or development they can further benifit you because they deal with that device full time

I had the same problem. Solved it by installing the a compatible (to the new firmware) rom, like InsertCoin 4.3.2. So, tne procedure is:
1. Install firmware by putting PG58IMG.zip on root of sd card
2. remove PG58IMG.zip from root of sd card
3. install InsertCoin 4.3.2 from sd card
Hi buddy. No, you're not bricked. You just flashed a non-compatible ROM, you're all safe. It happened to me once.
A bricked device means a device that is unable to even power up. If it can boot to recovery, or fastboot, you're not bricked. And if you have a bootloop, you're not bricked either.
Do the following:
Battery pull
Put the battery back again
Press and hold the volume down button
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, while keeping the volume down button
When you get into fastboot, let go volume button
Select recovery using the volume keys and confirming with the power button
There you are! You can flash back your backup... Because you have a backup, right?
@ all; Thanks all for the help! Wiping and restoring backups didn't do the trick, but the suggestions were very welcome since they convinced me I didn't brick my phone
Special thanks to Norad73 and Pyrobisqit; I did have a backup, but not of the firmware it seems, since restoring the backup didn't work <red face>.
Bu the suggestion of the ROM not being compatible with the new firmware was right on the mark. I installed the InsertCoin ROM, and yes it worked! I now have a very nice ICS Sensation
Thanks, thanks, thanks!

How can i fix my One S (Bootloop)

Hi, i wanted to upgrade my rom from black dragon 4.5 til 5.0 but as i was in a bit of a hurry i failed to read the innstalation notes..
So i just flashed the rom.zip from cwm touch and tried to reboot, now im stuck in a bootloop with the HTC screen with the red writings and a blackscreen.
I cant seem to be able to power-off my device either, i guess i have to let the power run out..
Is there any way i can fix this and flash mayby LeeDroid rom or is my phone permanently bricked?
rom.zip from an RUU ??
If it wasnt, most custom roms require the boot.img to be flashed.
Plug your phone in via USB and use adb to do a full factory reset, Flash boot.img and flash the rom
you should be good to go in no time

yep what he said you can also hole power button for a bit and it will power of the phone
^^What they said. You need to fastboot yourboot.img through adb. Since that rom has the base upgraded to 1.78, you need to update your boot.img, it's provided right under the logo.

[Q] Help with a fenix one s

Hi maybe you can help me, I got a tmobile htc one s, it was of a friend and give it to me like parts (dont know the story behind it), before taking it apart I connect it to my pc and I can see the PC can recognize the phone as some weird usb device, I search and find the unbricking process with ubuntu, and it work, it boot in a stock rom, it sits for a night and the next day the phone was death again, I redo the unbricking process and can boot again, then I tried to flash a new rom trying to fix any boot file corrupted, I download MAJ rom, unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery, the MAJ rom said that is necessary to flash a new fw, i did, then after flashing the ROM (with no problems apparently) when trying to boot I get htc logo then black screen over and over, dont know whats wrong Im still able to boot in fastboot mode, want to flash a RUU but I cant find any compatible with my hboot 2.15.0000 radio 1.13.50.05.31.
Please any help will be appreciated, thanks
Ok, the phone boot up, an old mistake after flashing a custom ROM flash again the boot.img of the ROM.
For noobs:
1. unlock your bootloader
2. flash a custom recovery
3. enter recovery and flash a custom rom
5. with winrar open the .zip of your custom rom and extract just the boot.img
4. boot in fastboot mode and flash the boot.img you extracted, for that in windows enter in cmd and: fastboot flash boot boot.img
5. reboot your phone it should boot up
If theres any mistake please let us know.
Well as I comment before I can boot up in the custom rom, but I face a new problem, I can turn on wifi and can see all the networks but the phone didnt connect I reset my router and my device with no luck, even I flash a new rom but same problem, the phone try to connect to my network but nothing, any idea???

HTC One Mini stuck in Fastboot

My HTC One Mini ran out of charge and when I plugged in the charger and tried to turn it on it gives me the Fastboot menu and I can't get it to go back to normal. This has happened many times before when my phone ran out of charge and I would normal do a random combination of all of the options (BOOTLOADER, REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER, and POWER DOWN) and it would eventually get back to normal. I've been trying for a few days and still no luck. Please help!!

Sounds like your phone's memory suffered some file corruption.
Enter fastboot usb, flash twrp 2.7.1.1 recovery, flash new radio & hboot ( AT&T 3.10 HBOOT 2.22 firmware ), wipe all, and flash a new ROM.

I think this is the solution to a problem I am having also. How would one go about flashing new radio and hboot? Also what ROM would I need? Finally, I noticed you list AT&T hboot firmware, will this process be different for me seeing as I am not using an AT&T phone, but carrier unlocked (in the UK)?
