Is my phone bricked? - myTouch 3G, Magic Android Development

Hi everyone,
Sorry for sounding like a total noob, but today I was trying to flash my phone to "SUPER-HERO" rom. but first I needed to update the radio and hboot.
I went into recovery mode with "fastboot boot recovery.img".
Updated to radio image
6.35.08.29
And rebooted.... my phone showed up an HTC boot screen (probably was doing some updating) and then the problem started..
My phone is now booting through the vodafone logo then the HTC Magic logo (usb sound on my laptop for a second) and reboot.
No key combination is working except for the action button which shows up a blue LED.
Anyone can help?
My phone is an HTC Magic 32A (Vodafone Branded).
Thanks.

You must to revert to old radio, when you update to new radio you need to install a rom/kernel port that works with new radio.
Look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239
to come back to old radio
merlos

I can't reach fastboot I don't know why.. fastboot usually gets launched as soon as I press back + power.. I just get the vodafone logo then the HTC logo right after that.. and then it restarts.

If you flashed an incorrect radio or recovery (flashing the wrong radio is a surefire way to get bricked), and as a result are not able to get to fastboot or recovery, then you're bricked and as a result need a new phone.

I managed to get the phone to fastboot but when I load the recovery ROM the phone just resets.
What can I do in fastboot?

You can flash a new (Correct) radio and/or recovery rom, or even a new SPL. Course reason instructions carefully for whatever you grab.

Rogers HTC Magic keep rebooting at "HTC MAGIC" screen

Hi, I have a stock Rogers HTC MAGIC.
1) I downgrade everything http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239
2) I rooted my phone http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_G1/Dream/Magic32A_Firmware_to_CyanogenMod
3) I flash Engineering SPL 1.33.2010 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019
4) I upgraded everything http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239
5) I upgraded to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592856
GOT IT WORKING.
After Step 5) you download 1.2.4 and 1.2.6.1 - Put them on the root of your sdcard - Boot the phone by holding home+power - You then get into recovery (1.5.2) and there you choose flash zip.. Here you flash the 1.2.4 and after that you flash the 1.2.6.1.. Reboot phone and wait...
Hope this helps with any newbie.
The phone keeps rebooting. I followed every step. I tried 3x times already. What could be wrong?
I double check and make sure the phone is rooted. SU responds with #
I made sure the Engineering SPL shows up
I made sure the new Radio and SPL is there
pull battery, hold home+power - flash rom
As you've switched to the new Radio and SPL combo, you need to flash a ROM that is compatible with it. If it isn't it will reboot again and again...
I had a similar problem and canĀ“t find a solution! The solution was to arrange for assistance!
I believe that only the JTAG cable can solve this!
LOL. What SPL and Radio are you running and what ROM are you trying to flash?

Semi bricked HTC Magic

I can get in to the recovery screen and the fastboot menu (although the computer can't detect the device in fastboot). I don't know how it was bricked because I got it like this.
I've tried flashing a proper ROM cyanogen mod but that doesn't fix it. When attempting to boot the phone it gets stuck at the ROGERS boot screen permanently.
Maybe try another machine/cable?
Magic is 32A, cyanogen mod is for 32B. Flash this file as a normal update.

[Q] HTC Desire - Firmware issues

Hi all,
I have a strange issue and i am not sure if this hs been discussed before (Looked everywhee and i cannot seem to find an answer).
The Problem: I have a Desire S and i am in Australia (Carrier: Telstra), It was working fine without any issues and i had installed Generic European Firmware in the phone, Since this morning, when the battery died the phone has been on a white screen that says hTc and nothing happenns.
I went to HBOOT and tried recovery and everything that i could, downloaded customs rom tries installing through PC and through memory card but nothing happens.
This is what my phone shows when i go into HBOOT
SAGA PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT -6.98.2000 (PG8811000)
RADIO- 3822.10.08.04_M
eMMC - boot
Feb 24 2001, 21:19:05
Options that i can play around are:
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY- goes back to hTc Logo and later on come up with green recycle sign and immediately after that phone icon with exlamation mark.
FACTORY RESET- goes back to hTc Logo and shows a green installation sign on the phone icon just below that progess bar with memory card at the end and goes back to hTc logo in white and stays like that.I have a Telstra's ROM (telstra.zip) in the SD Card
SYSTEM INFO
IMAGE CRC
any ideas on how can i install something on it, or do i need to send it back to HTC.
Please help!
You can install custom ROM only via Recovery. You need custom recovery for that.
The red exclamation mark confirms that you have stock recovery (press Vol UP + Power and you will enter), but it is short of options (reboot, install update.zip and wipe cache) You can try to install telstra.zip with the second option but then you will have troubles with your hboot version - 6.98. There will be a conflict with the one in the telstra.zip so you will have the white screen and logo again.
So you have 2 options:
1) flash custom Recovery via fastboot command /or Android flasher - it is easier/ and then custom ROM
2) flash eng 0.98.2000 hboot via fastboot command /or Android flasher/, then use a RUU to restore to complete stock

[Q] stuck hat green HTC logo

Hello guys,
i have a problem. I think i did somethink realy stupied and "broke" my sensation
it all started when i was stupid enough to flash
Firmware from 3.12.401.2/102 RUU from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618
when i rebootet the problem startet. when i boot the Sensation gets stuck at the green HTC logo at boot.
i can access the andoird menu via Volume down + Power
i managed to install the bootloader 1.17.2008 form here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20681060&postcount=22
i have super-CID
i have the fasboot commands
i used to have the CWD recovery mode. now when i hit RECOVERY in the android menu i can't get into CWDs menu.
i get a screen with a phone and a red triangle and the phone doesn't do anthink.
i use the Hypersensation as ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302969
does anyone have a clue how i ca fix it so that i can boot again.
i have a NAND Backup on my SD card and on my computer.
EDIT: I managed to get CWM working again by flashing the CWM files again via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242942
than i coulld restore my old NAND Backup
You rewrote the recovery partition too, when flashing the RUU.
If you are already on 1.17, then download a CWM and
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and hopefully after the next reboot you will be able to get in to recovery from bootloader
EDIT: oh, I see you already managed to get a CWM on , glad it worked out

HTC One Mini stuck in Fastboot

My HTC One Mini ran out of charge and when I plugged in the charger and tried to turn it on it gives me the Fastboot menu and I can't get it to go back to normal. This has happened many times before when my phone ran out of charge and I would normal do a random combination of all of the options (BOOTLOADER, REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER, and POWER DOWN) and it would eventually get back to normal. I've been trying for a few days and still no luck. Please help!!

Sounds like your phone's memory suffered some file corruption.
Enter fastboot usb, flash twrp 2.7.1.1 recovery, flash new radio & hboot ( AT&T 3.10 HBOOT 2.22 firmware ), wipe all, and flash a new ROM.

I think this is the solution to a problem I am having also. How would one go about flashing new radio and hboot? Also what ROM would I need? Finally, I noticed you list AT&T hboot firmware, will this process be different for me seeing as I am not using an AT&T phone, but carrier unlocked (in the UK)?
