[Q] Motorola Defy hangs on boot - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
after installing cm7.1.0-RC1.5 and rebooting, I see Google (logo) on my display but nothing happens (waited for more than 20 minutes). The power switch does not work and I am also not able to access the boot menu by pressing the volume button. If I remove the battery and insert it again, I immediately see the Google logo again - as before I am not able to interact with the phone. Please I need help - hope I haven't ruined it.
Thank you

I feel you'll have better luck posting this in the proper sub-forum. Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] LG G2 AT&T Bricked Pretty Badly

I have a rooted LG G2 (AT&T) running Android 4.2.2. I rooted it and then tried to install TWRP recovery. After attempting to flash a TWRP image using Flashify, the phone rebooted showing the Android guy with a red triangle (so basically the installation failed). I held down the power button and the phone booted up like normal.
Alright, now later down the line the phone received an OTA update (probably Kitkat). When the phone "booted", the LG logo flashed on the screen and then stayed black (the backlight was still on). If I hold the power button+volume down, the phone will just reboot. Without really being able power down the device, it seems I cannot get into download mode. Also, if I hold down power button+volume down for a long time, the notification LED will blink red (5 times *stop* 5 times...) until I let go.
Eventually I tried the power button+volume down button multiple times, pressing it in different timing intervals and managed to get it into factory reset mode! I followed the prompts but alas the phone will still not boot normally and the screen backlight is still on.
I hope this is the right forum, I need help fast.

Essentially, yes. This isn't a tech support forum. It's simply to help you find what you're looking for or find where to look for further information. Copy and paste your question in there. No need to have this one deleted though.

[Completed] [Q] LG G2 D802 stuck on LG logo on boot and can't get to recovery or download mode

I need help!
So I flashed cm12 nightly and got some error message at the end. Despite the error I was an idiot and tried to boot anyway.
My phone got stuck on LG logo and when I try to manually boot back to recovery by holding pwr and volume down and when the lg logo shows up again it flashes so quickly I have no time to release and press again the buttons. Also when I try to go to download mode when phone turned off when I hold volume up and plug the usb cable it does not go download mode nor fastboot mode and instead tries to boot normally and of course gets stuck to LG logo again. Only mode I can get to is when I hold all three buttons at the same time is the weird screen where everything is written in Korean language except the IMEI number at the bottom.
Please help me get back to recovery mode!
I'm using the international variant (d802)
Now when I try to get to recovery mode it ignores me releasing and pressing again the buttons and gets stuck on lg logo every time I try... please help me I'm getting hopeless

[Completed] Jiayu G4B - after ROM install from jiayu.es, phone boots, but screen does not stay on

I was on a stock firmware (201306...), and wanted to move to 201312...
It is really strange: the phone works but displays only for one second. If I press the lock button, I see a flash. volume up/down work (I hear the bips).
How can I recover? Thanks.

[Completed] Bricked tablet

Yesterday i messed up quite a bit with my device Allview viva i7g after i've unlocked my bootloader and accidentaly i put the wrong recovery ( the one i put minutes before flashing the tablet on my olther device which worked just fine) the problem is that i can't access the recovery( as expected) and the device can't go to bootloader without using the adb command.
(belive me i tried all the possible combinations) it can turn on stuck at the logo the device battery can be unlugged very easily so its not a big deal taking it off, and also if i keep pressed vol up and power it goes to a white screen for a few secs.
this is all the info i could think of for now feel free to ask me olther info if you want.

[Completed] Recovery mode no longer display options/menu

Hello,
I am browsing Facebook when suddenly my phone hung-up. Everything was not responding so I decided to remove and reinsert the battery.
Unfortunately, when I tried to boot-up, it was stuck in the Huawei Ascend screen.
I tried booting to the recovery mode but it doesn't show any options/menu, unlike before.
In the recovery mode (by pressing power button + volume up key) it only shows an image with an open botdroid with red exclamation.
I already tried flashing the device but no luck.
Hoping someone could help me.
