Rdio app issues - T-Mobile LG G2x

I'm currently running eaglesbood v2.4 (stock kernel) and am having issues playing music with the rdio app. For those who don't know about rdio, it's a streaming (downloading) music service like spotify, but availible in canada (hence why I am not using spotify).
my problem is that whenever i try to play music that i've synced to my phone, it will not play at all. I can stream music, but strangely there is about a 2 minute delay before anything will start to play. I've noticed this problems on all of the roms i have used, such as eaglesblood 2.4, cm7.1, and weapon3.0. I've also tried everything on their support page and found that useless (including clean installs and formating the sd card) Is anyone else having this problem? or a problem with a similar app when you root your phone?
(it worked with the out of the box wind mobile firmware)

same rdio offline playback issue
I have the same issue. Have you found a solution?

I stopped my rdio subscription however I'm on hell fire 1.9 now. I noticed that I would tend to have issues with mms if I didn't change the apn setting on authentication type from not set to "none"

Napster and Slacker Radio Streaming Issues

Hello fellow posters,
I am having a very strange problem that shows its ugly head with Napster and Slacker Radio. The song will play for exactly 12 seconds and then stop. The song will then resume again several seconds later. The rest of the song plays fine from that point forward. I find it strange that it happens on both apps at the same exact time (12 seconds). MOG doesn't seem to have this issue.
I have a 4G signal with at least 3 bars when the issue happens. The problem doesn't occur is streaming from WIFI.
Is anybody else having problems with these apps with their G2X?
Thanks for your time,
Lance
I have the same problem. I was running the gingerbread leak thought it was that. So I'm back on stock same problem.

Napster and Slacker Radio
Does anybody have ideas on how to resolve the issue (song stops playing after seconds almost every time. The song then starts playing again after several seconds).
Is it a phone issue since it happens on both Slacker Radio and Napster? Any setting changes that can be done?
Thanks,
Lance
I haven't tried napster, but for slacker, try version 2.1.191. I loaded it with titanium backup. The last couple versions suck, and apparently not just on our phones/roms. The market comments are BAD. lol...
Not sure how to locate it if you don't have a backup. I'll see about getting the apk somewhere.. It was free on the market, so I can't see how it would be "piracy"...
I have the same problem with Slacker, so it's unusable on my G2x. If this isn't fixed sometime soon, I'll be canceling my paid Slacker account.
slacker updated again today. so far so good streaming over 3g
I had to turn on High quality mode in the settings menu, then the song would cache all the way in 3g. If it's in normal quality, they song doesn't cache all the way and will occasionally skip. Wifi works normally.
I've also disabled the local stream manger in slacker as well. Not sure if that has done anything
I tried again with the latest version and disabling the "local media server" option. Already had high quality enabled.
It actually plays music now. Thanks for the tip. Now if we could get music apps not to stutter when the cpu gets used... Sigh. A dual core should NEVER stutter music when multitasking.
Yes it what the "local Media server" not "local stream manager" . Sorry about that; I didn't have my phone on me.
Glad you're working. Not even sure what that feature does.
i deleted slacker. the damn app wants to run for so many actions. check it out using an app like autostarts. it starts running for a ton of different actions, things that don't even make sense.
winamp is almost as bad,but tolerable.

I disabled Local Media Server too (never noticed that option before), and it seems to be working properly for me too. Thanks everyone!
I have Napster and I have the SAME EXACT problem. The only way I got around it was to download the playlists so it wouldn't skip. It's extremely annoying. I've already informed LG about the issue a month or so ago. Its only on Napster tho. Not Rhapsody or Pandora.

This apparently just showed up with the last update (yesterday or today) and fixed my streaming issues in slacker too (only had time for a quick test though)

[Q] Music Stuttering In Every Player I Try

I have a Galaxy S3 i747 running AOKP 4.2.2. I've tried Google Play Music, Omich Player, Android Music Player, and PowerAmp. Whenever I do anything on my phone while listening to music, it skips for a second or two. By this I mean locking or unlocking it, opening an app, and sometimes doing something within an app. Its really obnoxious and is seriously ruining my enjoyment of this phone. My ROM has an overclock function, so I tried forcing the processor to go to 1.6gHz at all times, but that didn't fix it. It also has an SD card read ahead function, but even setting that as high as 4000kb had no effect. This happens whether there's zero or a dozen apps in the background. Sometimes clearing the apps cache and force closing it followed by restarting the phone helps. Also, sometimes switching to another music player whip fix it for a while before that one starts skipping too.
Is there any solution to this? I've seen other people with this problem but they either never resolve it or the solution that works for them doesn't work for me.
Perhaps
If you have AntiVirus on your mobile phone. Possible that some programs are not compatible

Nope, no antivirus
I know this sounds crazy but try using headphones with a built-in microphone. I'm almost positive that is how I fixed this issue on an older phone that had the same issue.

Anybody figured out why Google Play Music keeps giving random errors on KitKat?

ever since i upgraded to stock kitkat (not via ota, and i have root) my google play music has been giving me unable to play this song errors. i'm down to do a logcat if someone smarter than me is down to read it and try to find a solution. i've noticed it when i'm on wifi and mobile data, while i'm using gps and while i'm not, with personal library songs as well as all-access tracks, and i'm fairly certain it hasn't mattered whether the tracks were on-device or streaming.
has anybody who took the stock kitkat OTA without any root or modifications had this same issue?
has anybody had zero GPM errors since updating to kitkat?
I'm gonna chime in and say I've been having issues too. I'm completely stock. But Play Music usually randomly just stops midsong with an unable to play song error. Haven't been able to figure out what's causing it.

[Q] [Stock 5.1] Play Music "Music temporarily unavailable" error

Hey there
When playing a song I get a white notification block saying:
"Music temporarily unavailable.
Couldn't play the stream you
requested" DONE
Been having this error on/off for a month now. Sometimes it works on wi-fi but not on cell, most of the times not at all.
Right now at home I can play from my other devices (win7-pc, chromecast, Nexus10) without problems.
I can browse music fine on the phone and play moview works fine - so the account is not the problem.
All hits I've had searching gave just different settings to try with caching, dl'ing etc. They are to no avail. Tried all combinations.
I hope anyone can shed some light. Best regards!
Edit: I'm an all-access subscriber.
Having this issue right now on my Nexus 7 2013 - both on WiFi and LTE. Like you, I've tried all the usual tricks - deleting app, wiping cache etc.
I'm going to try CM12.1 now and see if it's going to make any difference.
EDIT: So I installed CM12 and it's working great! Play Music works fine with radio + downloaded music + library.

Yeah - I did a factory reset and it works now. Weird. And a bit of a hassle...
Cache music option off fixes it. Temporary fix though, you loose ur album art. No more error message though. Looking for a permanent fix though.

Anyway to fix Bluetooth issues?

This issue only started for me about a month ago and has gotten progressively worse.
Every time I open Google apps that could be used to stream music (play music, YouTube), I get a message saying that Bluetooth has stopped.
It happens whether I'm actually connected to a Bluetooth device or not and I can't find a way to prevent it. It never used to happen while using power amp either.
Is there anything that can be done?
Edit: It happens any time I play music now
Edit 2: The problem seems to be related to an update of the play music app. I uninstalled the update and only have the base version of the app now and everything is working fine.
Try going into apps in sttings if ure rooted use a diffrent app manager and clear the cache and data on bluetooth
