Hey. I'm getting my Nexus S 4g tomorrow and giving up my EVO Shift. Tired of the added bulk with the keyboard. Anyway I'm looking for a ROM that is pure aosp (no cm7) but has facebook sync. Any recommendations?

BuglessPete's GPA rom, its the best out there, pure aosp, and has facebook sync. That in combination with the matrix kernel is a killer combo. I've tried other roms and kernels, but these two are what I always go back to.

You might wanna try oxygen also, It's very stable and has minimal features.
i can say , more stock , more stable , more battery life ...

Nexus MV has the extra necessary features, and a good battery life.
Lurve it.
Another vote for Oxygen here. It's pretty minimalistic but has some nice features and works well for what I need.
try them all, use the one that YOU enjoy
Bugless Beast, MIUI.us and NSCollab- I highly recommend mathkid95's Matr1x kernel for best battery. Always wipe cache/dalvik 1st!

MIUI on this phone would be amazing. Especially being the first dual-core phone from HTC.
What HTC Phone that currently has the MIUI Rom is similar to the system specs of the Sensation? I believe both the EVO and MT4G had ports from the builds for the Nexus, which made them faster and easier to port than to start from scratch.
As I understand, everyone is still waiting for some extra unlocking goodness before the real dirt begins...but this project would probably be the biggest of all over any CM, Vanilla, or Sense ports combined.

Oh no sir. No no nooo LOL. This is nothing like MIUI. Its not just the GUI (which looks nothing like this combo), but the coding and interface and stability.
MIUI is...a soulful experience. Nothing can compare.

I'll be eagerly awaiting MiUi!!! Will most likely have to use CM until we get MiUi. That's once we get CM lol. That should be very soon.
I'm hoping we can just get a port from the Xiaomi M1!
The Xiaomi M1 (MIUI Phone) is brings a faster Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 768MB of ROM.

My understanding is that MIUI gets developed based upon the CM build for a particular device. Do you know if that is accurate? Or is that just something which happened before in the past, but is not always the process for all builds?
In any case, I will also be eagerly awaiting some good news from kmobs about a stable CM build for our newly-freed phones :]

It's eyecandy + functionality + speed!!!!
It's a good clean performing ROM just like CyanogenMod but with a different UI and some other differences here and there. People say it looks too iPhone'ish but themes and tweaking can change that. I will admit it takes some good features from the iPhone. Surprised Apple isn't suing them....
I've used both CM and MiUi heavily. Love them both to death but I prefer the eyecandy of MiUi and the functionality more.
Sensation is my first Android phone and it looks like CM7 and MIUI are the most hyped/praised ROM's and I can't wait to try them out when they arrive!
I can't wait for a MIUI Rom for the HTC Sensation! I am in love with the practicality of their ROMS. Does anyone know if there is even confirmation that they are working on one as we speak?

I absolutely agree!!! I can barely look at my sensation without MIUI. I still have a mint condition Glacier with MIUI on it and I use it as my everyday phone still just because of MIUI. It is smoother than my sensation is right now for sure!
BUT don't get me wrong the sensation and MIUI are gonna be a match made in android heaven! They are meant to be together. Until then.... I'll play with whatever other roms are out there.

I'm using Koush A10, have to say I love it. I did see any bug so far(2 days)
I was using Kwiboo 1.5, i was really good too.(However USB and camcorder was work.)
Compare to to Kwiboo's rom koush's one seems like a little laggy.
So tell me which one you using?
Kwiboo rom is the fastest but aosp rom has the most features and the only one to have home screen landscape mode but koush rom is the first I tried with the most working features idk if one is better than the other
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Both are nice. I had the fewest problems with Koush.
The speed is just not there though. After a full bug-free day with Koush I went back to 2.3.7 because it's just so much faster. I'm not encouraged about ICS on this device.
Netiher, tried them both and I must say they are good but they don't even touch AOSP's ICS rom. Get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364221

Neither
I was on oICS, liked it better than the 2 that the OP mentioned, but now I'm on Brainmasters build for NS4G, & for my phone, it's the best. Out of the box it's faster & smoother than the other builds, even with custom kernels & overclocking.

He has a couple versions, one of which is based on Koush I believe.
How does AOSP's ICS ROM compare to a 2.3 ROM like CM7? In my testing of Koush's and another ICS ROM, I couldn't believe how sluggish my NS4G was.

However, I see inclination of couple folks for AOSP ROM... I'll wait for a couple of hrs, if there is one more vote for AOSP I'll try it...

Ok so I've had it with my phone lagging, I'm running aosp 4.1 JR00L. Is 4.2 any better?
I've been only hearing good things about rasbean and trinity kernal, so can somebody please link me to it because I can't find it in the developer section.
If I don't like rasbean then can I just download cm from their website and flash cm7/cm9 (I don't have to flash any other stuff like gaps, or a new kernal do I?)
I appreciate the help.
here is the link of rasbeanjelly
http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=rasbeanjelly&device=crespo
if you flash cm7 or cm9 you'll have to flash gapps.
How do you flash your roms? And what kernel do you use? Try running bedalus kernel as it has bigmem. This can reduce lag as well.
And you'll definitely like rasbeanjelly with trinity kernel.
Rom: see above link
Trinity Kernel: www.derkernel.com

Hitted. Thank you again!
Sense or non-Sense is completely personal preference. There are reasons to choose Sense like eye candy, HTC apps and not generally breaking the harmony of a HTC device; while AOSP(non-Sense) has its own, like being mostly open source, having features of custom ROMs, being free from HTC framework that some call bloatware and having a more recent version than Sense(4.0.3 vs. 4.1.2(4.2.1 on the way)).
I'm currently on the ROM: Resurrection Remix v5.1.5 but I experience it as a pretty unstable ROM so I want a new and stable KitKat ROM (4.4.4).
I was thinking about flashing Cyanogenmod or ParanoidAndroid but maybe there is also a better ROM but I don't really know.
I need a stable ROM for daily use with good/smooth performance and good battery life.
With Resurrection Remix I had apps that I use a lot often force closing on me like Whatsapp+ and Swype and also background apps often randomly stops working.
Also having a lot of SOD's with it and very laggy moments.
So what are you guys suggestions of flashing which ROM and why?
I really don't know, wtf is going on. U all guys have sods, force closes etc. I have used RR rom since last summer and never haven't had big problems in this rom.

If I'm gone do a clean flash then I just want a new ROM.
RR is still and stays 4.4.2 and I would like to upgrade to 4.4.4.

Okay that's what I need a stable ROM, but what about the smoothness/performance? But I also want to hear some stuff about CM11 or other ROM's.
Didn't had any RR on nebula and what is BLN? (Noob question I know...)
Anyone suggestions left? I would like to flash a new ROM tonight and I'm still not sure if I need to flash CM11 or PA...
Also didn't heard about any other ROM's.

I understand, thanks for explaining!
What about the smoothness/performance/battery just like I asked in the previous question?
On the topic of PA it says that Play Services drain battery..?
Okay planning to flash a new ROM tomorrow night because tonight I didn't had much chance to do it and I still didn't hear anything else from other ROM's.
So please does anyone else has something to tell about other ROM's?
I'd take in consideration PacMan too. Seems like a decent combination of other roms, but haven't tried it.

I also was looking at PAC-man but didn't heard anything from it on this topic.
Also I think it's kinda weird that the XDA users who are active on the threads of the ROM's doesn't say anything in these kinda threads because I think they have the most experience with different ROM's
I'm planning to flash a new ROM tomorrow morning because I have a busy night today and what it now looks like is that it will be PA.

I agree. Also, tell me the effect. I am able to get a better battery life with RR and nebula kernel.

I'm currently on RR and nebula and have terrible battery life...
Btw I'm not gone flash the ROM tomorrow because I also am very busy then.
I'm planning to flash it Thursday or Friday.
In the mean time I hope I get some more reply's on this thread and also from the XDA users who are active on the threads of the ROM's
Yeah, seems like I was too quick to judge xD original RR kernel is the best for RR.
