Yes, that's correct. Question... when you pasted the browser apk in the app folder did you attempt to install it again?

If you're running a custom ROM, just reflash it. If you're using a ROM that keeps their Google Apps as a separate download, just flash the GAPPS zip and you should be good to go. If that doesn't work then do a full wipe and reflash everything. I used to run into things like this, when in doubt make a back up

First off I take no credit I jus followed the directions given by others and decided to post for any of those having troubles jus uninstall your old adobe flash and put this one in using astro or what ever file manager you use and it should be golden. And yes this is the most current special thx to Almighty1 for developing the fix and to the others with signature idea if I left anyone out my apologies.
Will not install on stock Sprint EVO. Do you need root for this?
you do need root for it to work
Once I download this then what, do I need to place this in a certain folder, and should I download adobe flash 10.2 with with this fix for hulu?

No jus download this and install like any other app and it will work on the hulu app or or the internet jus change your user agent to IE6 its not a fix its the adobe app with the fix already in it jus uninstall the old adobe and put this in gets no easier
Does not work, i tried it with the HULU App and i tried it with HULU.com -- (and i changed the string to desktop in dolphin browser)
On hulu.com it just said that i need to have flash installed (seemed as though it showed i didn't have any flash installed) -- and once i reverted back to stock flash 10.2 it didn't say that anymore
Dont know what to say Ive got some confirmation from another that it worked for him also worked for me so any feedback from others would be appreciated

You did something wrong then, works great for me. Uninstalled the old version, installed this one and voila HULU working with the new version of Flash.
Thx 4 the feedback I really felt I had this aced
Works great!
Not sure what i could have done wrong?
I went into the market and chose uninstall flash 10.2 --
Then i went into ES file explorer and installed the hacked flash from this thread, then i installed the HULU apk
and had no luck.. do i need to do a restart after installing it or something?
am i missing something?
Are you on gingerbread cuz this is a mod for gingerbread I'm pretty sure

I have just GEDified my non-USA Xoom and and am enjoying ICS.
Much smoother and I think the screen seems clearer and brighter
However I am just getting used to Chrome and have noticed some sites with video behave differently on Chrome compared to the stock browser.
On Chrome I get an error message saying I need Flash 9.0 or higher and on the stock the video plays. I have Flash 11.0 installed.
Any ideas?

Ignore this. I've found the "answer" but not a solution on another forum. All very confusing.
If anyone is interested, the answer is: Chrome doesn't support flash.
Does it if you side load on JB?

No. Adobe will only allow it on the stock browser, not Chrome.

It is but you can download the ICS stock browser in JB through the market then manually download and install the flash APK to get flash in JB. It will never be available in Chrome mobile unless adobe make a big backtrack on their current policies.

no chrome support for flash. newer dolphin builds also disable it. I have tested it successfully with stock, firefox, tint, and maxathon browsers. I think boat browser works as well. jb still supports flash in sdk so unless the app takes steps to disable it (eg dolphin, chrome) there are many options.

Ok, I have an S3 running 4.1.2 because i dont want to lose my flash player ability. I am rooted and have the update app (sdm 1.0) frozen in titanium backup to avoid the update messages. I am running the stock rom. I want to install the AOSP browser and cannot find anything on how to install it with my particular setup. I am at wits end and if someone could direct me on what to do, i would greatly appreciate it.
thanks

Dolphin browser will play flash as well, although you have to enable it in settings first for it to work. I have upgraded to kitkat & flash works fine this way, although I did install adobeflash.apk along so not sure if that is needed too.

If anyone is interested and hasn't already discovered this on their own, Firefox has made flash work again. Just download and install the newest version of Firefox. Then go to http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk. download and install this version of flash and go to town. Some sites will recognize the mobile browser and disable flash, but switching to the desktop mode will bypass this
