I have tried the stock Browser as well as Miren, Firefox Nightly, Opera, and others. Browser seems to have a session restore as long as it doesn't crash or the Transformer reboot. Firefox will show you what tabs were open before but cannot restore to the same page position as when the browser was closed like the normal Firefox does. Is there any browser that has session restore that works the same as the Desktop Firefox does with restoring all tabs and position?
Wow
Nothing? I was hoping someone knew of a browser that I didn't know about yet. Not even on an alternative market or currently alpha testing?

Thanks. I will give that a try.

I was trying to "install" my lastpass bookmarklet but it is not working for me.
I also tried opera, dolphin tablet beta and dolphin hd. I have the bookmarklet on my HTC Desire and think its very handy.
I tried to copy the code to a new bookmark in the hc browser, but it only says, that no programm can handle this operation.
So, somebody has an idea on how to get it to work?

Not on stock browser. You can use ICS Browser+.
On CM9 you can change the user agent string on stock browser.

It is permanent, but you have to go into settings and change it from there. Simply clicking the "request desktop site" does not save it.
Yahoo refuses to load the desktop page using Opera on my TF by default.
If I do a Google search using Opera & go to a link on the first page. When I try to go back Opera takes me back to main Google search page instead of back to the first page of my original search.
Opera frequently crashes too and I never had any of the issues before ICS.
Best work around I have found for stock browser is to request full site, then bookmark the site and just load from bookmark.

Is anyone having trouble with the regular internet browser? At least once a day when I try to open a bookmark I get a black screen and have to go out to the home screen and force close the app. I have a rooted phone but I don't think it has anything to do with it as I haven't flashed anything onto my phone or done anything special. I also clear my cache on a regular basis. Any advice would be appreciated!
I use chrome as my browser.

Agreed.
Stock browser is a pathetic clone of AOSP. It looks almost the same, but runs like poo.

On the old browser I was able to save bookmarks to my Google account but after updating to jelly bean I only see local bookmarks. Does anyone know of a way to get the other bookmarks to appear? When I first opened the browser it did pop up for authorization to connect to Gmail

I have the same issue. Is this a bug or feature?
Looks like a glorious new feature. I came to this forum hoping to find a fix for this, but since seeing others with this problem my hopes have been dashed. Anyone suggest a good third party solution? Stock browser loads soooo much faster than Chrome that jumping through hoops for bookmarks is worth it.
This new "feature" was bugging me at first too but I found a work around with APW from the app store. Just download the app and put the bookmark widget on your home screen configure it to use chrome's bookmarks. But when you tap on the bookmark on the widget it'll actually ask you what browser you want to use and you can set the default for the stock browser. So now I can just tap on any of the bookmarks that was orignally on chrome and it will open in the stock browser
Great idea Napkun. Since I already have APW, I'll go ahead and do it.
That being said, has anybody found a fix yet? Stock browser is so much faster than Chrome.
Use cmarks to import chrome bookmarks in stock browser.
The problem I'm discovering with the solutions proposed so far is that none of them really bring back the sync ability. What happens when I'm in the stock browser and want to book-mark? You have to copy the URL, nav into the third party tool or Chrome itself to add the item. Rather clunky. The closest I've found to replicating the old sync ability is GMarks, but that project seems to have been abandoned over a year ago just before adding ICS support. It was open source so perhaps someone with time on their hands could pick it up and push it over the goal line.
This issue has really been bothering me. There is no reason to exclude the Google bookmarks. One of the main reasons I got an android tablet was the ability to sync everything that I have on my nexus phone. This and the locked bootloader issue have me considering returning this tablet.

Man, I would love to try that solution, but I've never installed Browser2Ram under Jelly Bean!
Maybe I should try installing it just to un-install it! You never know...
EDIT: Man, for some reason, I thought I read that Browser2RAM didn't work properly on Jelly Bean, but it seems to make the stock browser much faster! I think I'll just leave it installed at this point!

I'm using browser2ram with Chrome. When I hit bookmarks, I have 3 folders: 1. Destop bookmarks(global imported from my pc), 2. Other bookmarks(nothing inside), 3. mobile bookmarks (my local tablet bookmarks). Is this what you're talking about??? I don't understand why browser2ram make your bookmarks disappear?
Here is the chrome bookmark sync file. You can install it as usual or move it to system/apps as long as you set permissions rwxrxrx

No I have disabled chrome. I'm talking about the stock browser which used to be able to sync bookmarks with chrome. Anyway sync adapter posted above for those who want it back.
I installed gapps againand browser now appears in accounts settings.

Every time I want to download a .pptx file through Google Chrome it says file download completed, but when I try to open it through quickoffice, it says file corrupted. If I download the file through dolphin browser it works fine. Anyone else having this problem? Also, on a side note, anyone else finding the new download screen with the loading bar that takes up the whole screen on Chrome unbelievably annoying? Thanks in advance!

Yeah Chrome is exceptionally well at downloading corrupted files and has been for a while. Especially with anything android related. I generally use Opera Classic browser for downloads, Dolphin browser is pretty good too.

And specific fixed that you know of? I'd rather not have to completely switch browsers. In fact, just last month, Chrome was working fine for me. Ever since the update that made the download screen into the loading bar

Unfortunately no I don't know of a fix, next update hopefully. I've had issues using Chrome for downloads only quite a few times. Like any time that I've downloaded any ROM with Chrome it's corrupted. I definitely prefer Chrome as well and still use it daily. I really only use Opera Classic for downloads. If you download a lot you could check out Opera Mini, it's a lite weight version of classic.
