More info and download links on my site: http://www.peteralfonso.com/2011/10/download-bugless-beast-v-gpa19-android.html
Downloading it and it's running smooth but how is this bugless beast vs. regular gpa, seems like just a stock 2.3.7
There are less customizations and most likely it is smoother than gpa and prob just wanted to bring the name back it's much cooler. My answer may not b right though just kinda a guess lol
Which kernel would you recommend for this ROM?
I used the lowest kernel for my download and phone. For some reason, the newer ones didn't work well and never install until I set it to the lowest one. Good luck.

Anyone having issues with the phone losing data connection and the data connection not coming back without a reboot? I've tried putting it into airplane mode but that just gets stuck. By "stuck" the phone gets into a state where it says airplane mode is ON but still shows the cellular signal bars and won't allow me to turn off airplane mode without a reboot.
This ROM is working pretty well for me other than the issue above.
Working great for me with SV 1GHZ kernel from pete.

Would this ROM work with a flashed to metro phone? In other words, will the NV items stick after flashing ROM?

Ok, so for those of you who are wondering where to find the new Sprint CDMA HTC Hero radio, here it is This is for Sprint users on any rom; however if you're using Firerat's, it will not be as simple as flashing the radio. For those of you running Firerat's, either follow these instructions to flash the radio or see this thread. For those of you NOT running Firerat's, here are the steps to flash:
Download the radio and place on the root of your sd card
Choose "install zip from sd card" in recovery
Select the radio
It should flash, and then ask you to reboot the phone via the menu.
Select "reboot phone" from the recovery menu
The phone should reboot, with a big box and android showing
The phone will then go back to recovey, and say "Formating Cache..."
Wait about 5 seconds, and then reboot!
You're done then, new radio should be flashed! Let me know if you need anything or want to express thanks!
Thanks to Nfinite for the radio pull, here's the MD5 for it: F15CF77B1C08CFB1F357E2574F386F5F
Thanks for this. I revamped my HBOOT thread and included a link to here to encourage people to use this method whenever possible.

You both are so awesome, thank you!
Did not seem to impact signal so far, though I've only tried laying here in bed. I'll report back after work Monday, as that is always the major radio killer spot for me.
Side note: could be a placebo, but data does ' seem' snappier. I'll report back Monday and hopefully have more answers.
At least as good, if not better so THANKS!!!

No noticeable difference as of yet, but we'll see once I get home how it fares.
Since I use firerats and that method seems daunting, any potential issues with just staying with the old radio? I am due a new phone in Feb and just thinking it might be 'easier' to just stick with the old...also, does anyone know if the PRL is still 60671 or has that been updated also?
Will this work on various software build versions of the stock (rooted) Sprint Hero? Just asking because I didn't upgrade to the latest OTA so I'm still running 2.31.651.7.

Yes it will work.It won't change from custom rom to custom rom.Only if you flash a different radio or if your service provider changes it in a update.(Impaler or anybody if I'm wrong please feel free to correct me.)

That's a rom issue, not a radio issue. I'd flash deca's 691 capped CFS kernel; that should fix it

since our atrix 2 used only one referance in the build.prop for the radio and the new leaked sgII ics firmware also does and is already [email protected] is it posibul that it can be ported to our phone?
It doesn't matter how many references there are in the build.prop it has to be the same antenna. I don't think the sg2 has the same antenna as the Atrix 2.

wait a minute. You flashed
- A radio that WORKED
- That was designed for ICS
?
no not one for ics, but they already have ics roms that work for that one and it also works on the asian and our mb865 it is a little buggy as it does not like to turn the radio back on every once in a while after I put it in airplane mode and needs to be restarted as it tends to hang when it does that but over all it works very good

4g = lte on cm9. Have you tried searching?

There is LTE , when your 4G icon shows it means it's LTE. It's just the way ROM is set up, there is no LTE Icon included.
Get Speed Test from Market, if Download is between 10-20 mbps and Upload is 5-10 mbps, they you are good.!

Try to download the APK to your SD card and install directly, instead of going through the Play Store. There's a link to the Dev Host site somewhere in the theads, I just don't remember where. Also, be sure to install the FoxFi proxy add-in.
A *better* solution is to just flash a custom ROM that has Secure WiFi Tethering enabled.

Firstly, I apologize if I'm painfully "noob" with the question(s)
So I'm running on my TBolt [ROM] CM9 / LiquidSmooth / AOKP / Random ICS
htc_mecha-ics-eng.v1.5
and I'm unsure of how to tell what radio(s) I have running... But my data 4g/3g cuts in and out pretty frequently... I've searched for a remedy for it, but can't seem to find one.
Any help? Is it the Rom in general?
Any responses are appreciated,
again sorry if I've asked anything that's already been answered.

Any ICS ROM will have data issues to some extent. You need to flash a radio to your phone, which may help some... but still expect some drops of data. Before I recommend one, what are the numbers shown under your baseband info?

Not entirely true there. Santos ics sense based roms does not have this data dropping issue like the liquid/twisted roms do. His latest ics sense 4 Rom is spot on.
To the op the main reason why the aoap ics Rom has data drop issues is because there is no ril from HTC based for aosp. So liquid had to hack together a ril to work so in a nutshell that's the main reason why for the data drops. Even aosp gingerbread Rom has data drops some but no where as bad as ics versions.

For me I still get data drops on both of Santod's RoMs
When I loose data it is from being in an area with no signal, the phone will not reconnect to data even if I am in an area where i have full bars.
Again, this only happens if I am in an area that has data, then I move to an area that has no data, and back.... but they still do drop data.
