[Q] Bricked my I9001? - Galaxy S Plus I9001 Android Development

Hey guys,
I tried to install TW4 but that didnt worked for me.
Now i only have a black sreen when the phone starts.
And i cant get Odin to work because i cant connect the phone to the pc with usb.. i only can get in boot mode.
Anyone know a soluction to my problem?

Can you get to Download mode...home+volumedown+power button combination??

Is that the same way as going into boot mode?
instead pushing vol.up button i need to push vol.down button?
Edit:
Yes i can get in download mode

so if you can enter download mode there is no problem, just install new rom ...

when i try to install a new rom with odin it gives me a massege "connect a telephone" but it is connected through usb..
i got the ops file in odin and by "one package" i put the md5 file.
But then i get that massege "connect a telephone"

Try an other USB-port, make sure Kies is not running and use Odin 4.43.

i dont have kies on the computer and i use odin 4.43.
i tried another usb port but no changes..

But Kies includes drivers for the phone - so do you have properly installed drivers for your phone?
OT: Is there a chance to take back given "Thanks"? I accidentally pressed "thanks" instead of "quote"

Yeah but such a problem seems to occur relative often.
I would try to reinstall drivers, maybe with the Kies-drivers or use another computer.

I have similar problem. There is the same symptoms.
I have try:
- other usb ports
- other drivers (original samsung / kies drivers)
- other pc
- kill kies processes
- misc roms
and.. nothing..
I cant get recovery mode.. There is ramdump mode instead of recovery :/
Actually my i9001 is bricked and I cant load any rom..
Maybe my sgs is locked by bootloader or something?

if ure entering ramdump mode then u dont have the correct combination of buttons down when booting up:
Vol + / Power = Recovery Mode
Vol + / Home / Power = Ramdump Mode
Vol - / Home / Power = Download Mode
cheers

At least your guide on how to get to recovery is a big fail. That works with I9000, not I9001. Vol + / Power, WHEN the samsung text appears, release both buttons. AND when the lights in the softkeys turn on, quickly tap MENU, that's how to boot to recovery mode

well sorry if i left that part out, i assumed he would know how to navigate the recovery mode once he actually got the button combo right. and the only fail here is ur rude attitude, deff. no need for that around here imho.
aside from that, all these instructions are correct.
cheers

I solved the problem.
Unfortunately not on my PC. My i9001 needed a box which I solved all mistakes.
Now I have Gingerbread with root
Unfortunately I still hav a problem with my PC which doesn't want connect with sgs.. :/
I will try trial and error method.

Your phone doesn't vibrate when you turn on the phone right? If so, congratz u just hardbrick the phone. Next stop, your nearest phone shop!
Thats right!
Could you help me? How can I go into Download Mode if the "Home" button doesn't work (hardware trouble).
Is any variants to do it with any software or ADB?

Hi,
I have one question.
I have a Samsung gio that I hardbricked ( I know, that only samsung. Could help me on this)
The question is: when I press vol up + home + power the mobile enters in a mode that my pc recognizes. And install the drivers even odin detects that. So what is that mode, and for what is he for?
sorry the bad english
Anyone?

How do you know that you hardbricked it and only Samsung can help you?
The key combinations vol up + home + power and vol down + home + power get you into either recovery mode or download mode.
If you can get in download mode, you could flash a new firmware onto your softbricked phone.
I know that is hardbricked because I flash a Rom manager recovery, so I assume that I damage the SBL (or the Pbl).
I can't put the phone in download mode, even with a jig. I just can put in recovery mode ( vol up + home + power) but without any image on display. I already try to flash in this mode but odin stay stuck in "setup connection... ".
Correct me if iam wrong, but isnt the phone hardbricked? And in this state I think only samsung or someone with a jtag could help me, right?
Thanks for answer

Are you talking about a P500 or variant? If so, can you get the device in to fastboot mode?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that device variant. Ok. I see it's a Korean model P500. Power off device. Here are some key combinations
Power + Volume Up + Home = Recovery ( hold all buttons until recovery appears )
Power + Volume Down + Back = Emergency Mode
Power + Volume Down + Home = Fastboot Mode
If number 1 works, wipe cache and dalvik cache again and then reboot. PC should detect device when connected.
If number 3 works, download Android Flash Recovery from my signature and use it to flash a recovery to the device. Complete instructions are in the download package.
Other than that, I dunno what to say.

I am at a loss on this one. Without drivers, there's no PC software out there that can fix it. Not to my knowledge anyway. Sorry.

Download Android Flash Recovery from my signature. It has known good drivers for LG Android devices in the USB folder. If you had drivers installed before this problem, then new drivers won't fix it either.
I had them installed on my computer still no sign of phone

HELP: stuck in Smart Switch mode

Need serious help. My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is soft brick I think.
I was able to go into recovery and download mode (VOL DOWN + POWER + HOME keys).
Now it's currently stuck in Smart Switch mode.
I cannot take out the battery so the phone cannot be switched off that easily.
Does anyone know how to get out of Smart Switch mode?

Press 'Power' + 'Home' + 'Volume -' for about 30 second, phone must restart that way. Just reflash your phone using latest Odin 3.12.7 (and latest Samsung USB drivers) to latest stock firmware for your model (you get it via SamFirm) then flash CF_AutoRoot & TWRP and do what you want!

I figured out how the DOWN POWER HOME button works only while usb is connected.
I can now use odin.. but now I get NAND failed during flash

Just flash stock rom with odin, conect to pc pressing vol + and vol - to get download mode
It doesn't react with + - buttons, that is why i can't flash it
What is the last OS you are running?
If the phone keeps restarting, first connect the phone to your PC via USB cable.
Then
1. Keep Vol+ and POWER pressed.
or
2. Keep Vol- and POWER Pressed.
Thank you but it seems that my motherboard is damaged
Thank you but it seems that my motherboard is damaged
I do not think it has been damaged, try pressing vol + vol- boot at the same time a couple of times and then the third release the vol + i the boot and it will restart in dowload mode. then flash with odin each of the partitions of an original rom.
good luck
