[Q] Lens cover replacement - HTC Sensation

Here's the jist of it, I ended up shattering the camera lens cover on my HTC Sensation. Now the pictures look just fine when I take a picture but I see this becoming a problem in the future....is there anyway to replace this lens cover or am I totally screwed?

Clean camera lens

Hi Everyone
Does anyone know how to take apart the VOX so that the camera lens can be cleaned... mine has some moisture behind it the lens cover.
I have tried to find a service manual but cant find one...
Anyone know ?
Cheers

You can carefully pry off the silver back (saying 2.0 megapixels) with a small knife and then you'll have access to the plastic lens-cover, which also can be removed. It's just glued to the back.
However, I have the same problem... It's like a haze on the plastic, haven't been able to clean it :-( Have been thinking to just remove the plastic lens cover, pictures are much clearer without it!

Same problem here but I'm afraid the camera lens won't take the dirt and dust which it is exposed to even when using and transporting the phone very carefully. Thus I did not remove the cover yet, although the photos do look somewhat hazy.

Camera Lens Scratched

After trying to clean the dust gathered in the camera (Thanks HTC for not covering it) my lens got scratched somehow. I can take pictures and haven't noticed any flaws or bad photos but the focus seems a little bit weird now. Close things to the camera don't focus very well and I think it's the scratches fault.
Did anyone here replace their Sensation camera some time? Was it easy? They are cheap at eBay, and I replaced some iPhone cameras before. Or is there some DIY to remove lens scratches? Please let me know what can be done. :banghead:
The sensations camera does not focus well with near objects. So changing the lens may not help.

very blurry camera, anyone else?

I bought the HTC One M8 on launch day and have taken very good care of it since. Recently, the back camera has been taking very blurry pictures. The front camera is fine though. The lens is not cracked or scratched at all. I've wiped the lens down very good, but it doesn't help (both main and duo lens). Anyone else have this problem?
Are you sure it's not scratched? I had to remove the film that was on the camera as I had some scratches and noticed a degraded picture. Everything is great now. You can Google around for ways to remove the film on the camera.

I had this problem when I first bought mine. I'm not sure if was the case I had on it or the film. But I changed the case and whipped the flim with a soft cloth an rebooted(idk y I rebooted lol) but it worked
HTC ONE M8?
Can try the old toothpaste trick. Get some toothpaste on a Q-Tip and rub it on the lens a bit. Then clean it off. Concept of waxing a car kind of. Worked on all phones I've had in the past.
The blurriness was due to scratches on the screen after all. I used some car polish to buff it out, now the pics are better than ever.
I have a problem with the front Facing Cam having fuzzy and blurry pics. I will try the toothpaste trick to see if it helps

Bad picture quality because of camera lens!

Has anyone else seen this? My camera quality slowly got worse and worse. I went to get my phone replaced under warranty and got hassled around because of the known hairline back that happens around the microphone port so I decided to take the lens off. It takes perfect pics now. I'm very gentle with my phones. It's in perfect condition so I don't even understand how the lens got this way. Bought a new one on ebay for $4 and will replace it myself. Here's what my pics look like.. One is the front camera and the horrible looking one is the rear camera.
When you say camera lens, are you talking about the protective plastic piece? That's not a lens, it's just a piece of protection stuck on like the plastic cover found on your screen when unboxing. The actual camera lens is glass and would be tough to scratch.

No... I understand.... Protective plastic was removed a LONG time ago. My photos appear cloudy as well, and slowly getting worse. if I look at the lens it looks like it's got a sheen over it and no matter what I do I can't rub it off I can't clean it off. What do I want for a buck though I guess.... right? Dollar phone.
I was able to clean the sheen off with some tooth paste, q-tip then some alcohol to shine it up. Works great now, no scratches
My bro's Verizon model doesn't have the coating. Maybe it was a mistake during assembly, didn't get cleaned off at the right time.

[Q] New cameralens creates blurry photos

So, I got The camera lens on my s6 fixed at a local repair. I made That decison because every charged me like 250 euro(286 dollars) for repair. So, I got it fixed for 50 euro(Huge drop in price, I know). After I got it fixed, my photos turned out to be Blurry. When I broke The camera lens I also noticed That The camera had also got scratched, but I still could got some decent shots, without The cameralens.
I also noticed That The new camera lens got a hq logo in left upper corner. I inmediately thought...this is not an original Samsung part. But my question is: does The scratched camera create Blurry pictures or is because The cameralens isnt a original Samsung part?
I also have some example pictures shot with The new cameralens. I also shot some.with my girlfriends s6.

What is the difference between the scratched "cameralens" and "camera"?
You mean the actual lens is scratched and also the big rounded square protective glass?
Well, in case a not quality replacement part was used, it can have an effect on the overall picture quality.
