Video playback issues (second post since original has been closed and can't reopen)

As noted my original post has been closed and moderator has not replied to my request to re-open it:
My issue is that ESPN.COM does not allow their videos to playback on Android and wanted to share my concerns and findings. Bellow is a screen shot of the problem

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing these problems.
We have not received any other complaints regarding this issue. I also logged in and was not able to duplicate the issue.
Perhaps it was a temporary problem, or a problem with your browser or internet service provider. Please restart your device, install an alternate browser and try again and see if you still have the problem. You should also try accessing the content from another device to see if the issue continues. If a restart does not resolve your issue, then you will need to contact your internet service provider or system administrator as everything is working fine from our side.
For live assistance with this or any other issue, please call Customer Care at 1-888-549-3776 (ESPN) between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. EST.

This is my reply to them:
Please note that every time I try to access your website, no matter what browser I use, I always have the same issue. I am running Android version 4.0. This is not an ISP issue it is an issue with ESPN.COM not allowed to play video on my devise. Please see the attached screen shot. None of your trouble shooting steps resolves the issue. Also I do not have any issue playing video from other websites. ESPN is not allowing me to view their videos on my devise. Please advise.

i got that same problem when i use the desktop version of the go espn on the device... but no problem when using mobile/tablet version at m.espn.go.com
but the video will be streaming from android video player (or whatever video player you choose) when you click the video link... and sometimes the click link to theirs apps on tablet advert...

Ahhh just tested it and you are right, now wondering why it only works in this setup, it was not like this before.

Now I upload APK file as attachment.

I am glad i have occassion for downloading this application, from attachement, as it was since beginning of xdadev, before android era.
Two things after quick test, as I see it:
- no 480p for 480p screens in quality options(-1, okk we all know, that rich people have htc one, or just feeble s4, and 480p suck(especially while used on 480p screens used by majority of poor people without s3 or h1)),
- no skinning(even light/dark), (-1, we all know, that we DO like charging devices' battery all the time, and we all do like white ffffff color as GUI at night, as we are Walmart consumers uisng device in bright light only, shout with me: NIGHTIME SUCK!).
Third, and forth thing:
+ works,
+ feels snappy.
So, when we could expect r2?

Hi, I add 480 support now. Only available on android 4.0+, YouTube only provide 480p in webm format, which means only can use software decoder. Please update the APK from attachment.

This is a great app, and highly recommended.
Is it possible to have a tablet version of the app?
Because the section showing the video is a bit small on my tablet, yet it is perfectly fine on my phone.

Thanks the problem fixed.
I noticed that I can't click on the uploader names when watching videos.
It would be great if I could click on any user names and see their channels and playlists.

I have a problem that even after I quit the app I still get the notification of the last video I was watching in popup mode.

There is no inverted style right now. I will add it in future.
The notification problem will be fixed in the next version.

More aggressive network buffering, please.

I enjoy watching videos that are hosted on my PC though Windows File Staring. MX Player plays them fine but does not buffer enough video to prevent hiccups in playback. This is especially true with very complex scenes in 1080p. Copying the same video to my device will play uninterrupted, leading me to believe this is an inadequate buffering issue. Pressing pause will not pre-buffer any large amount of video as the user might expect.

It's a well known issue. Since it's already listed in priority list hopefully the developer will improve it in next major version mx player v2.0

Version 2.0 huh. I was hoping this would be something that finds its way into [perhaps] the next minor update. Change some integer value from 50 to 300 and call it good.

I want to know one thing; when reproduced before a live network link, entering places where (playing from network) and the link was there. Now not find it. And is there the last link I've attached. Me question is: I need to change something in the settings to locate? Or should I do?

Yes I've tried itube for android. Please let the itube developer know this problem. Hello my name is Kenny Reid. I am currently using iTube app version 2.5 for android on my Galaxy S7. Can you please fix the slow choppy, not smooth video playback issue. My Galaxy S7 is very fast, very smooth, very powerful, and very capable of playing high definition YouTube videos no problem. iTube is the culprit here, iTube does not play the youtube videos smoothly. My Galaxy S7 is on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Itube has a issue loading or buffering the next video I watch. My internet connection is very fast on wifi and itube still has problem so itube is the culprit here. Please fix these issues for iTube and update iTube to new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Also is there a way to get rid of the ads? The ads are really annoying. It seems like iTube does not play the youtube videos in full HD 1080P and iTube still has trouble playing the video smoothly. Yeah the background audio quality could be better and video quality could be better too. I want to watch HD 1080P youtube videos in itube.

Sorry I don't know the developers name of itube but please update iTube for Marshmallow I really like the itube app .

Still no itube update for marshmallow. Either the developer is no longer working on itube or nobody gives a crap about this app

I'm very certain itube only works with youtube videos.

Try to clone the version 5.6.3 with joystick. This version will work in full screen and back button in the remote should also function to close the application fully.

Few observations.
1. The screen is stretched. It's not that big an issue.
2. Unable to scroll using fire stick remote with the new mouse crossfire in the app. This is more of an issue as u can search in the app but cannot scroll below to see all search results.
3. Home screen of the JIO TV app shows the program timeline which does not get rendered on fire stick unlike the app.

Thank you for the effort of giving this apk. I am having trouble downloading the .apk file. I am trying to use downloader app or browser. I even tried ES explorer. All of them are showing ads and not downloading the file.

wait what ! jio gigafiber only ? So am I not be able to play with some other broadband connection ?
I must say the newest version is a gem all things are corrected including stretched screen.
But again every channel I play it says "Unable to play this program at the moment. Please try again in some time. RETRY" .... I have seen and downloaded all three versions of tejanderrana too. But not working for me. Am I missing something ? Please be kind and share some reply. Means alot thanks in adv.
