hi guys
i just bought a samsung galaxy s, it has been rooted and unlocked, however it will not pick up signal rom my telstra simcard, it has, miui android, and superuser on it, i have no idea what these things are or how to fix it so if someone could help it wood be greatly appreciated

Possibly wrong modem for your carrier.
Not sure what is needed for telstra maybe someone else can tell you more.
You could read on how to flash roms and try roms with different modems, testing if one of them works.
If you are unsure, better wait for some more answers.

Samsung Omnia ROM (Bell)

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone has a canadian ROM for the Samsung omnia (Bell),
My omnia is dead & I'm looking for this ROM
Thanks
Very old question, but still a very good one. Any updates? Has anyone made anything flashable out of stock bell rom dumps?
bump
stuck with a bloated 6.1 sux
I've found quite a few threads on various forums which have been asking for a bell rom upgrade so I'm searching for help here (as well as at ppcgeeks) for instructions on how to dump my rom. I could help by dumping my rom in efforts that someone can strip it of all the various crap that bell has put on this device and maybe even update us bell omnia users to 6.5 but I have NO idea on what the steps are. Help would be appreciated.
Please.
gotta be someone thatll help you fellas out...ask some of the chefs. might be one thatll help out
been waiting a year.

[Q] Help!!!! With Samsung galaxy s ROM

Hello, i've been looking around the web for information about flashing the Galaxy S, and i've ended up here!
There seems to be a lot of custom ROMs for the Galaxy S, and i have no idea which versions work.
i was wondering how the naming of different firmware works.
my baseband version is i9000HVJP3 and im on froyo 2.2.
Is there a specific rom i can only flash to?
my phone is unlocked and i have a vodafone stuff on it.
i've rooted my GS and am looking for the best ways to make my phone a bit faster.
thanks for any suggestions! i'd be greatly appreciated for any help. if there are already threads answering this question, i'll certainly take a look at them. =)
If you have the Fascinate, there are TONS of ROMs. And alot of good ones too!! Try going to the Fascinate Forums. Are you using Odin to do your flashing with?
just read through the threads before flashing the rom to see what kind of feedback people give the rom... my 2cents
When I decided to flash new roms, I started with stock 2.3x in order to get some point of view of the new features(?) speed etc.
Then started to flash custom roms in order to compare with my previous findings.
Attention: When you start flash... you never stop!

[Q] Best Verizon 4G Android (Upgrade time)? Then ROM?

Hi there, I am helping my girl upgrading her line. I am able to root and flash the ROM, but have no idea what phone she should get, then what ROM I should flash.
I have T-MO GS2 and I have flashed more ROMS than I can think of. For her, I don't mind doing all the work but need a phone to start and then a ROM. As I don't have Verizon, can you assist in pointing me in the right phone and ROM direction?
(As I would only flash her ROM every so often, I am honest and have not read all of the Verizon forums to educate myself on those phones, but would appreciate your personal preference)

[Q] Help T-mobile not found in cell networks

Hello, I'm a noob. Thanks for dealing with my noobiness (in advance), But I know you guys(or gals) can help me.
Recently I acquired a HTC one S, I unlocked it and rooted it with much success on my own following tuts here and there.
Today while away from home I was experiencing some issues and decided to "factory restore" it. Now this is the noob part.
I have TWRP(s4) installed in there I somehow deleted EVERYTHING OS and all.
Later today I found a tut on recovering a soft-brick, followed that and now my phone is working perfectly except for one major problem.
It doesn't find T-Mobile US. under network selections it shows AT&T and US. I flashed it using the RUU_ville_ICS_40_s_2.35.531.7_radio (etc...etc...)
My noob question is. How can I get it to work back on T-Mobile US?
What is on it:
Is current;y NOT rooted.
recovery is clockworks.
ROM is from the RUU please tell me if i am missing any info.
Thanks again (in advance) for dealing with my noobiness. Wish there was a way to avoid it but maybe someday I can contribute back to the site.
TL;DR
Used RUU on HTC one s and now can't find T-Mobile US.
How do I get it back on T-Mobile US?
