I'm using the standard HC launcher, and I can't seem to figure out how the heck to use a standard 1280x720 image as my wallpaper. Is this doable without having to only use the standard HC wallpapers?
You can try this one : https://market.android.com/details?...50YW1hbmVnaS53YWxscGFwZXIubXVsdGlwaWN0dXJlIl0.
That will do the job for you.

I don't know about you guys, but being a landscape only user it really bothers me that I have to switch to portrait when changing my live wallepaper. So I fixed up the orientation settings in the LiveWallpapersPicker.apk to support sensor rotation this morning.
It's setup for a CWM flashable zip.
Again this is only for a deodexed rom such as Overcome 2.0. You may be able to use it on an odexed Rom if you delete the LiveWallpapersPicker.odex file, but I haven't tested that.
Before you ask any questions re-read over this post
I'm asking another question, as i prefer to use my tab on landscape mode too
for normal wallpaper, what resolution would be best for it?
coz if i use the available wallpaper, when turned to landscape, the bottom part got cut off
it doesnt
and if you know, where can i download wallpaper that fits landscape mode? i mean an app like flikie wallpaper HD or a site maybe
thanks before
Yeah I have found the same thing. Interestly though it seems to be more pronounced on ADW EX whereas GO launcher seems to display them correctly or close enough that it looks good. Its a great app with some awesome papers but I suspect its got more to do with perhaps the home screen in use when its set. Needs more experimentation but I'm flat out like a lizard drinking ATM.. :-D

To fit best I think its easiest to turn off the scrolling, that's what I always do. For static walls I think your able to figure out the total width, but live wallpapers depend how they're programed.

For a while now I've been using this app called autoresizewallpaper to put landscape wallpapers on my homecomb tablet. It works better than live wallpaper widget but its kind of hard to use. It puts wallpapers on perfectly and keeps the high resolution that HC supports.
Here's the link: https://market.android.com/details?id=jp.hyoromo.automaticsettingwallpaper&hl=en
Anyway you guys should give it a try and see how it works for you.
Btw: make sure that you read the settings because it can be difficult to set up and apply, but its completely worth it.
Alright so I've rooted and got everything updated on 6.2.1 and I've purchased the Christmas HD 3D livewallpaper by dualbootgames and I've noticed the scrolling doesn't appear to work on not just this wallpaper but any wallpaper. Is there a way to make it work?
I was on Go Launcher and I thought maybe it was just that but I downloaded ADW and it still doesn't allow scrolling even with all the settings set to allow scrolling.
As far as I can find out, there's no way to get scrolling wallpaper on the Kindle Fire version of the OS. I'd never actually seen scrolling wallpaper in action till I loaded CM7 on my Fire. Spent a lot of time poking through various files trying to figure out a way to enable it in the stock OS, but no luck.
Ok that's all I wanted to know, thanks. It'd be nice to get it working without having to go to CM7 imo but it is what it is.
I'll add that I'm no expert, so perhaps someone with more skill than I can find a way to enable wallpaper scrolling. I'd certainly like to have it without having to go to CM7. (at least until CM7 has full ability to run the apps that run on the stock OS.)
I have Team Eos 2.0 installed on my Xoom and i want to remove multiple homescreens cause 1 is enough for me,is there any tweak or any way to do that?
I also would like to add this wallpaper:
http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/191/5/5/iPhone_Raindrops_for_Mac_by_PrincessCakeNikki.jpg
as defaul without cropping it, because when im trying to put it i have to always crop it first so it fits in landscape and portrait mode and it screws all the quality of the wallpaper, any suggestions?
I don't think 7he ROM itself is set up for custom home screen counts. But you can download a replacement launcher like Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher. Those are ICS ready and are favored by many. Both are free. Give em a spin

I was wondering the same thing you were, so I took Legatos suggestion and installed nova launcher to see what it does and it took care of the multiple homescreens and other little things.... but i kept having problems with my wallpapers resolution which always have from the start, like you. Try multi picture live wallpaper app. I really like the results. I tried it on the wallpapaer you provided, and considering it isn't optimized for xoom, i think it is turning out pretty good.... hope this helps you, it has me.
id also recommend multi picture live wallpaper, does the job nicely plus its free
Hey,
Can any one tell me how can I save a picture in the default wallpaper folder of my android device??
As every time I set any picture that is not a default picture of my set I've to crop it. I'm using 2 different android devices, one of them is Samsung galaxy star pro, this one is rooted. I've been searching the net for this issue and found that it's packed with the launcher.apk, if it is true then is there any way by which I can set my images without cropping and without using any apps(like image2wallpaper and all)????
I've also tried different kinds of apps, but the results are not satisfactory, in many cases the images is zoomed or some other problem.
So it would be much easier if I can simply put my photos directly into the default WP folder, then I wont have to use any app.

As far as i know size must be horizontal x 2 + vertical x1
Like if you have 720*1280 screen, wallpaper must be 1440*1280
İ am not so sure tho.
I've noticed this too. Part of the cropping 'problem' is due to they way Android is made. As Android is used on both devices that work in portrait (like phones) and landscape (most larger tablets), the OS is made to encompass both. Your default launcher on the other hand may restrict your orientation but the Android OS still has to take in account for the other orientation. This can make finding a wallpaper that works well difficult. The general rule is to find a square image that matches your screens height. This will result in the best, centered, crop.
As for where the default wallpapers are stored, I don't know. I poked around my device for a bit and didn't find any of them. My assumption is they are stored in a system app or archive.

even if I maintain the aspect ratio the scrolling won't work with any images except the default ones. Do you have any suggestions for that ?

That is most likely a restriction of your devices' launcher. An aftermarket launcher like Nova will give you that scrolling effect no problem.
Try CM11 kitkat. It donT really crop the image.
