Can anyone help me with how to get aps2sd functionality to work on a xoom wifi? My device is unrooted (yeah I know, I need to do that) but I have no problem rooting it if it means I will gain this functionality.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can assist.
Why would you want to do that? They are already installed to your 32gb of internal storage... is there any reason to need apps2sd?

I'm wondering the same thing. I have been trying
to root for a few days now with no luck. I need help also
Nope. You'll need a PC.
For a g2x root you will indeed need a PC. Though for flashing Roms and kernels you don't need one.

Sadly enough, you have to have a pc to flash CWM. But after that you can root, flash ROM's, and flash kernels without the need for a PC. Gotta love the G2x!
Thanks guys. I do love the g2x. I dont know why people hate on it so much

Yep, I read a lot of stuff before making my first post and this was one of the things I wanted as well.

I've yet to root mine since there are conflicting reports on various different versions/roms with problems reading sd cards.
darkmans's 4.1.2 stock-deodexed for 8000 looks good but smaw's 8010 fix is only available for 4.1.1 :crying:
Ok so if I root my phone, will I render my insurance useless? What benefits are there? As when I rooted my S2 I just found it very novel, but don't feel like I got to experience the full benefits of it.

For the average user there is no need for root to be honest. It is only when you really get into learning and modding will it be handy. But flashing custom roms has become the cool thing to do (can't wait for that to blow over) and you must have root to do it.

I'm primarily wanting to do it so that the phone believes my sd card is internal memory. Cheers for the reply

Looking at your device you should have native move apps to sd ability. Without the need for root.
Nope no apps install onto the external SD card on the S3, they partially install at the phones discretion, i have no control over it. So the internal memory fills exceptionally fast.

Hi, i have a rooted Galaxy Tab 2 (JB 4.1.1) maybe I have the wrong section but does anyone know how to install apps to the sd card as most of the app2sd apps do not work on emulated sd's or does anyone know of a rom that can do this? Im fairly new to this so please go easy with technical terms. Any help will be appreciated, Thank you in advance.
