What operating system are you running on your computer? I know how to fix this problem if you are using Linux (not sure about other OS's though)

Every procedure I see starts with a windows desktop. I would have to install one, doesn't anyone have linux tools to backup the rom initially so that I can work on porting to the apache? I have been unable to tell if the tools are just a terminal or if they're is something special.

hi! have you tried to run haret on apache ?
You need the pxa27x version:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HaRETDownloadSite
can you make 'dump gpio' ?
Is this still the case?
I used the procedure somewhere else on this list and it used a much newer version of haret, Could that be why I can't ssh in?
okay its my fault for accidentally deleting it but I need the sdk tools. i redownloaded it but instead of a sdk folder there is just a sdk doc file. i read it and downloaded everything through the sdk manager and the tools are still not there. im lost and i looked through the guides and didnt see anything there. so what do I do now?
http://http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Then run the Setup exe
im on a mac...guess i should have said that first but i found it...its just not in the sdk directory anymore...and thats wut i was looking for specifically...the sdk tools now ~/Android/tools
duh...simple answer...just overlooked it trying to get ready for work...lol

I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64-Bit (if you needed to know), thank you for your time and help in advanced.

This may help but I think it wont work with linux :/
You could try this in a virtual machine. After that you can flash a SuperUser/SuperSU zip file to root the stock rom, or install a custom rom from recovery.
good idea but virtual machines might be a bit troublesome but virtualbox will be fine I think.

Yup VirtualBox should do just fine, I'd recommend a Windows 7 installation. There's no need to activate it, since you're only using it to root your device, after that you can just remove the Windows 7 virtual machine.
Hello everyone, this week I installed Android SDK to have time to my phone and install LineageOS.
Well I was really bored and I uninstalled it. I told you that because this morning after I did a todolist to install LineageOS, I tried to install Android SDK again, it failed because it doesnt recognize Java SDK on my computer, I reinstalled it, tryed to change Java folder in system but didnt work.
I have checked lot of forum and nothing... Is it f*cked up for me on this computer ?
Can anyone help me ?
