[MOD] Advanced Power Menu - 4.53/4.54/4.67/5.07 OTA Based Roms - 07/03/12 - EVO 4G Android Development

Greetings Everyone,
I wanted to add a few more options to the Power Menu after having added the Reboot Mod. Also I realized the Restart option that was originally listed was a duplication of an option in the pop up reboot menu, so I took it out. With that said, here are some new additions to the power menu.
For those of you who just want to add a reboot menu option, please go to this link: 4 in 1 Reboot Mod
Advanced Power Menu
Power Off
Reboot (contains Normal Reboot, Hot Restart, Bootloader, Recovery)
Silent Mode
Vibration Mode
Airplane Mode
Mobile Network
Files
4.53 OTA - AdvPowerMenu-4.53_signed.zip
4.54 OTA - AdvPowerMenu-4.53_signed.zip
4.67 OTA - AdvPowerMenu-4.67_signed.zip
5.07 OTA - AdvPowerMenu-5.07_signed.zip
Diff File - APM467-Diff.txt
*note 5.07 has different string.xml id for reboot string
What is needed for this to work.
A DeOdexed OTA based rom
A recovery that flashes edify scripts.
Note
Please check with your rom's developer to see if he/she has made any modifications to the android.policy.jar ... if they haven't and you haven't added any custom modifications that override this file you should be all set..

Good job homie!!!
tapatalk signature here. lovely.

Thank you... This was once again reenabling what was already there..
I never understood HTC for disabling options that were in the base code to start with, except if they wanted the evo stock to look and act less than that it could have become just to get us to buy the newer phones.

I just added this to my EVO and I LOVE it!!!! I'm gladly giving a donation for this one.

I'm still new to rooting so please forgive my ignorance on the subject. I was running Synergy for about a month, but it became unstable and a lot of my apps just stopped working. I ended up going back to my stock backup (which sucks because battery life is pitiful). I miss having these options and would like to get them back. Since I am on stock and I am assuming that means it's Odexed, what would happen if I were to try and flash this?

Sorry about the delay, I haven't pathetically tested this on an odexed ROM, can always give it a shot and if it doesn't work then restore from backup

Sent for the EVO Classic.

Updated the mod to work with 4.67 ota, also added diff files for rom developers/chefs

First of all, ca1ne, thank you for all your contributions to the EVO community.
Secondly, do you have any plans to release a version of the power menu for the 5.07.651.1 OTA?

[ROM] ShadowSense 1.4 - SYSRW-OVERLAY|Undervolt|SILVER Icons|RebootMenu|eXpressoBar

Hi everyone!
Here we are again, I decided to release my personal ROM which is stock OTA froyo 2.2, modded to have everything i need in it.
Now also available on ROM Manager.
I'll start off with some screenshots:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'll list what this ROM consists of.
Base
Stock HTC OTA froyo 2.2
-Perflock disabled
-EXT4 / TUN / FUSE added
-NoFullSleep Wifi module. No 802.11n because of power drains.
-Legacy A2SD+, modified / Dalvik
-CPUFreq interactive/powersave switching, thanks to FloHimself.
-Undervolt for about 75-100mV for extreme powersaving! Thanks to iscaela.
-System partition overlay on /data/sysrw . I will be switching to AUFS2 when
this comes available (or when S-OFF is released publically )
This should allow you to use MetaMorph.
I will probably also release a custom recovery which you can use to either commit or revert changes to the /system overlay, based on ClockWorkMod recovery.
-This has the vanilla Froyo lockscreen. No stupid HTC lockscreen.
-Trackball push to wakeup.
-Disabled vibration from shutdown
-Reboot menu by snq- (allow to reboot normally, to recovery, or bootloader)
-Fixed NewsReader.apk from FC'ing when fast scrolling in feeds with pictures.
Removed:
All social networking apps, teeter, stocks, etc.
Added:
-Titanium Backup
-ROM Manager
-Launcher2
-Extra ported HTC widgets by Paul from Modaco.
The theming was done by re-doing all the battery mods, and framework mods floating around, and REBUILDING the apk's from the ground up. I found that many of the mods consist of half-assed reworked apks. This is CLEAN.
Mind you, the images are done by the authors of these mods, I can't remember which they are, so I will give credit where due.
I will be updating to later OTA releases as they come by, and IF (or when) HTC's kernel source is released, I will do OCUV kernels and such.
On to the download:
ShadowSense 1.4
-If you got ShadowSense <1.4 and want to patch up:
Patch from any release to 1.3.
-If you want to use the POWER button to wake from unlock:
POWER unlock.
-If you want to use the MENU button to wake from unlock:
MENU unlock.
Changelog
[*]1.4 NewsReader fix
[*]1.3 Reboot menu
[*]1.2 Undervolting
[*]1.1 Initial (public) release
[*]1.0 Internal testing
---
DONATE here. This will support both my ROM development, as well as hacking efforts for S-OFF.
This looks very nice! Ill flash it tomorrow..... I dont suppose there's any chance of getting an option for the vanilla lockscreen? That will be the only thing ill miss from pinky desire?

rebuilding all apk in /system is not good idea. if some app have upgrade version in market, users can not upgrade it with this ROM.
and HTC offical widgets on internet can not be installed in this ROM.
so, some core app need be resign(framework-res.apk, DefaultContainerService.apk, Phone.apk, ... and so on), and other apps can not be resign(Rosie.apk, HTC_IME, ..., and so on).
but this is a Great ROM!
waiting for your the greatest S-OFF releaes,too !
Hi ieftm, my Desire have HBOOT 0.75 and Amoled .
I saw your HBOOT is 0.83 so it is SLCD
can your rom working on my device ???

I didn't rebuild all of the apk's. I did rebuild the APK's that were modded, like the framework apk's. Those will never be upgraded in the Market.

Not bad so far... Two things though, the time wont change even though it is correct in settings (Shows my time zone without daylight savings so is one hour behind). As well as this, is it possible to have it as both trackpad and power button to wake in the next update?

That's easy to do by modifying /system/usr/keylayout/bravo-keypad.kl.

That means that /system is writable because of an overlay filesystem. All your changes to /system will get written to /data/sysrw. Those will disappear when you wipe. An example would be, using metamorph to apply themes or such.
Also, 1.3 is up for the reboot menu, added to the normal powermenu in Sense.
Flashed 1.2 yesterday.
Looks great, but you know what....
I just keep pushing the powerbutton to unlock
Is there any way to get this back? Should i change something before flashing?
Nevermind...im gonna get used to using the OJ.

That's the bootlogo. It's the dexing process that probably takes a while. Wait for it. If it doesn't go away after a long time, please provide me with an 'adb logcat' output (put it on pastie.org for example).
Your rom sounds awesome! Only thing, can I flash a different circle battery mod?

[ROM] Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.5 {DK28} (12/9)

Update: major system changes in upcoming 2.2.6 release, I have worked out the gps lag and voice call issue and figured out why I wasn't having these problems. If you are interested in testing 2.2.6 b4 I release this to everyone let me know. The only thing I ask for in return is feedback... GPS lag fixed, and I believe the call issue is fixed.
Here it is ! ! ! (Superman 2.2.5 DK28)
I DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING OVER OTHER ROMS ! ! !
Um... One thing you have to go in and set the ringtone...
Americano is a clip from the superman theme song.
if you don't go in and set a tone it will remain silent...
Recomended procedure to install:
1. Odin back to factory.
2. Reroot your phone.
3. Clockwork this ROM
4. Odin the DK28 modem
That is exactly what I did and everything is working perfect so far...
Recomended procedure to upgrade from 2.2.3:
1. Wipe dalvik, cache, and data 3 times.
3. Clockwork Superman 2.2.4 rom
4. Odin the DK28 modem (only if having gps problems)
Download: Odin, pit & modem {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.5 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.4 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.3 {DK28}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.2 {DK17}
Download: Superheroes "Superman" 2.2.1 {DK17}
Warning: GPS will not work while ADB is on and plugged into computer...

AOSP Lockscreen (Confirmed Working)
I downloaded this and installed and I can confirm it works. No issues with power options like some other roms.
Enjoy!
I like this style, looks nice! Will try to flash after I get root and CWM back on DK28 stock.
Workin, workin, workin... Lol. I passed out on the couch working on this rom and my dream gave me a few ideas. This might take a day or two... So, if I don't post an update for a day or so, don't get your panties in a bunch just know that I am working hard... Well that or sleeping and thinking up new ideas...

I suggest odin back to stock as it is what I have done and know will work, but if your going to flash this rom over what you already got on there I would at least flash the modem after you have installed this rom, I flashed the modem before I installed the rom and was having issues with the gps so I flashed the modem again after and it's all good now...
ok thanks man...The ROM looks great BTW.

[MOD] 4-in-1 Reboot Mod - Updated for 4.67/4.54/4.53/4.24 OTA Based Roms - 2/12/12

Greetings Everyone,
This is my first mod posting. This is a ported reboot mod for the new 4.24 OTA based roms. I took this opportunity to be able to learn some new things and port it on my own. Thank you to all those who helped. Originally I had this as a 3 in 1, but with the option of enabling and disabling fast boot, its best just to leave all four options available for the user to choose. Thanks chamala2000 for catching that distinction. Updated to be a 4 in 1 reboot mod. The 4.53 mod for the 4.54 ota based roms. And now a revised 4.67 ota based rom.
Special thanks to snq who developed the first reboot mod.
Thanks to aamikam for porting the first reboot mod.
For those of you who want not only the 4 in 1 Reboot Mod, but would also like more power menu options, please visit this link: Advanced Power Menu
Files:
OTA 4.24: 4-In-1-Reboot-Menu-4.24_signed.zip
OTA 4.53: 4-In-1-Reboot-Menu-4.53_signed.zip
OTA 4.54: 4-In-1-Reboot-Menu-4.53_signed.zip
OTA 4.67: 4-In-1-Reboot-Menu-4.67_signed.zip
Diff File: 4in1-467-Diff.txt
What you need for this to work:
A Rom based off of one of the applicable OTAs
A DeOdexed Rom
Busybox Installed
Please check with your rom's developer to see if he/she has made any modifications to the android.policy.jar ... if they haven't or you are using the standard DeOdexed rom from Haus or Rom Manager you should be good to flash.

Updated to 4 in 1 reboot mod. (Replaced the 3 in 1 reboot mod.)
Updated zip to edify script and signed it, so no need to toggle signatures off anymore
7-21-11 Fixed updater script.
9-17-11 Updated for 4.53 OTA.
2-12-12 Updated for 4.67 OTA and added diff files.
awesome bro. thanks for this!
I will be updating this tonight to swap out the reboot for hot restart... Reason being us I had it backwards, restart on the main power menu is like a reboot..
Thanks chamala2000 for catching that mistake

That was something I wanted to try, though since that modifies several files, some used in theming, it would need to be ported to each custom rom, and not a blanket update like this one was.

Unless it was in the Rom thread somewhere in the 70 some pages i didn't see it. I don't have it in my menu, i use the Quickboot widget or the root manager widget to hot restart or recovery.
I'll download synergy this weekend to confirm and see if I can make a zip for that rom
Edit, I checked with some synergy users and they said if you hold down power, select restart, then the menu pops up, hope this helps

I got a 10 spot if you port it using freshh 4.2 as a base.
what you could do is port it, then offer it to each rom dev to incorporate within their rom so it wont adjust that roms theming.
Works great, cooked it right into my ROM.

***Everyone please fill out this form about the ROM. It will allow me see what you guys think of the ROM and what features are most important for the next update. This is very important as it will serve as hypothetical to-do list for the ongoing development of the ROM***

CHANGELOG
Version 2.0 Beta 1 Full ROM
This ROM is based on Rogers UXKJ7 and will work for both Rogers and AT&T. This is considered beta because I'm not completely done with everything. I have gotten people to test on both Rogers and AT&T and works good to my current knowledge. It has ICS look thanks to Quas, Vertimus, jivy26, and others. Check out jivy26 thread for SGS2 ICS theme. More info to come tomorrow.[/B]
Version 2.1 Full ROM - COMING SOON
This ROM will be updated from RWCJK7 2.3.6 base. Will have customizable status bar toggles that you guys asked for, customizable SMS app, generic SGS2 shutdown animation, and more.. Stayed tuned my friends. Skipping from 2.0 to 2.1 since the base has changed and this is stable to be non-beta ROM. Thanks everyone for all suggestions and feedback, they really help me in ironing out this ROM.

Thanks for this! The ADT rom I used from Melvin wasn't stable in the slightest and caused constant app close scenarios. This one is running flawlessly!

Down with CIQ!
OP, good to see more jumping in on dev work here. If you'd like a direct-link mirror (best to make it primary, waiting sucks) on k0nane.info, let me know. I'd be happy to host.
Users, have you fed your devs today?
Nice clean start. What are your thoughts on a kernel? OC/UV?

[ROM] Galnet MIUI ICS 4.0.1 *2.11.26* Updated *11/26/11*

Here is the latest MIUI ICS 4.0.1 from Galnet.
As stated in my previous MIUI Thread:
THIS ROM IS A BETA BUILD!!!(I will remove "BETA" when everything is working, Bluetooth, HDMI, etc..)
DO NOT PM ME OR JORDAN ABOUT ISSUES! I simply PORT what GALNET releases. YOU are the testers for this ROM. If you have issues just hope that the next release fixes them. If you know how to fix any of the issues feel free to let me know, and i will upload the fixed version.
IF THIS THREAD ENDS UP LIKE THE LAST MIUI IT WILL BE CLOSED
Rom Installation: (If you are just upgrading to the next release, skip.steps 3&4, if you are coming from a non miui rom I suggest following all of the steps.)
1. Place MIUI.zip on internal SD card
2. Reboot into CWM
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Flash MIUI.zip
If your phone doesn't boot:
1. Pull battery and put back in
2. Hold volume up, volume down, and power button
3. let go of power button as soon as you see samsung text
4. wait til blue cwm shows
5. Flash MIUI-Infuse-1.*.*.zip again
6. Enjoy!!
If you are on a previous MIUI build. (non Galnet) simply flash without wiping anything.
No need for the APN Fix thanks to bigafu Thanks buddy
RECOVERY FIX:

1: Download sgs kernel flasher
2: Download CWM community kernel
3: Flash kernel via sgs kernel flasher "unchecked the reboot button" when done flashing turn phone of "SHUTDOWN"
4: 3 finger until the Samsung logo pops up keep holding the buttons the screen will go black then Samsung logo will come up, let go of the power button and keep hold the volume up and down buttons "For about 20 seconds" then let go it should boot into Red CWM after a few seconds.
5: Go to install zip from SD card go all the way down and run update.zip it will boot back into RED CWM run update.zip again and it should now boot into GREEN CWM
6: From here Re-Flash MIUI "New Release would be smart", Wipe Fact,Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik, Flash, reboot at sign of Samsung logo pull battery, 3 finger into blue recovery and flash again.
7: Presto you should be set and have recovery back.

Wait so is it truly android 4? Or no? If it is I'm jumpin ship from cm7 lol.
me too lol
Few quick questions:
1. Is this compatible with other radios? Is stock suggested?
2. Does this come with the stock ICS google apps?
3. Would flashing adrenaline.v13 work with the ICS build?
4. Is this voodoo enabled?

Fellas im going to bed. Find out any issues and i will do my best to try and fix them tomorrow. From the video i watched it seems that the status bar benu didnt change like it does on the i9000 and a few other small things, have to do some digging tomorrow.
Flashed and running great.
Any idea if any of the future ICS features will require a full kernel swap? Things like GPU acceleration and the like. Or will just having the framework already set up be enough?
Its nice...quick...I just can't tell any difference between this one or the gb version ....except it says 4.0.1 in about phone...works good tho...clean...thanks bro
