ICS Has Been Ported To The Nexus S - Android General

Like the title says. That is great news. At least it gives us some sort of hope for an early port. Thanks to Engadget for the news. The article can be found there.

S talk ( siri style ) SGS3 for Gnote

Just curious if someone is willing or will port the S voice that is out now on the SGS 3 to the Gnote.. because the built in one that comes with the Gnote does not work the way that the new version that is on the Galaxy S3 . and since its the same hardware. i think it should be able to be ported.
No worries, this will most likely be ported to whatever build of ICS you will choose in the future, or a stand-alone CWM install.
I just hope it is soon

Is there a possibillity that the ICS update for the Note will include it or we will have to wait for it separately?

It's better than waiting on ATT. Designgears has done a lot for our ICS development by providing these leaks.

Have official CM9, the official modem (rogers) and smartass kernel. So there's nothing att could provide that i'd want. I'm done beta testing for att.
There is already one thread about this no need for 2. Locked
Cheers

Congratulations Skyrocketeer's!

True. We'll wait till we see a Samsung mobile version, even know the tablet and phone supposed to be utilizing the same software configuration, we'll see a better product once the SIII or similar receives it.

ok so does anyone have any official opinions on the official ics, I would only assume that the leaks and modded roms are still significantly better
I like it, but the only thing that bothered me was the stock Swype was popping up and down as i typed. It really isn't that different from the non stock ones, it has a reboot function, expandable status bar,(not everything that i wanted) and it is smooth. No real need to try others, just root and delete and add what you want. And freeze Swype, and install the new beta.

Miui?

Now that we have an unlocked boot loader is there any plans for mini on this phone?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
If u go to the miui.us website there was one person working on a port from when we had locked boot loader but it seems to be dead as of this point.....
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
i hate to say this, but in my opinion miui hasn't really performed well since the move from gb to ics
aside from my negativity, probably gonna be a simple port after its released on any other version of the sgs3
It's already available on the international version. A Google or you tube search will verify this.

As much as I realize that it must be extremely annoying to ask people to do this for us, I humbly request that someone with much more functional understanding of Linux than myself. Could anyone please create a flash version of this for our phone?

If you're asking about the AOKP lockscreen, its a "nightly". Its in Hilbe's builds over on that other forum that may or may not be P.C. to talk about on here (I know it wasn't for a while, anyway...). Google "Hilbe AOKP" and its the first result. As of yesterday it was only in the build from the "test" folder in his downloads. Link is in the OP. I'm pretty sure its in the "unstable" build now, too. These builds work fine, if test/unstable makes you nervous.
talk about a misleading thread title.
Yeah I'm already using this with AOKP. It's pretty neat.

Saturday or Sunday ill try to do an AOKP build with it integrated. However, I am really busy so if someone wants to take a stab at it please do.

Nope, I had to look on Google for the "Hilbe AOKP" test build from 10/31. Probably in a newer, more stable build by now. Check it out! Plenty stable too - no worries.
