Hi
I've searched through various forums, but couldn't find an answer.
Is there a chance (in the near future) to use a DVB-T
USB Tuner with a honeycomb "powered" android device like the eee pad transformer?
Meaning does anybody know whether someone tried to program drivers for such devices for android 3.x?
I know there is a solution for Gen8 Archos devices with various USB Tv-tuners, but I couldn't find something similar for the eee pad.
Please excuse my bad English
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
I'm in need of an android tablet that supports a USB audio in device. Has anyone tried this at all? If so what would be a good tablet to go for?
I've been looking at the archos 101 G9 but it hasn't quite been released yet and I need one now, which is a shame.
Any other suggestions?
Is there anything I need to bear in mind?
Also has anyone written code to interface with a USB audio in device? Is it possible to use the "AudioRecorder" class with a different device number perhaps? Or does it need to be done some other way?
Thank in advance!
Hi,
as i know Archos-G9 allready in the market.
NookColor works also with USB-AUDIO.
USB audio works on my Allwinner A10 tablet witn "Unofficial CyanogenMod 9 for many AllWinner A10 tablets" firmware from Christian Troy
Never heard that before but im sure Galaxy tab 10.1 will do it
It will work
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
I'll check my Iconia A500 when I get home to see if it does.

1 - I do; that's a flame war here, read the various threads and deside for yourself.
2 - Look at the threads for 3G dongle. I suggest Roach's Prime ROM.
3 - AFAIK USB sticks and externals should work but I have none to try. File system support could vary by kernel.
4 - ???
5 - Google it and search this forum.

There have been some issues reported here but I think mostly ealier builds; mine drained at about 10%/hour yesterday with prolonged typing and has been drained to 2% on several occasions. Works for me, although I've heard it's not good to drain all the way for overall battery life, so I rarly do.

i was wondering if the tf700t's screen would be compatible with our tf300t tablet... well, i saw some videos about the 2 different screens and i didn't notice any difference between the 2 except the resolution. but probably the problems will come in the software, but i think that it would be fixable...
what you guys think about this? let me know...:good:
I am hoping to use my Note 8 for part of my work which is to manage our campus wifi network. Not to worry I get the networking stuff and then some, my question is has anyone managed to setup an ethernet dongle with their Note 8?
I exepct if it does work I need to root, happy to make that happen as I need to add a custom HOSTS file anyway. I just expect there may be some Android massaging needed that I can mange as well with a few hints here and there of course.
For now I was just hoping someone had tried it before I buy this dongle:

Of course I know it will work with my Asus Infinity so I guess it's safe but I don't want to drag my Infinity into the crawlspaces thanks to this horrid but cool brushed aluminum case. Plus the beastie is bigger and thus has a more fragile screen. On the plus side for the Infinity is it has a full size USB port in the dock so no micro to standard USB adapter needed.

I've only tried the Ethernet dongle from the first generation ASUS Zenbook - doesn't work on stock. But does work on a stock Transformer Prime.
With root it would be possible to load custom compiled kernel modules, or it used to be possible on older devices.

Thanks for the tip about the Zenbook's dongle. I did not think about switching kernals. Sure that might be the best bet in the longer term. Thanks for the suggestion.
