How transfer N95 SMS & Calendar in backup.nbu to LG3D? - LG Optimus 3D

I had a backup files .nbu which I had from my old Nokia N95. Now I had switch to LG3D.
How can I restore/copy the sms & calendar from that backup files to LG3D? I manage to extract the sms content using NBUexplorer into .vmg files and calendar into .vcs files.
Now how can I continue?

Dear cyclonmaster,
Copy .vmg and .vcs files to LG3D and then install "File Manager(Explorer) Lite" from market and click to files then phone should begin importing the data from this files... I always import from .vcf files by this way but i am not sure for .vmg and .vcs though... You should give it a try... Hope this helps...
Kind Regards,

Copying contacts from phone to PC?

Hello!
I have a little problem, I can't access my contacts on my phone, neither can I sync them over to my PC.
Is there any other way I can copy my contacts from my phone to my PC?
Are the contacts located in an easy-to-read file, and where is it located?
Hope you can help!

Yes. Thunderbird Export will export your contacts to a .csv to import them into any of your other apps/TBExport(via some freeware site)

hel please pimbackup

i have a backupfile of pimbackup, can i open it from windows?i must recover some phone numers but my wm pda is broken!!!
change the extension of the backup file to zip, Extract with winrar and you'll find a file called contacts_date.pbc, use notepad or excel to open this file and you will be able to see your contacts.
I prefer excel cause you will have a lot of strange looking characters to deal with...
Easier alternative, if you have the windows mobile emulator installed on your PC, just do a restore from PIM backup and you can see all your contacts...

[Q] spb backup problem

my phone has been destroyed .
how can I return my contact from spb backyp file to windows pc.
Use the SPB PC app to open & view backup file contents & then go to PIM section open contacts & save them to a CSV file that can be used to import them across various softwares & platforms.
You can also load pim from the backup into Windows Mobile device emulator to view PIM & save it via varying PPC softwares you prefer for future restore to PC/PPC or other platform mobiles.

PM me the file & I will convert it to a CSV contact file you can easily use on PC, PPC, most mobiles ect.
Although if backup file is from SPB you should be able to view & export contacts with PC software in link in previous post.
Hi.. I have the same problem.. My Galaxy s phone is broken and replaced by the store and they offered me an LG optimus x2 instead.

Moving SMS from windows mobile to android

Hi - i know this question has been asked many times but I was not able to find the correct one - so is there free and working way to backup my sms messages from winmo and transfer them to android ?
I don't know if there's a program for this in winmo, but SMS Backup+ backups your SMSs to your gmail account so maybe you can find a winmo program which does the same
Sent from my GT-I5700 using XDA App

You're right, I didn't know. I used it a few months ago.
I have no other solution. I remember I had spent much time searching how to transfer everything and had only found that solution for SMS.
Maybe there's a way if you can export your SMS to your SIM card then import them?
Use PIM Backup to backup
Do not 'compress' and do not 'binary backup' the file.
Rename the PIMBackup_xxxxxxxx.phb to *.zip
Unpack this *.zip
Rename any *.* to *.txt to view its content and start processing cq converting it device specific further on your road *cough* success,

HI,
can you please explain in details "start processing cq converting it device specific" how to do it.
I have tried Mobiledit Phone Copier and successfully transferred all SMS from my WinMob 6.5 to Android ICS. but all SMS is showing only RECEIVED DATE but unable to show RECEIVED TIME....I have more that 16000 SMS since year 2009. All are very important to me....Kindly suggest if anyone have any solution for my query...:crying:

[Q] where is the SMS data file stored ?

excuse my noob idea
i need the exact location of SMS data file
does anyone know ?
if we can use "Advanced Explorer" tool to browse/export/import WP7 files
then why we can't export SMS file and import it to other devices or same device (after hard reset) ?
i managed to export
.\Applications\Install\1A0EE8C2-xxxxxxxxx\Install\
from my hd7 to my pc and i found all htc app's files and dll's
then i thought maybe i can backup SMS file in the same way
i tried to export all the files to my pc so i can search all the files from my pc
but there is some issue with advanced explorer i can only export small files
maybe it is more complicated than i think
does anyone have any idea ?
all what i need is :
-export sms folder to my pc
-flash my hd7
-import sns folder without modifying any file
does it work like that or not ?
sorry for my long post and thanks in advance
