What are you on about? Just use odin to reflash to stock. You don't need the SD card for that.

Sd card issue!

Hi I'm having trouble getting my phone to read the sd card. When I put it in it says safe to remove sd but apart from that the phone doesnt even register that the card is in? I have had the sd card in my laptop for a while but formatted it first. I have a friend and its the same for his android but the 2gb he got with his phone works fine. Is there some sort of file structure that has to be on the sd for the phone to pick it up? Really need help thanks.
CM7 BTW

Ok thanks for the reply. Also read that formatting in recovery mode could work? That was for a diff phone though with the same problem

Sd card?

So my 16g sd card suddenly stopped working one day. It won't let me write anything to it or delete anything.
I tried on my computer to format it, but it doesn't work. I know it's not my phone cause my other sd works just fine.
Any ways if someone could help me find a fix for the stupid sd card that would be awesome. I this 8g isn't big enough please help.

Have you tried formatting it from your phone? Sometimes, formatting it on your computer doesn't work. If formatting it from your phone does not work, you may have a bad sd card. :/
Good luck!

Yes, try downloading a bootable gparted image, burn it on cd or set it up on an sdcard, and try to format it with that.
Maybe it will work with that, else you have to return it to the shop if it still has warranty.

SD card problem

Hi
I have a verbatim 8GB sd card that got into RAW after a bad shutdown of my xperia x8(I think)
well i managed to get it back working to fat32 but now my phone does't recognize it, only the pc sees it so is there any solution to fix this?(NOTE: other cards are recognized so it isn't my phone's fault)

Edit: this is just to rule out other possibilities, other than the card not mounting...

[Q] SD card dead

I wanted to use swap over the sd-card partition. And i used MiniTool partition program.I followed something wrongly.I deleted the partition. Now the sdcard wont be recognised either on the PC or the phone.I would really apreciate help because it is a 16 gb sd class 10 card.i payed a lot for it,so i dont want to have 25$ in trash.:crying:
Boot into recovery and use the options there to partition & format your SD card from your phone.
And if you paid $50 for 16GB card, you got ripped off.

Yeah your SD card has to be Fat32 so you didn't say the name for the ROM so im guessing your on a CM but anyways use this program then format to Fat32 then it should be there Or if that doesn't work then format it .

Yes. You can copy the files over to another computer, format the card in the phone, and then transfer the files back however. Of course those write speeds can be pretty slow, so expect it to take a while if you have a lot of information stored on the card.
OK well I am not sure how to change my SD card Ro Fat32.. And I went to settings to format it and it does nothing. Right now I'm on stock ROM. The content of the SD card comes up like pics and all but when I go into recovery it doesn't let me change over to the card to save or restore... Any ideas?
