Advanced Downloader - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hello XDA!
Is there an advanced downloader that anyone might b using? It would be nice to have a more advanced download folder with options to delete all, retry all failed, move to folder and so on...
Does anyone know of such an app?
Thank you!

Bump. I also want to know.

Another shot at this: any updates on an advanced downloader?

Honestly I just use Root Explorer. It's not too difficult to find where various applications are saving things, and RE can do literally anything. It's not the most intuitive way to manage downloads, but I don't mind.

2.2 Desktop view in browser

Has anyone figured out how to stop the browser from automaticly switching to modile sitez?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
hopefully someone will correct me on this, but it is my understanding that whether or not you get a mobile site is not dependent on your browser, but rather some of the information that is given to the website when you contact it for content.
Here's to dreaming about hulu on my captivate while I work out... *swooon*
Just use skyfire it has the ability to make sites think that your using a desktop browser

I know but I like the standard browser and on 2.1 you could change it. Thx

On every other android phone you can enter about:debug in the browser & it will give you more settings like ua string where you have the option to choose between android, iphone & desktop but on the captivate this bricks the browser & you have to do a factory data reset to get the browser working agin or use an alternative from the market to go online agin! (SO DON'T TRY IT!!!) Someone should really try & fix this! I actually like the stock browser other than this. Now im using dolphin because of this but its not as fast as stock.

I Have Four App Suggestions For Any Developers Willing To Take On Any Of The Projects!!
{Suggestion #1}.... Is A App That Can Be Run To Fix Parse Issues Sometimes Associated With Installation Of Apps, And If It Can Fix The Parse Issue, Specify Why!
{Suggestion #2}.... Is A App That Basically Asks Where On The SDCard (Or If Possible, Even Desktop) You Would Like The Current App To Be Installed, Similar To A Desktop Computer, Which Gives The Option To Choose Exact Folder/Desktop Location!!
{Suggestion #3}.... Might Be Reaching On This One, Lol!! But....
It's A Request For A App That That Makes Apps, It Would Basically Have "SIMPLE" Hooked On Phonix Options, For How Or What The User Would Like To Create!! Like I Said Probably Reaching Huh? Lol!!
& Finally Probably The One I'm Hoping For The Most....
{Suggestion #4}.... This Suggestion Is For More Options In The XDA App It Self, Such As.... The Ability To Bookmark Forum Page, Directly Return To The Last Page ( After Closing App), Upload Apps/Scripts Directly From Phone ( Instead of Home Computer), Edit Profile (Pictures), & Also Fried Request!!
Hopefully Someone Will Like At Least One Of These Ideas And Try To Bring It To Life...
Also.... I'd Like To Give A Quick Thanx To All The Developers!!

I'm not a developer, but in response to number 4. The XDA app is actually built off another app named Tapatalk Pro. The folks at Tapatalk Pro made this app special for us XDA users.
If you want a feature added, I would suggest contacting them. Best of luck on the rest!

Maybe reaching a bit if you want to create apps on your phone. Google has a tool called App Inventor that will help you create apps in a web browser on your computer:
http://appinventor.googlelabs.com/about/
What you are looking for is often called Rapid Application Development, or RAD. Searching for Android RAD doesn't help much, but it does show that there are other people looking for Android RAD.

Can I load my game after rooting?

Well I think it can by copying the game file or something else... but I didn't manage to find the folder where the apps installed. (The game use internal memory and can't be moved to external)
If anyone wants to check the game, its caligo chaser, which is a paid game, so use the cracked one...
Sory for this kinda dumb question... I have search it by myself and no hint

you can re-install any app after you have completed the root process. rooting your phone really just means to gain root access thus allowing you to do things not normally possible. it wouldn't interfere with installing a app or anything like that.
i would suggest appmonster or appmonster pro because it will make a backup of every apk (app file) you install. also i wouldn't suggest you tell people on this site to use the hacked version because XDA has a very strict policy against warez.
Oh ok thx for the suggest and the advice
I think it's wise to make the reader understood 'bout the problem i'm facing by providing the step2step way until the condition same like i am now :\
By the way ok then. I'll be sure tp thx you and delete this post as soon as I open my computer

Using root explorer to manually hack games files for in game currency.

This is my first post in the forums and im not sure whether this is in the right place or not so bare with me. I tried searching this topic all over and cant find it anywhere. Can this be done? Is there certain files where the in game currency is located where you can manually hack it? I know it can be done on the iphone because iv done it before. Just not sure if it is possible with the android. Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you

Generally you need to go on the shared preferences of the application you are trying to hack and just go through the files till you find the currency

CANNOT OPEN FILE error message

My college daughter just got herself a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. She has Office Suite installed.
When she downloads a .doc file and taps on it to open, she gets the error above (CANNOT OPEN FILE). If she opens OfficeSuite and select this file it opens without a problem. It does not happen with .pdf files for example.
Any idea what it might be and how to fix this?
Thanks.
I dont use that software but, my guess would be go into settings, manage apps, then look for office suite program. Click on clear defaults. Now when she clicks on a .doc it should ask her what app she would like to use to open it.

I tried that, it didn't help. It's not even getting to a point where she is asked to select an app to open the file, it just says CANNOT OPEN FILE and it says that about any .doc file.
Im at a loss, you could try google quick office. It is supposed to be quite good. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck.

Thanks. As I said, we don't even get to the option of selecting which app to use, it just point blank tells us "cannot open".
