Vibrate on Connect

So i've had my captivate fora while now coming from an HTC Fuze. the fuze had a vibrate on connect feature which would have a very soft vibrate when an outgoing phone call would connect. I was wondering if anyone has such a feature on the captivate. I felt it was very useful not having to hear a ringtone and not having to hold the phone up to my ear until someone on the other end picked up.
It in the Froyo at least...
Settings -> Call settings -> All calls -> Outgoing call vibration (check it)
But i am on i9000 rom, so maybe you will have no such option...
i am on running stock AT&t 2.1 i was looking for more of a quick fix such as an app to download or the likes

[Q] What happened to call waiting options

When i was on a call and another call was coming through i used to have an option on the answer screen to answer call or "end current call and answer". My question is if this feature is missing in gb or if its just missing in Eb 2.4?
Thanks

alert/buzz when someone you dial picks up?

i was using CM7 on my LG thrill and they have a neat feature that when the other end of a phone call picks up, the phone will vibrate letting you know so you don't have to put the phone to your ear when it's just ringing the other party's phone. Is there a way to get this feature in my stock rom?
That's a feature of cm7 and any of the cm7 based roms for the skyrocket have it. As for the stock rom, it does have an audible tone when the call connects, but no idea how to change it to a buzz.
I found the option in settings > Call > Call alert
- theDXT
DXT ftw. Yup.
awesome! Thanks!
So I found out that 'Call Alert' option is for something different, it alerts me when the other side starts ringing - Not when the other side has picked up. Anyone other ideas how I can implement the CM7 buzz on pick up?
I have had it activated on mine since this thread and it works for me, though it's not very noticeable.

Is it possible to increase ringtone length?

I know that the ringtone and sms tones have to be about 30secs in length otherwise it wont play your tone that you set if its too long. Is their a way to extend it or get an app that lets you extend it? Just that some tones I have it chops of the last remaining parts of the chorus or something like that
If it's a full MP3, it'll play until your carrier send it to Voicemail.

The standard among all carriers worldwide is 4 "standard rings" - and then the call is redirected to VM or forwarded to the # you set for CF. Many carriers allow for adjusting the amount of time before the call is transferred, but probably most of North American carriers don't since we have the lousiest GSM service in the world. Normally it is done with use of standard GSM codes, example: Cingular VM but call your carrier first and ask is it possible on their network.
If you don't have VM (or CF) then you may use longer ringtones on your phone and it won't be cut after first few "rings", but don't go for some few minutes long songs set as ringtone, because it still will be cut after certain amount of "rings". Your carrier's network will stop "ringing" you - sending incoming call notification to your handset - after at most 12-20 "rings" (depending on carrier's network settings).
I agree with MT4GS. I think my father had the option of picking how many rings it takes to get to voicemail when he was configuring his voicemail for the first time on Sprint.
But the ring time is definitely carrier specific. Your ringtone can be as long as you like, but if it takes only 30 seconds or so to get to voicemail, maybe consider chopping the mp3 down to size. Pick the part of the song that you want to hear
WARNING: setting your favorite song as your ringtone will almost certainly drive you to hate it after the first week.
Wow I didnt even know I had voicemail enabled or call diversion enabled. I checked my carrier they were both active so I switched them off, but I tested it and called myself it rings for 30secs then get the stupid message saying Im not available and the call ends. It wont keep ringing. Guess I cant change that part hahaha oh well chop the tones to 30secs I guess it is. Too bad sometimes Im away from my phone and miss it by the time I hear it in other parts of the office or house
Max ring time is 30 seconds before the call gets forwarded to voicemail. You can change the ring time via dial codes..

[Q] Call Waiting won't show on the dialer

I noticed that in the stock dialer n4/n5 it won't show if the phone is actually ringing or I'm on the other persons call waiting list.
This is there on CM and other OEMs.
Is there a way to enable this on the n5?
