Howdy.. Im working on my rom, and want to theme it out... Can anybody with experience give me a quick review of themeing

All thmeming is editing files in the framework-res.apk. Part of it is editing pictures and the other half is editing XML files. Maybe more, but that's all I know.

Just saw the wp7 theme for the Fascinate, and it looks pretty awesome. It looks like it would be a pretty in depth theme.... but I don't know much about it. It would be awesome if someone could port it for us!

This is a sfc theme. Just follow dfgas instructions for deleting the file out of it in the sfc thread. You can likely even do this straight from your phone with root explorer. There really shouldn't be any porting to do.

I flashed this deleting the framework jar file. Everything works except the launcher isn't windows. Maybe I'm missing something.....just wanted to test it out.

The launcher isn't in the theme you'll have get it from the market.

Hey, right now I am looking for the Default wallpaper for the G2x.
I did my best to search for it using the app astro but I have had no luck so far.
Curious to know if anyone here knows of its location or actually has the image.

Just so you know it was located in framework-res.apk in the res/drawable/ folder.
Well here it is ver.2 of my theme. Fixed some issues with black on black text and volume bar.
Themed popup windows
Themed volume and download bars
Themed notifications pulldown
Installation: place file on your sdcard and flash through cwm or unzip file and push systemui.apk to system/app and frameworkres.apk to system/framework then reboot. And Enjoy

For froyo u upload the framworkres.apk and the TWframework.apk.

im gonna cook it one more time tomorrow to fix a few things. I would like to do as much as possible I just need someone to fix the menu in the first pick, it still looks like gb. Thank you. If you would like you can edit and post however I just want it to have that God of war look.

what do you mean it still looks like GB. If you are talking about the pulldownl quick panel menu, I will edit it and send you one that looks more, like your theme.

yeah, that menu is part of the /system/app/systemui.apk
As long as the computer I use will play nice with my phones internet I will have a fixed version up today. Wish me luck.

Hello everyone. I am using Trigger ROM and have taken screen shots using the power menu option. And when I try to upload to xda it tells me its not s supported format. Even though it is a png. What gives?

Myphotosconverter is the only one I've been able to find. It doesn't have the most intuitive UI but it gets the job done.
Is the a way to change the icon of a app just using my infuse. I read how to do it on a computer kinda sounds like a pain.
I'm in the process of ripping apks I like form different roms that people have customized. I have everything ics blue and this apk I like has a red icon.
Is there a easy way to swap one icon from a apk to another? I guess if it comes down to it I can fire up the computer and do some extracting and editing. Is there a easy way to do that then. Im not exactly a noob so lay it on thick lol!

Open app with root explorer....go to res/drawable-hdpi and find your icon....replace with yours

Make sure you rename the new icon to the same name as the old one. It's not hard to do on the computer. I use 7zip to replace them.

depending on what launcher you use, you may not have to do any drastic apk decompiling.
no de/recompile needed. just need an archive type program that can write into a compressed file. root explorer can do this.
recompiling is only needed for .9.PNG files in the theme.
also you can use 3rd party launchers.
I used root explorer when I pasted it in thar folder in ended up sending me 2 the folder the apk is in
