Hello -
I have a Captivate 2.2 Froyo and I rooted it and then I rebooted but now it gets stuck at Galaxy S screen. It still glows, and vibrates at random times. Recovery mode still works. Any tips?

Frozen on the startup screen? You can Odin to stock. Go to the Bible and look at the noobs guide to Odin

Exactly..using hellraiser you can use any JVQ and maybe JVR i9000 rom ...including the gs2 ports.
remember to donate to LinuxBozo and our other great Devs here

hey,
I just flashed hawkish and now I'm in a samsung logo screen boot loop.
I went to red cwm,
I did factory data/wipe reset three times,
flashed hellraiser immediately,
and rebooted... what did I do wrong?

Sorry, I didn't go into detail. I had to flash back to stock first. Then I flashed the Community kernel, did a full wipe , flashed Hawkish and Hellraiser immediately after.

hey i tried using the heimdall .. it went thru the whole process.. then when it said rebooting phone ... it disconnect.. it just hangs on the sidekick 4g tmobile screen . and so i thought it failed, so i flashed the bootloader... it went thru the same thing.. now when i goto download mode theres a grey box... and odin cannot detect it ... help!
Reinstall the drivers with the phone plugged in while in download mode. Same thing happened to me

Try these drivers...leave the phone in download mode while installing them . If it asks u to overwrite due to u having them already just say yes....and once it finishes installing...unplug phone and plug back in while in download mode . In order for it to try to read the phone in download mode

those drivers worked got odin to recognize my phone but now everytime i try to odin it fails on the factoryfs.
Check all the check marks on Odin on the left side

Ok here it is in a nutshell. Somehow my nephew has flashed a vibrant kernal onto a 4G and now it is all freaked out. And suggestions on how to flash it back to a 4g? I have never seen this happen before so Ia m unsure what to do here. Basically when you power it up it has a boot screen that say SAmsung Vibrant and then reboots. I can get it into Download mode but I am unsure how to proceed from there. Thanks in advance for any help.

Look for the gremlin remover in the dev thread and download that. Once its downloaded open up the program put your phone into download mode and run it

So I am trying to go back to stock using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1856532&highlight=root Every time I get back to stock the counter is at 1. Any suggestions? Please help as I may have to return the unit.

Ok finally worked out a fix. I used one of the p5113 images from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704668 booted into the download menu and used odin to push it onto my tab. Rebooted and no more Custom. It now says official every place I look.
