Hi all, i just got a nexus S 4g with poor reception and wifi where as my previous phone (optimus S) would get great reception in the same spot. I'm aware sprint pushed an update this july that addressed these issues (GRJ90) but my phone is on the lastest GWK74. any clues?

i'm willing to root and install another rom if it'll fix this issue.
thanks for any info!
maybe its a rom issue... root your phone and try cm7 stable 7.0.3 for ns 4g.. or try searching for a better radio that u can flash in your 4g..

Hi all. First post so please be gentle. I have bought myself an Optus GT-I9000 and am using it on the Telstra network. I am currently working on an island that only has WCDMA 850mhz signal. I believe i had no issue back in perth till i upgraded to Froyo. I can speculate but I don't want to waste your time. In my efforts to fix this as I need my phone to tether and to also call home I have upgraded from stock Froyo to Darky's v8.1 in the hope it would somehow restore signal. Unfortunately... with no luck. I have been reading up on what I need in the way of a modem file/firmware/whatever. I would really appreciate some help as I am at a loss and the comms guy is taking the piss for spending so much time researching why this has happened. Thanks in advance.
and i forgot the most important details lol...

I'm not sure if I can help but after I flashed my i9000 to Darky's ROM, I lost my 3G. I managed to locate the original modem driver and reflashed the modem driver only. It worked for me. Good luck.
Hi all,
I got a Nexus S a few days ago. It was an original rogers phone that was working on ATT in the US for the last month.
The phone is rooted. But it is not working properly on Rogers (Apparently it worked fine on ATT).
Does anyone have a rooted rogers Nexus S that is working properly on 3G?
If so, what are you running for ROM, Radio, CWM, etc?
Thanks in advance,
I have been pulling my hair trying to get this fixed.

Rogers Wireless Nexus S
Rom: SuperAOSP 8.0 Android 2.3.4
Build #: GRJ22
Baseband: NO DGSXXKD1
Kernel: Netarchy Nexus S 1.3.0.12 CFS 2.3.4
Recovery: Clockwork Mod v 3.0.2.4
Runs perfect on Rogers here in Vancouver. Check your other thread to see if the radio i posted fixes your 3G problem. It happened to me too when i originally flashed SuperAOSP, but finding the right radio will definitely fix it.
I have an I9020a running on Rogers. I've run stock, cyanogenmod, and a couple other custom ROMs without any loss of 3G. I am currently using CM Nightly 84.
I've also experimented with the various NS radios available and haven't experienced any loss of 3G connectivity. I am currently using the 2.3.4 radio.
Have you checked your APN settings to make sure that you have the Roger's access points inputted?
Thanks for your responses, Guys.

Did you install a new rom?
Hi guys I'm new to forums so bear with me. I have had the gsm nexus s that I use on t mobile for quite a long time. Ever since I bought it won't connect to 3G and is also stuck on 2.3.4 and wont update, and now that I hear it's getting Jellybean im starting to get a bit annoyed. I've tried all kinds of stuff I have seen in forums but nothing ever works so I'll get down to specifics. Here's the "About phone"
model: nexus s
android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: I9020AUCKE1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-ge382d80 [email protected] #1
build number: GTJ61
Anyone have any ideas? Thank you
Trying to get back to out of the box stock software. Tried a RUU and still hasn't gone completely stock. I still have antenna signal (roaming issues)...basically can't get signal when I used to get full. It seems to be roaming on Verizon towers. Also, can't type certain areas of the screen or the letter I press does not input.
I researched and on stock Froyo 2.2 and running 3.70 I think I am suppose to be on 1.90 PRI instead of what I currently have downloaded PRI 2.15. Could that be the issue? If so, how do I downgrade properly to 1.90? I heard 1.77 has better battery life would that be a better alternative? Thanks for any help u guys give....I have been on this mystery for almost two weeks

What Device? OG EVO 4G ?
old skool EVO 4G.
I was given advice to do these two methods: I Did the link for the current radios and experiencing same problems. I guess I'll do the Mikg3.11 full swipe next. If that does't work I do not know what to do next.
here is the link for the current radios:
CM-EVO_Radio-2.15.00.12.19_PRI-2.33_WiMax_NV.zip
and here is the link to mikg3.11 which is waaaaaay better then stock:

Where the last EVO 4G ended up having antenna probs and dead pixels. Luckily, I got myself a used EVO 4G but it has the Cyanogenmod 7 rom on it and I cannot activate it to my pre-existing Sprint line.
Talked to Sprint customer service and they said that it needs to go back to stock program so that the command prompts to activate the phone will work.
I used flashed these files: CM-EVO_Radio-2.15.00.12.19_PRI-2.33_WiMax_NV.zip and PC36IMG and it did not get it back to the stock rom.
What am I doing wrong?
