Yes, 1 post = noob......well spotted
My SGS GT I-9000 will not even load now. Here is the history:
Australian phone running 2.2 (optus)
Rooted it and installed a Darky rom (9.something I think, worked fine)
Then installed DarkyROM_v10.2.2_Extreme_Edition (worked fine)
A friend recommended CyanogenMod, so I installed CyanogenMod-7.1 (I did not do a nand back up)
Not really feeling CyanogenMod, so want to remove it.
Tried installing 2 other roms in the usual methods and would not load them, kept defaulting back to CyanogenMod-7.1.
Then tried to install a stock rom with the following process:
1. Make sure you have extracted the contents of the Firmware and ODIN rar files to a folder.
2. Turn off your phone and boot into the Download Mode (Volume DOWN+Home+Power Button).
3. Start ODIN. Then connect the phone to the computer. ODIN will say 'Added!'.
4. Then, in ODIN, select the following file in PDA: JPY_JPY_JPY.tar
5. Leave everything else as it is shown in the screenshot below:
5. Now, click on Start.
6. When ODIN says 'Close serial port and wait until rebooting', and the phone reboots, disconnect the phone from the computer.
Now my phone boots into the original SGS boot sequence and then stays blank and every 1 minute or so vibrates. It will not boot into recovery mode (Up+Menu+Power) or download mode (Down+Menu+Power).
I loaded Samsung Kies onto my PC. It recognises the phone as a SGS GT I-9000, but can not access anything.
Do I have a dead SGS?
Cheers

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Fit (GT-S5670). I can not set it to recovery mode, to install a custom rom.
I try with Odin Multi Downloader v4.38 to do this recovery. But after the first step of cell phone lights up and does not wish to continue the process. I have to manually shut down and enter into recovery mode (power button + volume down + home button). Odin recognizes manually enter in recovery, but does not continue beyond the <1> Connection Setup. Waiting for 10,20,30 minutes, but still standing in this proceeding, and the cell phone does not respond to any button.
And now the problem is impossible not to enter into recovery mode. When I try indicator of a dice with no possibility of moving the volume keys up and down.
Mobile phone is rooted with Super One click root (I think that the program is called).
The Android phone is installed with the basic version 2.2.1 S5670XXKA7. Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf root @ dell105 # 1 and version number FROYO.XWKC1.
Can you help me? Which Android system is best for this type of phone, ie the most stable and fastest.
If something means, the mobile is in Croatia.
Thanks for your help, I hope you understand my problem.
I'm from Livno. I use S5670XWKT2 (Android 2.3.6). It is for the European space.

Have you tried entering recovery before using odin?
If your trying to flash CWM recovery over your current rom i suggest you update your android to gingerbread (2.3.x) and than try to flash CWM.
You can update your phone via Samsung Kies, i bought mine with 2.2.1 Froyo and updated it to 2.3.5 and then installed CWM via Odin...
Now is when I installed the Kies. They probably missed some drivers. I put up the Croatian software.
Thank you very much.
Now we can easily continue ...
If you get stuck you can tell the PM in Croatian because I did the best with English
It can only explanation yet as to put him on the flash for fast processor?
After many many days and countless hours ive found a easier way to root UCLB3 2.3.6 gingerbread ATT official update. i have tried this on two different phones with success (HOWEVER TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE. IM JUST SIMPLY STATING WHAT HAS WORKED FOR ME ON TWO DIFFERENT PHONES ONE BEING MY WIFES AND THE OTHER MY SONS.) Ok this is what i learned. The Captivate Glide and the Infuse are near identical in build properties, boot sequences and partitions. they were close enough for me to try this and it worked. OK follow the steps just as listed... I did this on a windows 7 pc so i am not sure about any others.
1. Download and save CWM recovery tar to your pc.
2. Download the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip from below and copy it to your phone via the usb cable. (you will need it in a few moments)
3. Make sure the proper drivers for your phone is installed on your pc. if not visit samsung mobile website download page for your device and download and install them.
4. Download and install Odin 1.85 if you do not already have it.
Ok thats all you need so now lets proceed with what you need to do. again follow these steps exactly or dont cry to me if it dont work.
1. make sure usb debbugging is checked on your phone.
2. turn phone off.
3. right click the odin file you downloaded earlier and click run as administrator.
4. put phone in download mode by pressing both volume up and down and power button while pluuging the phone via the usb in the computer.
5. once in download odin should recognize your phone if you took the time to make sure you had the right drivers for your phone. when odin recognizes your phone you will see a yellow com in the first window.
6. make sure repartition is NOT checked.
7. click the pda button and navigate to where you saved the cwm.tar file on your pc and select it.
8. then click go.
9. when done you will see the yellow box turn blue and say pass. if not you will see a red box that says fail. in that case go back and folow every step but do not unplug your phone from the pc until you see a blue pass. when flashing you will see it say recovery image dont panic this is normal.
10. after you get a blue pass and have successfully installed clockwork recovery reboot the phone into recovery mode by holding both volume up and down and press power untill you see the att logo then release the power button only.
11. once in recovery mode you will see install update from sd card. arrow down to that and press the power to select it. navigate to where you saved the superuser zip file at on your phone and select it. you may have to do this 3 or 4 times but keep doing it it will eventually root the phone and push superuser. one phone it took 3 tries and the other 4 tries.
12. when it installs succesfully reboot phone and make sure superuser is installed.
13. go to google market and down load two apps. one busybox install it, the other rom manager. install busybox first then rom manager.
14. open rom manager then click fix permissions. do not skip this. if you do dont wine to me about any apps that dont work any more or any force closes you may get.
and thats it. enjoy. as i said this worked for me twice with no problems but those are the exact steps i did and it worked for me....
hummmm?

[Q]Stuck in download mode
Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk
Hi,
So I have a Note 10.1 2014 edition the SM-P600. I rooted it, and all worked fine, but then I wanted to go back to stock firmware. Booted up Odin 3.7 and plugged it in all normal, except it failed on cache.img..... now it doesnt boot into download mode or recovery.
snag[dot]gy/dJnVc.jpg
On the screen it shows
TABLET --> YELLOW ! -> PC
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
Problem being, I boot up Kies and attach the device, but Kies tells me the device is not recognised with this version of Kies (its correct Kies version, version 3)
The tablet is still recognised by the PC + Odin, so perhaps flashing a different firmware may bring it back to life?
In this firmware error mode, when I flash with Odin it does show a progress bar at the bottom which DOES move as Odin bar moves, so something is at least attempting to do something to it.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.
EDIT:
Ok so I fixed it, I let the battery totally die, then plugged it in, and at the same time held the buttons for Download mode. Got in there and reflashed a stock rom. All back working.

Your problem most likely being that this is the Note 10.1 thread, yes, but it's the 2012 Note thread. Under the assumption you possibly downloaded from the completely wrong place. This is the 2014 edition forum.
This is my first ever use of any forum. So plz sry if i am posting this thread in the wrong place/discussion!!
I had a samsung galaxy s duos(gt-s7562). i rooted it about 2-3 years back. a few days back i tried to edit my build.prop file using es file explorer. It did work but after my work was done i made the mistake of copy-pasting the backed up file.(i had made a general copy-type backup of the file.) When i tried to reboot my phone it got stuck at the samsung screen.(maybe a bootloop.)
I can go to the recovery mode by pressing volume, home and power button. But it is the android system recovery. No cwm.
How can i get it back to life??!!
I have another s duos phone which i am currently using to write this thread. I thought of rooting this phone and then using its nandroid backup to restore my first phone. But as told, there is no custom recovery on that. And usb debugging is also off.
Can i use odin to install cwm recovery on my phone withou usb dedebugging. And is there any other easier method to recover my soft bricked phone.
Please help.
