How can i play MP4 or AVI 1080p video ??

I tried the normal video player and i tried MX Player and Mobo player but it's either unsupported or i get lags till my device freezes !!

Sorry for my poor Eng.
Today I tried buzz player and it played my mkv 720p files with no lag at all (with internal buzz decoder), thought it suddenly stopped after period of time and then I couldn't see any media files, had to close and opened the app again. There're still some mirror problems with this player when working on honeycomb but I think it can play 720p mkv smoothly.
I tried moboplayer, mplayer, rockplayer and vplayer, rockplayer and vplayer couldn't play at all, mobo and mplayer work laggy.
So hopefully someone will have a look.

I was wondering that why there's no sound when i play Mkv files using moboplayer or MX player in HW mode?
there's sound on SW mode but it jitters alot.
anyone with the same problem as me???
everyone gets that. it seems the way to get mkv 720p hi-profile to work in the TF (or possibly any tegra2 device) is to decode video in Hw and sound in SW.
try dice player, it does it.

I had some mkv files that would play sound in moboplayer, but Dice player works great for them. I still use moboplayer on my phone, though.

so far , I've been trying every player I could find , the one which play the AC3 sound got bad video or can't play .srt subtitles.
the ones that support .srt dont play sound.
basicly I live in Israel , I'd like to watch movie with Hebrew subtitles.
I'd love to be able to download movie and play it as-is without re-encoding it which is time consuming.
is there any solution ? or any working player ?
Have you tried MX Player yet? After playing with this player for a while, I decided to remove all other players.
MX Player is all I need. It play 720p mkv, sub (.srt and in .mkv). It has S/W decoding and H/W decoding...

Try diceplayer.
diceplayer can play 720p High + DTS + MKV + SRT/SMI subs
If sub charset encoding is problem.
convert your subtitle file to UTF-8
Is there any video player for Samsung Galaxy R that can play 720p H264 videos with high profile of encoding [like any TV series release that can be found on the web]? I heard that Tegra2 is not really good with such kind of videos, but i really did not have any luck with finding any program that can play them back [they all stutter badly].
Also, if no solution can be found, can you recommend me some pc server/android client that can transcode that type of videos and stream them over the wifi?

although i lost my last android but i still remember how cool that program is,
now i'm just waiting for the 700, now i really want to experience android (esspecially 4.0, last time i got 2.3) but i don't have one
BS player lite is the best for me. Think it's better than MX player, BS player has it's own HW engine. Also MX player stopped supporting DTS sound.
MX for me. It even has a child lock which is a life saver.
Mx player + kids lock is the ultimate car tranquilizer.
For me it's dice player. Old avi, mkv, 720p mkv, mini 720p mkv, rmvb all play w/o any problem

For the moment, I use MX Player pro without problem with the child lock plugin
And I use VLC update 24 for AVI also, and it's plays well
