I know, but don't we need some updates. Nothing is wrong with keeping a thread for updates now that all are 100% possible.

Entirely my thinking when posting this thread .

The point of this thread is to be a place easily found by everyone in our forum for the devs to post new updates now that we have kernel source. Sorry but i couldnt find your thread here on our forum mate.

that's odd, i started it before the first miui came out for our phone. but no big deal, i just wanna know what the devs are doing

Phresh... You've been in these forums long enough to know that not one of our developers are going to dignify this thread with a comment, especially since they have posted their "update plans" in the threads of their respective roms.

And leo trust me not knowing the ETAs make it easier to wait.. Cause if you know the due date then ull be super impatient and wont stop thinking bout it. Jus not knowing is best in my opinion!

I think an all in one thread for CM7 or MIUI updates shouldn't even exist, unless one of the devs working on the ports creates it. Then it can be stickied and we don't have to worry about searching through pages of flaming for the updates!

You realize since we have source now, it aint gonna be a port but a build just for us!

I say just keep your eyes on the Android Development section and keep your fingers crossed for the holy words to grace it .

So is this a thread to decide on whether to start a thread for miui or cm7 development?
Im all in favor of having a thread that the devs can give us periodic updates on their progress with the roms. As long as the thread has a rule that you can not ask in anyway for eta's.

New to xda

Hi everyone!!
I am limitz cash, last week I rooted then flashed my cappy with a custom kernel and rom. I wanted to thank everyone here at xda, especially the devs!! This is my first post but I will be more active now, since I know what flashing is all about now. Its awesome! !! I want to thank the devs again, thank you so much! And thank you xda!! You will be seeing more of me soon enough.

Wait there is something everyone did not ask in their haste that no search was done.
To the OP are you on AT&T? If not that post with the how to get back to gb instructions may not work for you, and it might brick you.
If you are not on att and one of the other leaks please ask this question in the thread you installed the leak from. If you are on AT&T then you should be fine with the link posted in this thread.

Question

Hi to you All.
I just have a Question and i really have no experience with this forum ( new to it ).
I don't know where to post my question, I posted it in a reply in some Threads but i didn't get any answer, so i posted it here and if there is anything wrong feel free to tell me in-order to learn .
I have a new international Samsung GT-N7100, and i wanna root it and put fine Rom in it.
How can i know that is a good Rom for me? What makes a Rom better than the others? Does Rooting legal or illegal?
Note: please send me a message with the comments and answers so that i can see it, because for my 1st time sure i will be lost .

I told him to do so, so he could go to completely another forum (not XDA) and ask this noob question there, where nobody knows him.
Now you get it?
It would be very funny experience for him to find out what other people on other frums know about SGS4 or phone flashing at all.

I would probably get people telling me off and not wanting to teach me... Happens a lot on these forums, luckily the constant S4 questions have kind of died down here and people like myst tend to point them in the right direction instead of just making a fuss about it.

Why not just report it and move on?
Anyhow, congrats on new device, go forth & make it great like you did for sgs4g..
