I don't think tomorrow is a good day to get phones, since ATT has shown in the past too.many activations in one day make the system shut down and the iphone 4s is coming out, if I were you I would get it from amazon wireless is cheaper and no tax
Nexus Prime
It depends on your usage....if you travel a lot then I recommend you Not to get an android or a bada as they barely last 2 days.... you could go for a blackberry or an iPhone ..or like the others said you could wait foe the nexus prime .... goodluck!!

I'd go with the Droid 3 if she'd prefer a keyboard. It's pretty much the best qwerty slider on the market right now (in terms of specs) and by all accounts has one of the best keyboards of any phone.
And I hear you on the Droid 2 battery life. My Milestone 2 with the standard Blur'd 2.2 would drain the battery in about 6 hours while in standby. Thank god for custom roms... D:
Droid 3 is more likely...she really liked the blackberry she had besides the way Facebook and things looked ... Droid pro? Any opinions on that phone?

Well, the Droid Pro is basically the Droid 2 but with a keyboard front-and-center. That and a smaller, lower-res screen.

Itll get rooted, but bootloader is locked. With the recent breakthroughs on the Droid X with second init and getting CM7 working, count on aosp working at some point on the Photon also. Motorola may even unlock a few months down the road since they promised no more locked bootloaders.

I personally would hold off and see what they come out with next year - waiting always pays off, especially when having to keep that same device for 20 months until you can upgrade. Also taking into consideration that they are making phones with a lot better batteries too.
Ya I know I jump on the Thunderbolt wagon quick now I have the Rezound but I want a backup Thunderbolt.

I'm the same way with HTC. I had an Eris, Incredible (wife's), Thunderbolt, and now an Incredible 2. Just got rid of my bolt a few days ago. I came really close to deciding to throw it against a brick wall instead of selling it. I hate it that much. Got the GS2, I absolutely love it.
I am on the Thunderbolt for the 3rd time now. I have had the Nexus, Rezound and the Razr Maxx. The only phone I liked better than the Thunderbolt is the Razr Maxx. I think I will get the Razr Maxx again but I will keep the Thunderbolt around for my second phone!

So I though of upgrading my nexus one. The possible candidats are a htc one s or a motorola razr maxx. If you had to choose wich one would you take? I don't like that big screens, so 4.3 inches seems to be a sweat spot for me. Could you recomend me other phones?
Thx
Sent from my Nexus One using xda app-developers app
Razr Maxx has the best battery life out of all smartphones in the market so if you are looking for a phone that has great battery life, the razr maxx is the phone to get. Other good phones are the GNexus and the SGS3 which have full support of Ics and JB.
The best hardware right now is the galaxy s iii. The best software support is on the galaxy nexus.
I wouldn't get something as locked down as the Motorola unless you're okay with only ever getting one android update, and getting it super late. And I think the gsiii does everything the HTC does and then some.
My choice is (and probably always will be) the nexus because I have more control over it than any other device, but the gsiii is a good choice now as well.

There's too many of these threads all over the place on here now.
None of us can give you a definite answer of what phone to get because ultimately, it's your choice and none of us can change that. And if a you're after is suggestions, why not just think of a few yourself and float round the specific sections for those phones so you can read peoples responses to the phone.
I'll end up making a dedicated thread for this kinda thing if I see too many more of these

It starts getting difficult at 5+ and becomes a matter of taste there. Otherwise 4.8 has proven manageable with phones like sensation and galaxy s3.
Consider that the maxx is not HD and is aged technology, even at launch there were complaints on moto holding out,if you also don't mind this carry on.
Consider you can always get an extended battery for something like the s3 or optimus 4x without a great increase in bulk as they're thin.

No custom roms/kernels/themes/flashable zips? Boring.
There are no back/menu button on the sides of the home button so navigation is not as easy as android.
But it FEELS a lot faster than any other phone i tried though. Animations are perfectly executed.
Only 4" upgrade worth looking at would be the S3 mini, IMO. However, the HTC One S is fairly close, 4.3". A friend has one and I could deal with it, and I REALLY hate large phones. It can be a bit tricky to root though.
