I know there is a thread that has all ROMS. My question is a bit different.
I have a I9020A that is rooted with a custom ROM on it. I want to go back to stock.
Yes, I could simply reference the mentioned thread and download a full factory ROM for the Nexus S I9020A, but I am looking for the identical ROM that AT&T ships on their Nexus S (not a generic one for the I9020A that's compatible in Canada, etc).
Anyone know where I can get this from?
Thanks.
Click on my profile and view my participated thread posts, that's where I got mine at, its a few pages back, lmk know you make out.
Obviously I'm on my phone or I'd paste it for you.

bdpyo, this post is the AT&T ROM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17998683&postcount=8
I'm thinking not since the poster has a Canadian flag avatar.
I am looking for the exact ROM that's on the AT&T Nexus S one would purchase from Best Buy in the US, not the international "universal" ROM.
I'm pretty sure that is it and the one that I used and I think that the OP had a "US" version of our phone and that's why he had and posted it.

Thats the one I used and it worked fine, you could always PM that guy and ask specific questions.
I didn't have any problems and I wiped everything like you normally would when flashing a new ROM.

Yesterday I decided to upgrade from SynergyROM v125 to v257 since there are so many great additions to 257. The upgrade was easy, but upon first boot I noticed that the messaging app wasn't installed. This may be a known issue, but in all of my searching I haven't found any mention of it.
I figured maybe it was an option that I chose in the installation, so I reflashed it making sure to include all of the possible components in the selection lists and not include any in the remove software list. Messaging was still not there. OK, maybe I had a bad download. I redownloaded the ROM from another mirror, same deal. Tried a third mirror, same issue.
At that point I pulled the MMS.apk from the 125 version of Synergy and tried to install it but the install failed, indicating that messaging was already installed at a higher version. At that point I gave up and flashed the prior release 169 and messaging was included.
Did I do something wrong?
As an aside, I had Google Wallet working on v125 and forgot to wipe it before flashing v257 or 169. I thought that I had broken gwallet permanently because it sat at the logging in screen indefinitely. The first instance of gwallet I spoofed the phone to look like an htc_jewel. After downloading a wallet apk for the Galaxy Nexus and spoofing it as that, gwallet installed with no issues. Hopefully this can help someone else.
Wrong forum.
Sorry, where should I post this? If you're a moderator can you move it?
Back in the general section or help and troubleshooting section - and im not a mod.
I thought you couldn't even reply to a Dev thread without more than 10 posts, let alone start a thread.. now I see two threads in dev that were started in the wrong place?

Now that you mention it... Yeah.... Wtf?
I believe you can start your own thread but not post on existing thread without the post count
Why the hell didn't you just reply in the synergy thread? This decision to make a new topic makes no sense.

The synergy thread is over a thousand pages long. I searched through it for my problem and neither that nor Google has any relevant reports of my issue.
I also wanted to possibly help someone with the gwallet workaround I found.

It's a synergy question. There are people there to help that's why it's so long. That's where this question should go

Anyway. Reflash the Rom. And pay attention to the aroma installer. Choose either aosp messaging or tw messaging.

As far as i know there is no way to actually go backwards on your OS.
You could search for the the 2.3.... for the nexus S but i doubt that youll be in any luck.
What i reccomend is to take it to the next step.
I have heard good things about it.
Not sure if the Trim does any difference to nexus S but i believe it might help.
Try the following ... was about to flash it yesterday to mine but the download link doesnt seem to work !

From what i remember ... if there is an unlocked lock when boot up your phone, that means it is unlocked.
I thingx that it means that the phone is unlocked dont know if the SIM is as well.
Maybe someone else might shed more light into that
Of you really want gingerbread, find the oxygen ROM thread in the development section. It is a great ROM. Or try the new CyanogenMod nightly 4.3 ROM. There are a few bugs, but it is quite quick.
Edit: are you still on stock, unrooted?
Just do a Google search for nexus s stock images and you should be able to get them off Google developers or something. Just make sure you have adb installed. Fastboot unlock, flash factory 2.3 images and relock fastboot. Tell me if you need me to go in depth and I'll post a more in depth tutorial as o in bed right now

BTW the unlocked padlock on the turn on screen means your boot loader is unlocked but your GSM may not be unlocked.

if I was to pull my system from my Cricket phone, would we be able to get some work on the Cricket version of this phone?
I see work being done on Boost Mobile and other versions, but not much on the Cricket model.
Depends if someone has a cricket phone to run tests and debug any issues prior to release.

A hint.... Important partitions on your device are very similiar to the K2_UL variant .

I deodexed the cricket system for you guys, that you can build mods (for example in UOT Kitchen).
Some of our european mods should also work with that, but it needs someone with that phone to try (of course with a backup in his hand).
But its downloaded only 4 times (in the last 4 weeks).
Seems there is not much interest out there, sorry.
Well, throw me some links and I'll test out a few ROMs/MODs
Really looking to see this device take off...
Flash the package in post #3 first.
Then you can try things from post #1 or 2 if you want.
Also xpirt has some threads with mods for 422.
But like i said, i can't say for sure, if all will work also for cricket.
You should have a backup (and the knowledge to restore).
i am dedcated
im a k2 plc cl user and have flashed alot of roms from all links and most have been for k2 ul but also have had all different kind of problems but also alot of success so i would like to try and do anything to help
Add me to the mix. K2_PLC_CL user also. I have stock backup as well as a backup of my xposed modded ROM. I will test whatever I can to help out development for the cricket variant.

My G2 sometimes takes a long time to send texts. It isn't AT&T related since my nexus 5 has no issue. I don't think it's ROM related since it does it across all ROMs. However, I don't know if it does it on stock ROM. I don't think it does though. It's been a while since I've been on it.
Any ideas? APN? LTE? modem?

+1
There's a patched modem in the at&t development thread that works wonders. I'm using it now.

I didn't have any issues. Mine changed. I used Philz recovery though. I just made sure I verified the md5 with a file explorer.
Ill try with philz and report back
What rom and kernel are you using?

I'm sorry then. I don't know. I am on stock 20k. Dori kernel right now. But was on stock kernel when I flashed.
Oh.....im on cloudyg3 with dori kernel too
Ive used this same patch that was mentioned earlier in the post...im on stock rooted 20k and it works awesome. Not sure if the new 20y fixes the problem....but guess we'll have to wait and see if someone can make a flashable version.

Contrary to what you believe, it IS AT&T.
I have had a number of phones that all behaved the same way on AT&T's network.
Some pages come pretty quickly, and others take up to an hour to show up.
Friends on Sprint or Verizon have no such issue, generally.
Can any one share the Zeus hd rom v5 with me please
isnt that the guy that just copied stuff from gametheory's rom? no thanks
Uploading H631_v10J_ZEUSv5_12-05-2015.zip version now to Google Drive and then MediaFire, I think that was his last rom before being busted and exposed.

I'll take tap's to the thanks button as a sign of gratitude and that I helped ya. LoL
Can someone tell me what's so great about this ROM?
Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk
I wouldn't mind trying this. But, every other ROM says don't wipe system (I think that's the one I usually go check before installing a new one) and I think the original Turbo said wipe everything? I'm not sure about it, but I think I might try this out (unfortunately, Katana isn't getting any updates).
Did anyone flash it, if so what did ya notice that's different, especially if you've used previous versions of zeus hd, pro's and con's, or comparisons from it verses katana?
Very little people here on this forum
Plenty of people here. Just no devs. Anyone got any skills with making a ROM? If so I'm down with learning and assisting.
