here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272676
You should turn off MS Security Essentials.
can i install the oficial "recovery" without install ALL 1.33 rom with the ruu installer?
this is my installation progress:
oficial -> s-off -> cwm -> root -> ruu 1.33 -> cwm -> root
is required install again this ruu to get "only oficial recovery"?
can i get only oficial recovery 1.33 installing one "PH06IMG.zip"?

hello
i was on a stock sfr( vodafone) rom and for root purposes( titanium) i went s off , and i was on version 1.35 of the OTA.
but the new OTA 1.45 was not installable , so i followed the instruction installed stock rom vodafone 1.23.. fr, and secured the cid , so i went on , but then no OTA was available even four days after and more than ten days after , so i tried to install the ruu 1.45... but the installation aborts on the signature process, ( i tried to redownlaod it , tried from different pc, ...)so i to take an update ota that i found on this site , going through the recovery , but the recovery says to me , c'ant open cache/ recovery/ command .so i decided to go s off again but to my surprise the H BOOT of my device is not compatible with the revolutionary io .
and on all of that i have the device which restarts itself twice or three times a day without me using it !!
PLEASE HELP what can i do to update my device to g 2.3.4
So it seems that the installation of RUU 1.23 brought you up with HBOOT 1.17.0005
OTA 1.45 is to update 1.35 only I think, so that's why you have not gotten the 1.45 OTA notification yet...
>> Download a 1.35 RUU, install that and your HBOOT should be back to 1.1.7.0008
Check this thread for all kinds of RUU versions
If you want stock 2.3.4 use a WWW 1.35 RUU unbrandend - OTA should pop-up after the first boot right away!
Otherwise check for one of the many custom ROMs which are mainly all based on 2.3.4 now!

well thanks for your answer but i tried to install all the vodafone roms , upper than this one , and even the unbranded 1.35 and 1.45 stock roms , but it stops at the signature process where it says to that my installer is not the appropiate one
when my phone was s -off it was on 1.35 and i made a nandroid backup , is there a mean to reinstall that even if i have not anymore clockwork mode recovery ?
please can somebody help ?
Hey,
can you please provide more details on what you are trying to do?
- which RUU?
- which HTC drivers are installed?
- Windows version?
- what options do oyu have in the bootloader / recovery?
- mwie -
If u r trying to use a ruu that has an older hboot than what your phone has it will fail every time. U need to get a ruu that is the same or newer hboot as your phone OR wait for revolutionary to become compatible with ur hboot

can you please provide more details on what you are trying to do?- well i was on a stock ruu 1.35 with s off of sfr and the new ota ( 1.45) did not apply , so i did s on again to have the new ota , but in the process i had to use the ruu which was available on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 , so my intention is to have the ota or ruu 1.45 installed on my htc sensation .i don't want the custom roms .

hi guys i've a question for you: my Desire S is s-off, root but still with stock rom (and 4Ext recovery)...i know that i cannot do the OTA update so i have to choose 2 ways:
1) downgrade to s-on with hboot 0.98 and 1.28 RUU stock rom, then do the ota updates
2) flashing the rom 2.10 with RUU without downgrade
here is my doubt: if i flash now the RUU 2.10, the update will succeed but the device will turn back to s-on without root or the device will result blocked as doing the OTA update?
and when it will be available RUU 2.10 prerooted? i could use the RUU with the device S-off, maintaining root?
Why apply the update?
Stay well clear of it, as it will just limit your devices future functionality and remove future options that are currently open to you, if you want the update then supply a custom that contains it.
Never apply ota updates once rooted

hi dudes...i flash my phone to 2.21 with ruu file...i unlock bootloader & root & install custom recovery...i check ota update & there is no update to 2.31...my cid is htc_203...any guide to update to 2.31 from ota or must wait for 2.31 ruu file?

You may restore my stock odex NANDROID backup in development section or flash zipaligned deodexed firmware by torxx! Else changing CID to HTC__Y13 shall work for OTA update. PLEASE refrain from making new threads, there are multiple threads about OTA 2.31 update and solutions better check and search!
tanx dude for guide...but have questions
1-if i relock bootloader & install stock recovery or flash 2.21 ruu again is there any chane to give ota?or must change cid?
2-if i install your backup nanadroid or zipaligned firmware..is there no problem to give future ota updates?

1. You should change the CID, as the OTA update was intended for EUR region ONLY. Else you may stick with your original CID keep a backup and restore when a WWE OTA update releases. Since this was asmall update, a proper RUU shall eventually be released with the major JB (4.1) update expected next month.
2- With my nandroid backup (since its odexed and stock, and as long as your bootloader is locked and recovery stock(after restoring the backup ofcourse)) you can receive the future OTA. WAIT.... yes a RUU for 2.31 is leaked and being uploaded in stock RUU thread, development section!
Why don't you just flash the new 2.31 RUU from dl2.0m[dot]de/ONE_S/RUUs/RUU_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.5_Radio_1.06es.50.02.31_10.09a.50.04L_release_275655_signed.exe

Hello All,
Sorry for my lack of knowledge. I've been searching for answers for quite some time but all was getting a bit vague. So I have to put my questions here.
1. I have HTC One S S4, 4.1.1 stock, HBOOT 2.15.0000, Rooted with bootloader unlocked, CID = BM_001 (Bell Mob Canada), Software No. 3.16.666.9, TWRP Recovery, made a backup of System and Boot using TWRP
*Rooted and bootloader unlocked using AIO Tool by Hasoon
Now I have some questions regarding stock and custom ROM flashing.
2. If I have to "unroot" or revert to stock ROM, do I have to do the following?
- Lock Bootloader
- Flash stock recovery (I suppose extracting it from the OTA zip?)
- Flash the OTA zip (I downloaded stock OTA_Ville_U_JB_45_S_BM_3.16.666.9_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_308167fun0bzhoz2tch0mh.zip, there was no RUU for this carrier)
- OR flashing the firmware.img from the OTA zip?
I am all confused about how I will flash stock firmware as there is no RUU for Bell Mobility JB, just the OTA which is 600+ MB.
Will that be all?
3. Can I flash a Stock ROM other than BM?
- Is there an International carrier free version that I can flash?
- Any drawbacks of this process?
4. If I want to go with flashing a custom ROM, will I have to something further? E.g
- S-off
- SuperCID (Not possible with HBOOT 2.15)
5. Other than battery Issue, I believe there’s this Camera issue which don’t understand in particular. Is there no ROM which can provide the same Camera functionality as Stock? What’s the ROM that provides the closest functionality to that of the Stock?

-you cant flash ota trough twrp, you have to wait for a ruu
(or get s-off, then you can flash older ruu and do normal ota trough stock rom)
first flash recovery then lock
your CID allows what you can flash + if no s-off you can go lower than your current state/hboot
for flashing only custom roms s-off of supercid is not needed, you might need an updated firmware for the new kernel on asop.
if you want only stock, there are also stock custom roms (with/without bloatware) that are recovery flashable
try facepalm or moonshine if you want soff.

Thanks. Maybe S-Off is the last resort.
Hi
I have this phone, and I want to install MIUI ROM.
Now, I have 2.3.4 (I think 1.45 firmware or something like this).
I made phone S-OFF (HBOOT 1.18 and used revolutionary).
First question: Do I have to unlock my bootloader, also? Because I can't, even <fastboot oem get_identifier_token> doesn't work.
Now, I have download MIUI 3.12.20 from this forum (download link was from official MIUI site).
I Installed recover (CWM), then went into it, wiped system, dalvik, cache and installed MIUI. but it just came till MIUI logo and reboots after a couple of seconds.
So, how to install this rom?

Thanks, but link is not complete. It has ... in it.
Anyway I found that 3.33, and flashed it. Then flashed recovery (It removed recovery), then MIUI. It worked!
Thanks again.
