Do you know how to remove Case Mate POP? - LG Optimus 3D

The case is looking good and very protective for the phone.
However it is very difficult to remove the case as it is very fit.
As you know, O3D is battery killer which should swap battery very often.
It is killing me to remove the case...
Anyone can advise how to remove it easily?
Thank you very much

Pop it from the back. Push between the lens, you won't damage the flash.
No easier way.
Funny tip, if you push too slow, your phone will turn off.

Just puchin the hole for that case, and with other hand hand on the phone
Sorry for my english

BETTER CASE FOR XDA II...?

No one seems to mention how horrible and inconvenient the xda case is. The xda was bad, because you had to open it to answer the phone, but the xda II is awful as it opens from the top, and when you use it not only do you have to open it, you've also got a horrible case flapping around all over the place. Lucky I'm not trying to look cool with my new phone!
No, seriously, has anyone found a better case? I want one that doesn't have to be opened to use the phone, but also protects the thing properly, as I've just had a bad experience with my old xda (apparently) getting irreparably damaged without me even noticing...
Thanks
I'm waiting for an i-Volution case from Vaja ; I had one for my XDA1 , and it was absolutely perfect !
I still use the "Rugged" Krussel case i used for my XDA. Works pretty good.
http://www.tekguru.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php?article=690
The Aluminum one is on my christmas list.
Hmm.. one you don't have to open. I like that idea.
-arebelspy
looking cool
to be really ice cold cool.
don't have phone, pda or credit cards.
Let you manservant carry those..
Thanks for the suggestions. Wheere does the aluminium one come from?
I think I'll wait until I've finally decided I like the xda II and wouldn't rather sell it, and then I'll cut holes in the original leather case! Very distressing to find I can't turn the phone off using the red button, though...
Check this case out, makes it easy to use bluetooth.

Would the Aluminum case hinder reception? I would think so if it covers the antenna area of the XDAII/iMate
And why no lanyard loop? I added a lanyard to my XDA ant this was quite helpful in keeping me from dropping it.

T-Mobile Kickstand Clear Case

Here's some pics of the kickstand case. mcp2009 also has a video of it in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8445306&postcount=27
i think this case looks pretty nice, surprisingly. i was expecting it to be bulky but it really isnt. the kickstand function is neat.
UPDATE: Don't be like many of us, and forget to remove the "MADE IN CHINA" sticker on the back cover.
UPDATE 2: I purchased the cheapo Lux brand black rubber-like case from amazon and this black case is significantly thinner than the clear kickstand case, in case you are wondering.
Lol yay someone mentioned me in a post I feel special. Haha, but yea man the case is great and the kickstand works very well. I like how it's not a cheap clip that turns and makes the phone stand up if you lean it.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2
Although I'd much rather have a full, clear Zagg shield that doesn't make the phone any thicker at all, I do like the kickstand. Would make viewing videos at work much easier.
How well does this hold on there? If I dropped it (which I try to avoid), would it pop off and allow the phone to be scratched or do you think it would survive a drop?
its stuck on the phone pretty good in the back. it took me some effort to remove it when I realized I forgot to take the made in china sticker off.

Good to hear.
Have mine ordered
I'm satisfied with this case for the time being. I would REALLY like to go bare, but I can't bring myself to do it. This phone is damn sexy

Yep, being sexy is a double-edged sword. I want to keep it naked, but at the same time I don't want it to get a scratch
yeps just got this case the other day i love it. but yes i have to admit it is pretty difficult to remove. hey btw does this kickstand supposed to lock in place when its out? because i can lock it but im not sure if thats wat its supposed to do or im just pushing it past what its supposed to lol

oh, i never even notice that it can "lock" there. looks like that's a feature though i never brought it that far.
and... yes. the phone is sexy. i want to not use a case too but my G1, caseless, looked beat up so badly after much use. my nexus with a gel case looked pristine when i sold it last week.

Haha! First, I didn't realize it had a kickstand. My girlfriend picked up the case, but I declined. She isn't aware of the kickstand either Second, I did the exact same thing as you, minotauri... forgot to take the sticker off the inside for her!
And yes, it is VERY difficult to remove the case. It's on there good.

Great Case!
I did the same thing....left the back sticker on...but wasn't that bad removing the case though.
Its attractive and the hard case will protect the phone better than the "skins" if dropped. The kickstand is a definite added plus
That and the Zagg screen protector...a great combination!
I purchased this case yesterday along with the g2 screen protectors, and the tmobile guy semi warped my phone while trying to remove the case because that damn sticker was left on there when he put it on. Its barely noticeable but I can tell. When the phone is completely closed, the left side wiggles (not the term I am looking for) ever so slightly. But it did not do that before. Wtf.

LOL - I'm glad many of you also left the sticker on and it wasn't juts me being stupid. I guess we're all too excited to keep our new toy protected to remove all the packaging. I'll edit the 1st post to tell people to remove it hehe.
That's too bad about your phone. mine doesn't wiggle... maybe you can get an exchange from the same guy who broke it?
How does this case handle the heat when it's being used?
I'm using the slip case that came with my N1. The G2 just barely fits, but its nice and snug but not too hard to remove. As the case stretches a bit, it will become easier to insert and remove.
That case has already saved my nexus from certain disfigurement. I'm glad it will continue to serve me.

I wonder what the hole is for right about the speaker in the back of the case?

What widget are you using for your clock?? I like it!
I also have this case, i like it.
QUESTION for those that have it. My phone froze and i had to do a battery pull...
THIS CASE IS A ***** TO REMOVE, or is it just me? The back part of the case that clips onto the bottom took me forever to remove safely, i hurt my fingers .

Nice I need to order
Looks very nice indeed! Might have to get one too, to interchange with my Otterbox case.
Though ive got a slight worry that glossy black will scratch like a motherducker in no time.
If anyone gets one can you post some pictures and maybe a video too? Curious to see what that plastic is like. Cheers!
I was gonna go for a casemate tough, but I think I might wait for this, looks very nice.

Got it on, and loving it! Extremely perfect fit. 100% top quality. It's all one piece, so getting it on is a bugger, but once it's on, you can't tell it's a case unless you know what the phone looks like without it. The light gray part is very soft, and very comfortable to hold. It does not add extra bulk when holding it, but just enough, so now it rest better in my palm. The glossy hard black part makes it look so sexy. Overall a great feeling case. The buttons are the easiest to push now. Even though they stick out ever so slightly they don't look out of place like the OtterBox commuter case. They have a dimple on the inside also which helps press the buttons on the phone, so you no longer need to press firmly, but just a gentle press works fine, but not so gentle that you would press it by mistake. The rubber around the screen is a great fit. It goes all the way to the glass, so you no longer have that aluminum edge there. All in all a great case. I highly recommend it.

Nope. The lens is slightly inside the case. The entire phone lies perfectly flat. Actually the shinny black back doesn't even touch the surface when it's on its back, so that won't get scratched by sliding the phone on a table or anything. The soft gray side grips are slightly raised from the case, so the middle is actually off the ground (I tried taking a pic of that, but it just looks like it's sitting flush, so I didn't add those).

So, the thing is a ***** to fit into initially.
Will it give way after a while so you can get it in and out easily, or is it some hard plastic that won't yield or wear down? Do you guys who own one see any way of modifying it for quicker removal?
I'd really like a case but I do not want to lose the ability to use my device for satnav, and I already have the Brodit cradle mounted....

The shinny black part is very hard plastic, and since the very soft gray part is fused to it, it is really really hard to get in and out. I almost feel like if I push any harder I'm going to break one or the other, but the soft part is just soft enough to get it in there. I don't see how it could get easier over time. It's one of those cases that once it's on, it's on for a long long time. Compared to the OtterBox Commuter case that one seems like it can fall off, and the Pop case seems like it was actually made into the phone, and not to come off without a struggle, but if I had to make a choice I would pick the Pop case 100% of the time. Again if you compare them side by side the OtterBox looks like it was made for a kid to play with, and the Case-Mate one that you buy tickets to see it in a museum. It is that good!
Thanks a lot for the quick reply mate. I was thinking that maybe one could cut or file down one of the plastic ridges that snap into place around the screen to hold the device.
I done that ages ago on a case for a XDA mini, and it worked quite nicely but obviously there is a thin line between making the in and out easier and making the case unusable by cutting in too far...
Again thanks for your input...

Thank you for good products to introduce.

How to open the battery cover?

Just bought a new Desire S yesterday, after we bought it I tried to open the battery cover. I can't remove it. We came back to the shop and ask the salesman to remove the battery cover, he removed it effortlessly. He said not to push the battery cover, just slide it out. He let me try and I still cant open it, he then again removed it for me effortlessly.
Is there a pressure point on how to remove it? I noticed a small space on the top side of the battery cover, can I use a knife to pry that open or will I break something on the cover?
Are you crazy?? Do not use a knife! When I first got it, I couldn't remove it aswell, but after a while, it becomes easier to remove. Just follow the instructions carefully; place both thumbs on the back and slide out
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App
I pull mine by holding the sides. Works everytime. Found sliding it too difficult.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
read the manual ;-) opening the cover is not that difficult. just have no fear to break it, its nearly impossible.
turn over the phone so thats its face down and then use a thumb and finger to squeeze the sides of the case while pulling it downwards!
ok, thanks for the advice, maybe just a problem on my hands (slippery maybe). maybe i'll use a vice grip top open it, or come back to the shop every time i need to open it
Can i say LOL? )
The most epic post:

Next up: "How to power on the phone???"
No offense.
i`m not gonna laugh at the chap...i had a hard time putting it BACK ON.....putting it back on properly
Don't damage that cover its also your antenna so without it you will be getting little to no signal.

The material of the cover is so slippery that i have never managed to open it myself the instructions are obvious, but in reality it is impossible to open

It COULD get easier over time, but i need to open it at least once or twice to start the progress
It was hard for me at first too. Easiest method I tried was to hold the phone in my left hand around the top of it, with the screen facing away from my palm, then with my right hand put the thumb underneath on the screen, and three fingers pressed down on the battery cover parallel to the phone, then slide it outwards using the three fingers.

For me its easier to open, because with the invisible shield on it, it gives it more grip to slid it open

HTC One S Cover Problem

Hi. Simple Problem but very annoying.
I can't put a cover/case on my HTC One S because when I do, the phone shut down.
The cover compress the back piece and makes the little button get stuck (as the same as if I was holding it) and then the phone shut down.
If I remove the back piece, I can put the cover/case on no problem. But than, that little button is hard to find and dust can enter in my phone.
Is this a problem that every user have with hard cover on their HTC One S?
I don't wanna spent another 15$ dollar on a gel cover that will make my phone do the same thing... but I wanna get a cover...
No cover, this phone won't last me a year!
You guys found a cover for your HTC One S?
I'm starting to think that it might not be a cover/case problem but a phone problem....
Thanks in advance !
Sorry for the english, not my first language.
havent used any case but i dont think your button is supposed to act in that manner
To be Sure, check with HTC service center and maybe they could help

My cover has a hole where the power button is, it's not the most awesome case ever (if any it's a bit plain) but I found it in a vodafone store with the screen protector included.
I hope it helps.
