Problem with notification of app updates - Verizon Droid Charge

About 3 days ago, I got some Verizon Update pushed to my phone, just happened when I turned it on.
Now everytime I boot up the phone it gives the little APP update icon in the bar at the top..I pull it down says there are 3 apps to update. So I open it and there are no apps that pop up to the top to update?
This has never happened before..any ideas?
It's just annoying...not really a problem.

My phone doesn't pop it up randomly, but it does tell me the wrong number every time. For instance, it will notify me that 5 apps can update when only 2 are available. My first Charge didn't, this "certified like new" one that I just got does.

Try scrolling to the bottom of the My Apps list in the Market. You should see three Verizon bloatware apps that are under "not installed" that want to update.

A similar issue to me happened recently.
For me, I would keep getting notifications that "X application has stopped responding", and an option to force close. These kept stacking on each other, to the point where I could press "force close" and not receive any response from the phone for several minutes. I rebooted my phone, and the same thing kept happening. Eventually I got the "welcome to android" screen. The phone would randomly reset itself at this point.
My solution was to re-install the ROM I had on it, so maybe that would work for you? I ended up taking my phone back to Costco for a replacement, since I figured that my issue probably wasn't a sign of good things to come. You might want to try the same thing.
Cool thx for your reply.

Sense restarts after installing/uninstalling apps w/new Market!

I updated to the new Market and it works perfectly BUT - Sense seems to restart after I leave the Market and have just uninstalled or installed/updated apps. Is this normal behavior? I've been using Launcher Pro for most of the time I've had the phone and this is extremely annoying. I understand why this is happening since on HC 3.1 the launcher refreshes/restarts after installing/updating apps to make sure widgets are updated, etc. HOWEVER, Sense takes too long to restart where as the stock HC 3.1 launcher is fast.
Anybody else having issues?
I have the original market that came with the phone (didn't look right to call it the 'stock market' )..and I still have the same issue. Sense always reboots after any install.
Not experienced any issues at all with the Market - old or new
I got new market no issues.

Using the market that came stock on the phone and no restarts with any app install or exit of the market.
Hmm. So it's a mix. I wonder what causes it then, maybe having a certain app or widget installed?

I have problem with sense restarting but not sure if its after an app install..
What ROMs are people using? Do you have apps disabled with temp root?
I'm on the one on my sig and not temp rooted so no apps disabled
I get a sense reboot most times but not all. Most of the time when I install an app from the market and press back multiple times before the software catches up, it reboots. And just now. I uninstalled an application, and hit the back button and sense reboots. And if I just view the market, browse around and hit back to exit, it didn't as well. Maybe it's sense's way of soft rebooting?
It keeps happening, it's driving me crazy. Happens on installs, uninstall and updates.

Complete stock, never rooted or anything..
This happened on my wildfire. It had something to do with the app being installer onto the SD card.

I am on the market that came with the phone and no issues how did u get the update?

I do not recall Sense restarting on the original market. With the new market I have seen it happen 80% of the time. For me though it seems to happen if I either go through things too fast or spend to long within market. If I pop in and out I have not seen a reboot yet. Not something I have really tried to force just what I have seen thusfar.
Edit: Phone is stock
I uninstalled the new market, doesn't seem ready for prime time or the would have a update in the market. It didn't show updates for me.

Do you guys have the Spare Parts app installed and changed the way it manages memory? I changed it to aggressive and Sense would restart each time I hit the home button. I changed it back to normal and it hasn't happened since.
If you guys haven't, then maybe try installing it and manually changing it to normal.
Was the new Market for me. I uninstalled it and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Where is this option in Spare Parts. I don't see it.
Nevermind, still happens. I'm done with Sense. Using LP and will try ADW EX too

App updates keep reappearing after restart

Hey guys I'm rooted and running stock rooted and have been noticing for a week or so now that any app updates that I have downloaded and installed keep re-appearing in the marker after a restart. Any clues as to why this is happening? Anything I can do to troubleshoot this?
Thanks
Have seen that myself... If I reboot again most of the time they are gone...

Just did installed 6 updates again. Rebooted and 3 of them showed back up... Drag Racing, Google Docs, and TunesRemote. Hmmmm
That is happening on stock phones also. I think it must be a market glitch

random 'droid apps' icon?

hey everybody.. i've been around but don't think i've officially posted or said hi yet.
SO, hi.
Now on to business.. I'm running IntectedROM r248 w/ imo 6.1.
However, i've had this random icon appear overnight.
Anybody know WTF it is? (top left)
That came from an app you installed. Its a new advertising thing. You'll start getting pop up notifications too probably

i haven't installed any apps lately and this just showed up
Happened to my SIL as well...don't know where it came from. She has a stock Droid charge

Maybe it's some type of adware. It is odd that it just appeared.

randomly showed up, now how do I make it permanently go away?
Mine just showed up at random too.
Does anyone know what app it's tied to, or how I delete the little Icon?
Thanks

Flashing icon in notification bar

I'm rooted stock with xposed but since I've had the phone very very quickly a dark icon will flash in the top left of the notification bar. So quickly I can't make out what it is.. Anyone else notice this? It's starting to annoy the piss out of me.

Not sure if it's the same but I have a white triangle with an exclamation point in it, every time it flashes (and it's super quick) the page I'm looking at reloads or loads a couple pages prior. It's driving me crazy!!! I'm only rooted with WeakSauce.

I'll look into Google now but I've got notifications turned off for that.
Just today I noticed it seems to do it mostly when I'm sending a text message. It flashed so many times in a row I was almost able to make it out.

Here is the icon you're seeing, it's the same one that's in the settings next to data usage, but colored. I always see it when I'm sending or receiving a text and it's annoying as hell.

No idea but I noticed it as well and it's annoying. I always know when I'm about to get a text though, because it flashes really quickly before something comes in.

Not sure if it's going to work yet or not but if you have xposed download notifyclean and you can block all notifications from "data usage". I'll post results later.

I noticed this anomaly as well; upon further research, it seems there's a notification that also flashes at the same time. I have not been able to make out its message.
Caught it. I don't like it, almost seems like your message is relayed through data...
I'm pretty sure using the method I posted above works. I haven't noticed the icon one time today.

I'm getting the white triangle as well flashing right when I receive or send a text even on my M7 on Sense 6. I still can't figure it out!
If it's the same thing we're experiencing then doing the method I posted on the first page works. I haven't seen the icon since I hide it.

I'm stock, non rooted etc and see the same. I have enabled Developer mode, I want to say that is the culprit but i'm not sure why. I also do not recall seeing it prior to the 4.4.2 update.
-T
That Xposed module seems to have killed the triangle, thank you!!!!
But I'd still like to know why it's happening so I can kill it or figure out what's going wrong with the system instead of just Xposing it away.
