[Q] Volume Control

The Up volume button on my Inspire has quit working. I can go into the software and change the volume there, but I can't find a software way to change the in call volume. Particularly the in call volume for Google voice. Any idea how I can adjust this?
I am using the latest stock upgrade.
I was actually having the same issue with my phone's Up volume button so any kind of help would be greatly appreciated

I have found the down volume working but not the up button.
Phone will not boot into clockwork as a result of the volume control sticking.
Can't do much without that....
Rooted Leedroid latest version...

One of quick reboot apps gives options to do hotboot or go into clockwork by bringing up the options when u power off. Ur regular "restart" screen will have extra options. Unfortunately i forget which one it is. I'll try to find out

Headphones always turned on

Hello, yesterday i wanted to make a small speaker for my phone, so i connected the phone to the speaker trough a jack and blah blah.. then it was not so loud so i tried to add 9V ac to the speaker.. big mistake, my phone turned off, i turned it on right away and even when i disconnect my headphones they still show like they are in. No youtube sound, no music and no sound when someone calls me. What could i do? Please help me..

Seems like you might have blown off the sound amp section of your phone, by injecting that 9V ac power
A trip to the LG Service Center for you I guess !!!
But the speaker works! When i press volume + the speaker produces that sound of volume, the speaker works well but the phone sends the audio to the wrong place, any ideas without having to go to the LG servis? Im a bit poor this time..

Try opening the phone n check for any damage/burn part. Or try speaker cleaner app from gplay

But the phone speaker works! It isnt broken or something, i just need to find a way to disconnect headphones, because they show they are always connected, even if they arent. The speaker is working because when i press vol + and vol - it produces a sound. Is there an app to disconnect manually the headphones!

If you have any pair of headphones plug them into jack and reboot the phone and unplug them at lg logo
Maybe will deactivate the headphones profile for me this method worked on icysnap v1.1 (I had a similar bug with headphones)

Hi! I got a similar problem thanx yours, my headphones also shows that are connected all the time, and I think it's software related because whan I flash a PAC-man rom te sound of the headphones hears in the speaker. Have you tried a restore vía KDZ? Maybe that fix the problem (I can't tried yet because of lack ofrece time)

It's look like that app aren't compatible with the p500 but there are some similar apps, for example I installed one called "toggle headset 2" and it works!!!

[Q] HTC One X (Rogers) strange speaker issue

Hi guys,
My HTC One X (Rogers) was working fine until one day I noticed that while I had my AUX cable or headphones plugged in, the ringtone upon receiving a call would be so loud that it'd distort. When I receive calls without having either of these plugged in, the ringer volume is fine but upon plugging them in, the sound amplifies 3x causing a very poor sound quality. It gets fixed after a factory reset (the reset option which only resets accounts and settings and leaves the data as it is). It stays fine for 3-4 days until it starts happening again. I sometimes do a hard restart after full battery charge just to calibrate battery by pressing and holding down power button until it restarts.
A notice appears after restart in the notifications bar,(send error report to HTC.) And I click on it to see it saying that the phone had an abnormal restart. Could this be causing the issue?
I don't have any problems with music or sound without AUX or headphones plugged in.
No problems with music with them plugged in.
Only ringtones distort and get extremely loud when they're plugged in.
This issue was never there since I bought it and has started to trouble me recently :'(
I'm in stress because of this and cannot factory reset every three days. So please help me out if you can. I'd be very grateful

Will it fix the issue? Do I lose my data upon update?

What's the process of installing OTA via recovery? My phone has stock rom and I cannot find a way to install ota via recovery.

So you'll want to download the OTA zip file from one of the RUU threads. Click the Resource compilation thread link in my signature and scroll down to the RUU section.
Then check the MD5 of your download to make sure there's no corruption.
Then copy the zip file to your SD card. Then boot to bootloader by holding the power button. The back, home, and recent apps buttons will blink (7 times?) then the screen will go black. Let go of power and hold volume down until the bootloader comes up.
Select recovery
When you get a picture on your screen, press power and volume up at the same time(I think?) then you should get a few options one of which being install from zip or something like that.
Select that option, browse to your zip file, select it and let the phone do the rest.
Charge your phone up before doing all this so it doesn't die in the process. Takes about 10-15 mins to complete. I've only done this once that's why I'm a little shady on the details.
Good Luck.

Trouble with Power button.

I am facing a problem as my power button is suddenly not working and I am sure the phone did not undergo any physical disturbance to have this problem. Also my capactive lights don't work and then blink when I boot the phone.
I am running ViperS 3.1.0. Any suggestions to fix the issue? Please guide me through if anything can be done.

Hey,
The power button does take a fairly longer press to bring up the power menu...I am experiencing that too..
But other than that the power button is working fine...to lock the screen...and to bring up the bootloader when switched off

Also the Capacitive button lights don't work this was not the case before on ViperS

Nothing I did to disturb the power button. Also when I pull the battery and put it in again the phone just starts by itself without having to press the power button.

When you're in Android, does pressing the power button not turn the screen off/on? Does the power button respond at all in any situation?
Since putting the battery in is causing the phone to power on without pressing the power button, I wonder if the power button is stuck on. When you put battery in and power up, what happens if you hold volume down button? Does it go to bootloader?
