[Q] contact sync - Samsung Infuse 4G

Why doesn't my phone sync my contacts everytime I wipe data after flashing a rom?? All I would do after flashing was open my contacts and I'd get a few pop ups and my contacts would be there, this time I didnt get those messages and I don't have any contacts. This happened the other day too, I just reflashed and it was all set.

[Q] Contacts Sync Problem

Hey Guys,
I am having "Force Close" when I try to sync my contacts with google account. I am running stock build and not even rooted. Suddenly yesterday I had a force close and I tried to wait for a day, also restarted my phone twice between yesterday and today. Then I tried to dig into the problem and realized that it was a problem with contacts syncing. If I remove check mark from contacts and sync there is no problem. But when I try to sync contacts it gets force close.
I have plenty of apps on it and also plenty of customization. I do not want to do factory reset. I had set this phone up for about 25-30 days now. No problems untill now.
Please some one help me. Oh and it is my primary google account.
Anybody?

Somebody in this thread is saying that there is a problem with Google's sync, but I don't know if it is the same issue. Maybe try waiting it out for a day?
Also if you try a different Google Account does it have the same problem?
I don't know about that. As I have too many contacts. and my another email is just junk. It's only for fun stuff. So I can't check synching problems with that account.

Outgoing Gmail stuck in outbox

Hello, I am having some when I send my email it get stuck in the outbox. I tried clearing the cache and data on the gmail app and I was able to send one email and they problem started again. I rebooted the phone and still no luck. Can anybody help me out? I am running stock gingerbread rom.
edit: seems like the file might be too big...I sent another file no prob
just letting you know that you arent the only one. I'm rooted & tried on various roms and have had the same issue. I've also had it where it would send an email & it'll be marked as abdraft even though it went through.
I finally said f it and installed Boat Browser Mini w/ homepage set to gmail and just do it that way.
Ivenhad the same problem....especially after a nandroid restore.
This happens after most of my nandroid restores. It's a real PITA but go into settings, applications, gmail, and clear data. It syncs everything up again, but you will have to restore settings too (notification tones, font size, folder syncing, etc.) It sucks, but it works every time!

[Q] What is the problem with facebook sync in ICS?

self explanatory.. on all ICS ROMS, facebook sync with contacts doesnt work correctly. is there a simple reason why? and any workarounds?
......................
I have never found this to be the case on sense 3.6 roms. If you're having this problem on multiple roms try a factory reset and format all partitions except sd, reflash your rom, boot up let the phone sit without doing anything to it for 5 minutes, reboot phone, set up the phone, reboot once more.
That's what I had to do to get birthdays once from facebook to sync but never contact info.

I have this same problem from time to time. Usually, Ill have to go in to app manager, clear cache, then try again. usually that gets it going. if not, back to app manager, clear data, then create new email and it will go. Its stupid, i want to know why this happens.
This happens infrequently, but when it happens its a royal PITA.
I always end up Uninstalling the Gmail account, and Reinstalling, as mentioned by the other poster.

Gmail help

So my problem lays with gmail not notifying me of new emails. No sound, no icon in status tray, nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I reinstalled the ROM multiple times. Once with restoring the data and the once without restoring data. I restored a backup. I even reverted back to stock. Nothing seems to allow me to get notification of new mail. When I open the app, it shows new mail but I am never notified. Please help.

I had this problem once. Make sure that gmail sync is on under the Google settings and make sure you have app data sync on also.

Both items are on. I'm pretty stumped on this. I haven't had this happen before. I get notification for everything else except gmail.
