Cyanogenmod 7.1.0 no market? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Why is there no Android Market?
I am returning to stock ROM if I don't have a market.

Download google apps and install them simples can be done via rom manager easily

You need to install the google apps pack.

You have to install the google apps to use the market: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

You have to read directions thoroughly. First post of CM7 thread tells you what to do.

Also, please don't make a new thread for a question that could be asked in the ROM's thread.

The Market, or search the forum and read other threads that were started asking what to do with your newly rooted phone.

[APP] Adobe Flash Update Ver 10.1.92.10

Adobe updated flash. I attached the apk below and link below is for flashable file. Make sure you remove previous flash and reboot before attempting to install the update. Copy it to your sdcard and install it like you would any other apk file. Enjoy.
Adobe Flash
Thanks for the upload! Do you know what changes are from 10.1.92.8?
Thanks

No it does not I was using the hacked one and updated to this one and Hulu doesn't work now.
It looks like I have a version 10.1.72.7 installed, but it is installed in /system/app and it wont auto-upgrade from the market. I can use Titanium Backup to un-install it, but it warns me it might mess things up. Am I okay to uninstall this and upgrade to the new 10.1.92.10?
Or am I better running the hacked flash? I'd be interested to see the change log as well to see if I'm better sticking with the hacked one or the newest version.
critical vulnerability
The advisory says, "A critical vulnerability exists in Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 and earlier versions for Windows, Macintosh, Linux, Solaris, and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.92.10 for Android."

YOu should be able to remove it with no problem. I had mine in the system app and removed it with root explorer. Like anything else you should backup b4 making any changes.
Yes its only flash guys you can delete and reinstall it all day long with no problems its not going to harm anything. Also guys just nandroid backup if you are worried. If you have any problems deleting you can also go into settings /applications and delete it from there reboot and install the new version from this post

What ROM are you running?

What ROM are you running on your gTablet?
I just thought that we should have an unofficial official poll.
(yes, I searched before I posted this but couldn't find anything, so please forgive me if there is one and I missed it.)
Please let me know if I'm missing a popular choice so that I can add it to the list.
Culkulin should be on this listing.

I saw that, but there's no poll. This way we can see graphically which is used more.
VEGAn 5.1
I didn't bother with the supplement though. Everything is running great as-is. I'm using my desktop less & less.

How to root ONLY?

I'm so sorry. I know there's a sticky on Rooting, but I'm still confused.
I don't want to flash a new rom. All I want to do is root my 10.1 while keeping it safe and stick with the Samsung os.
I downloaded ExynosAbuse apk and ran it on my tablet, and tapped Root, but it said it failed. No reason given.
Are there other steps I'm supposed to take?
Thanks.

Note I updated the link in my post. For some reason the download link was removed from the XDA thread. The new link is to the toolkit authors downloads page.
