I don't remember how it works with stock Rom. But on my CM7, I always have to turn on, unlock the phone in order to end a call.
I talk holding phone to my ear, screen goes off is fine, but why can't it just resume when I put it down to end call and continue use the phone?
Is this by design or a bug?

I would try reflashing your rom. I've had this problem before on earlier roms but not anymore running eaglesblood or miui or weapon g2x. It usually always just comes back on when I remove it from my ear

So it is a bug then. I goggle search but still wasn't sure if it is by design.
I flash CM7 nightly once in while but it's still the same. Will try other ROM to see.

So I've been using SC 2.9.2 for a while for my Cellular South Showcase and its been working fine. Then today I flashed MIUI v8 for the Showcase and everything was working fine for a few hours, then all of the sudden it said Digital Roaming. And no matter what I do, I can't get the radio back to working. I flashed back to 2 other ROMs, still nothing.. Then I ODINed back to the stock EB11, still the same thing.
Any ideas? Maybe someone has the stock radio, if that's what the problem is?

For future reference, dial 911 and let it ring once and hang up. You'll know it worked when you get the operator call back haha

You shouldn't need to let it ring once. Your phone should go into emergency mode when you dial it. You guys really gotta quit letting calls go through to 911.

You can program in new emergency numbers too, just put in something fake and it should trigger it just the same & you don't get any callbacks & wasting their time.
Have the Thunderbolt set up for making sound when touching screen. The screen will work as it should and then without reason it will get very soft and sometimes completely stop making any sound. Checked all my settings and they are as they should be. I also have the Sensation and the screen is set up the same way and it works properly. Is there something I'm overlooking or is this another bug?? Any help would be welcomed. Running stock Thunderbolt.

It's a bug of some kind. I've had it since the day I bought my TBolt(Launch Day). I think the reason its not heard about much is because most users don't use the screen sound option and also because a lot of users here and at AC root and flash custom roms.
I'm still running launch day software because it just works for me for the way i use my device.... this being the only bug that affects me. I rooted and flashed this rom:

and the issue went away so if it really bothers you I would go that direction. I assume other custom roms fix it as well but I cannot comment as the above is the only rom I flashed before going back stock and un-rooting.
Thanks for your input, checked other sites and found other people with same issue. Going to root this thing anyways and I'm sure the new Rom will fix the issue. Might check out the one you downloaded, looks pretty fast.

There is this really annoying bug ever since i flashed the last CM7 nightly build and i was wondering if anyone else experienced it.
Ok, so when you connect an earphone to the earphone jack on the phone it automatically plays on the earphones. But now, it plays on the earphones for about 30minutes and then switches to the speaker of the phone then I disconnect the earphones and reconnect them but it doesnt transfer back to the earphones, the only way to get it back is restart the phone but then again if you listen for another 20-30minutes it does the same thing. I dont know if its related but also the phone automatically answers in speaker even though in the settings the option to do so is not checked so I dont know whats going on here but its annoying. Anyone else have that type of issue?
Stories like this really make me not want to move to a custom rom, Rooted GB 2.3.3 all the way...
Well the custom rom has been much better than stock as far as speed and stability but anyway dont try to hijack my thread buster .
Am I the only one in the world with that problem?
Do you use GO SMS, or Contacts ?
After updating that app my phone answered in speaker mode and other have reported this as well, however I think its been addressed by the Go devs team

I installed the lastest CM7 (R9B) and when I make a call, I can't hear the other person, but they can hear me. It was working perfectly fine but it just all of a sudden started. Any one had this problem? Thanks!

Yes, I have been trying to figure out a fix for this all day but can't find one. This happen to me on the Lewa rom as well as CM7. I went back to the old miui rom so I can't help but just stating I got the same problems
I also had this problem and i was running Lewa at the time but i found a way around it only a temp fix. When you answer a call or make a call, once you know you are connected press up on the volume button. This worked for me give it a shot
I am using a galaxy note i717. I have issues with it. I have rooted this phone using odin. I have tried everything I know to make it work correctly. The problems are just horrible. The worst one is the phone call thing. Someone calls me, my phone starts ringing and completely locks up, I can't even see who it was that called. My phone will ring forever till I turn it off, completely locked up only option is power cycle. Worst part is it does not even show it as a missed call so I have no clue who called. Another thing is the phone needs to be reset at least a few times a day, as it is just laggy and slow I waited 10 seconds today for my call log to show up after I pressed the button. There are a few others but those are extremely anoying. My phone works fine till I load certain apps then it becomes bogged down. Defender of texel and Group Me are 2 apps that cause this problem. I have tried many things to fix it. I have tried many jelly bean custom roms. All of them have the same problem. I also did the samsung upgrade trick. The one where you unroot and put the phone to stock ics then have samsung upgrade it to jb then root it to a jb custom rom. I have 2 ideas of how to fix it. I can get ics custom roms to work flawlessly, I got a goldie rom already downloaded and ready to install. The other idea might come from an expert. I think it is some setting that is default turned on that needs turned off. I really don't know, I don't want to revert back to ics I like new technology and getting the most out of my devices. I am using black jelly right now, it is a good rom, it was just the last one I tried. The phone has no wings but was about to fly across the room so I gave up before I broke it. I need an expert that knows the tricks to make this phone work correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
