thanks Ill give it a try, does it embed the art ? cause I use album art grabber and it also searchs automatically for all the music but the problem is with the music files it doesnt find, i got to search manually for those

MediaMonkey an connect your phone too your Usb/Pc
It sounds like your mp3 tags are corrupted if you get MediaMonkey an connect your phone too your Usb/Pc an use MediaMonkey to fix the tags the problem should be fixed for ever An that app you use can fined your art from then on. I would fix all the tags too to be sure while your at it.
Itunes may work to but the fruit is fickle it can get confused

hve u ever tried uber music..????

Remember ..... if you have already album art..... when you going to flash another rom , don't forget to delete media folder from sd card,,,,,.......
because of that even you had album art music cannot show your mp3 album art
Don't lazy to delete media folder

If your tags are messed up it doesn't matter what apps you use

Ya i no but if your tags are messed up it doesn't matter what apps you use they need the right tags too work right. So if you use MediaMonkey only when you have to or when you download your music (too your Pc or Phone) you can tag them once and forget. If you download your music too your phone you only have to do it when the tags are messed up once and forget an then any app will work. Also MediaMonkey will remember all your tags for Winamp/Itunes and a few other music programs. So if your SDcard gets messed up all your music is saved an tagged/Art (if you save them on your harddrive in the MM File). So even if you are the ultimate procrastinator (like me) or Lazy you still have to fix your tags once in awhile for any Art app/programs to work right.
Cover Art Downloader is not a Mp3id tagger and that is what you/he needs.
I'm not promoting any one app/program this is just the program i use an like an there are more out there that work and are free.

thanks for all your replys, I will try everything mentioned here .
Ill report back once Im done and check wich method was the best

I'll suggest you to use miui roms, with miui music... first download all the album arts manually and then do a muiu backup for music(data) that would save your album art but it will only work if your changing only between miui roms
Send from my X10 running Miui 1.10.8 using the XDA App.... *****es!!! x)

Multi-Media device - with bad album artwork quality?!

Hi,
is there a way to stop the android music player from using low resolution thumbnails instead of my high quality id3-tag album art?
I already found something at xda-developers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755844
and on the google forum:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=6a62bb7424f4784a&hl=en
But it seems like the problem has not been "fixed" (if google already managed to take it as a serious bug or issue in their own software) yet and the problem will also not be fixed in the future...
any ideas about that?
Welcome to the forum, I'd say just use a better app. I use PlayerPro and it looks and works beautifully. You can choose embedded ID3 Art, or download art through the player and if it downloads the wrong art (which rarely happens) You can look up art through PlayerPro and find the correct one and choose it in under 10 seconds usually.
yeah, but...
Thanks so far,
i installed the player... of course it is not bad, but i like to use the original HTC one, because of the sense integration and so on... i already tried a lot of different players like cube, or mortplayer music... but they do not fulfill my expectations...
so if someone could give me a solution for the basic problem... i'd give him/her thousands of thanks

[Q] Google Music player (Stock) Flickering

Now i have searched and searched about this problem, and the only answer i get is "Clear the data", which fixes the problem the first time i open it, but everytime after that i still have the flicker problem. It won't let me pick music because its like it just keeps reloading all my music over and over again and won't stop. Does anyone have a solution that sticks? I love the stock music player and i use Google Music Beta so i don't want to switch players, Thanks!
Hi, the app seems to do this when you add more music to your collection.
It's the application re-checking the contents of the folders, is all your music on the MicroSD card?
If so, safely remove it (tap the icon next to the clock) and remove the card from the slot.
Then remove the app data (application settings), then re-insert your card and re-start the music app, it will take a little while to re-read the MicroSD card, they are not the fastest things around.
I have 117 folders with 1578 files which amounts to 10.96G it takes just under a minute to rescan all the folders and rebuild my library.
The only issues I had with the stock player is the extreme way it manages the albums based on the mp3 tag info, it will give you a separate folder / album if the album artist is missing from some tracks.
I fixed mine on the tab with an app called iTag, it worked rather well.
Hope this helps in some way.
Thanks for the reply! all my music is actually on the internal sd of the transformer because I just got my micro sd card a week ago and have had my tablet for a while, so i already had music loaded on.
Mine does the flickering too in 3.2 stock, the version of the app is 3.0.2, were can I download the 3.0.1 apk to downgrade the app?

Sorry, man. Someone mentioned using an app called iTag to fix their issue, but I'm not sure exactly how it helped. Believe he said it had something to do with artist's names not matching up.
I've found that listing by song has no flickering involved, so gonna keep it that way until I (or someone else) either figures it out. Not much of a fan of some of the other players, so.
You should make sure all your ID3 tags are clean. For example, if you have a song artist that is Metallica and some of the files the artist name is Metallica and some are names MetallicA, where a simple case adjustment can help alleviate the issue. You need to also make sure that if one artist album has 15 songs and only 14 of them have cover art it will freak the player listing out like it's doing. Make sure all your ID3 tags are clean and precise and they all have the same cover art for each of the albums.

I had the same problem. Do you have album art grabber installed? I uninstalled that app and everything went back to normal.

Problem with music albums

hi guys
I'm using an ics rom (nexusbeam 4.1) and that's my little problem:
in music players some albums are not displayed but i've copied them inside the phone memory like the others that are displayed??
with root explorer I see in the same folder all the albums but when I open music apps some albums are not present :-o
Thanks for helping!!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Are the albums you don't see inside their own folder or with songs from other albums? They might be under the album named after the folder. Do a search for the filename/song, too.
Edit: Also note, this is probably the case if there is no ID3 tags on these particular songs/albums.

thanks friend but i'm having a look at my albums
they are all ordered rightly 'cause I've always used to listen to them before even using music apps in my nexus...
as you can see in the pics they are all in folders but in my music apps they are not all displayed...
Odd. Have you tried clearing the cache for the music app?

thanks a lot for helping me; i've had some tries but with no luck
Search the market for "Cover Art Downloader" (sorry I can't post links yet )
I had a similar problem and I was able to use this app to "force" music player apps to recognise cover art, either by downloading what it thought was the correct artwork or in my case picking images off the SD card. Worth a try!

I just used the free version - my issue was slightly different to yours in that Winamp was using the wrong album art for albums and no amount of cache clearing or messing with IDv3 tags would fix it, this app fixed it for me. Hope it works!

I have player pro and it works dine with player pro, but I've grown to like the ICS music app. What would I have to name the files? And is there a specific extension? Cause I have a folder with artwork with an unreadable file extension

I had the same issue with the native Music app.
I couldn't see the covers after using Album Art Grabber etc.
But after I cleared the data of the music app, it fetched all the artwork.
So after using the art grabber, you should go to settings => apps => All => Music. There you push the button 'Clear data'. So you DON't have to do it all manually...
Good luck!

Why? There is a widget in the status bar whenever you listen to music ... I don't see a point for it . You can also look into headset controller and set the controls with double press of the button etc

Add all local music to a Playlist

Hi,
First of all sorry if this is the wrong place to post, or if the question has already been asked.
Maybe I'm too stupid, or to blind to find a way to add all my local music to a playlist. I found an option on the album, but this would require that go trough each album, and I have a lot.
Thanks a lot
Hello,
This is indeed not possible currently, but we'll consider it in a future update

Help with ID3 Tagging
Hi,
I am sure that this isn't the proper place to post this question,
but I need somebody's help!
Please take a look at the attached screenshot,
I accidently tagged Eminem's album with a special character "E".
No matter what music player i use to edit the tag, whether it be Poweramp, Rocket Player, Hi Music, or Shuttle Player, I can't seem to get it to go back! I've tried everything!
I've even tried downloading an ID3 Tag editor from the Play Store...several actualy, but for some reason my phone is set on keeping Eminem's Encore album with a special character E.
I even tried deleting the album, booting into recovery, wiping davlik cache and the cache partition, rebooting my device, and re-adding the album, but I still experience the same issue.
Does anybody know how to fix this? An app or a fix for editing tags with special characters? Once I went special character, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to go back.
Please tell me there is a way.
All suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks World!
