Can you get back into CWM recovery? If so you can flash your nandroid backup or reflash the ROM and you should be good to go. Make sure you check the compatibility of the kernel before you flash it.

I do not own an atrix. I wish I did that is a sweet phone. Sadly verizon does not have cool phones like that and i am stuck with locked bootloader droid 2 global. Not that I do not like it as it is a great phone. I have xoom though and I have gotten that same error on it. Your phone is not screwed, if you can get into clockworkmod then you are easily saved. If not you have a few more options. Get an sbf file for your phone. I am sure they are around. Learn how to flash it and your phone is saved. You can also see if you can get into fastboot mode. Get some image files and once again your saved. I am intrigued by the moto atrix so please report back on any progress and i certainly will try to help you in any way that i possibly can
P.S. If this helped you, or you just want to show appreciation for me typing this up please give that thanks button a good old press

Sweet Jesus. I don't know, I don't have an Atrix...

Pardon me if it's a wrong forum - Issue with Moto Defy
Hi,
I tried to flash froyo on my motorola defy using RSD lite and everything went on smooth till the message "Please manually power up this phone" appeared on RSD lite and the phone screen is frozen with android logo. Nothing is happening. What to do now?? Please help!!!

Please Help me find img file for Atrix 4g
I rooted my phone a few months ago without really knowing what I was doing but lately it has been acting up so I wanted to upgrade. Of course the OTA upgrade wouldn't take because I am rooted. So I tried to flash the stock rom on my phone and somehow did either a soft or a hard brick. not sure which. It will only go to RSD mode. I understand that I can use RSD lite to bring it back but I have scoured the internet and can not find an active link to the necessary files. Please if someone has them please share a link!

You need to give us something to go off of. if you just say my car is broken will a mechanic know what to do?
Tell us what you or whoever has done to the phone to get it in that state then we can (hopefully) instruct you to fix it.
Is it a Droid 2 global or the original Droid 2.
My first thought is it's out of battery or you destroyed it with a liquid (Always take the battery out of your phone ASAP if you happen to get it wet).
Its a regualar droid 2. I rooted the phone months ago. and i guess he was playing around with and bricked it. I used another battery and it turn on and straight to the motorola sign. and stays there. took the battery off put it back on press X and turned it on. and i got into android ! mark. i hit search button and it takes me to the system recovery. Did the wipe date/factory reset. and wipe cache. All i get now is E: can't open /cache/ recovery/command. Im outta my league with motorola. how can i unbrick this from here
Best bet at this point would be to use RSDLite and flash the Full Stock SBF file.
Yes you need the 2.3.20 sbf and rsdlite to flash the software to the phone. Ignore that 'error' in the stock recovery it always says that.
Also if you have a D2 why did you post in the D2 G section?
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
I actually have the same problem, I used RSDLite to flash the full SBF, and my M2G won't power on. The process I have tired is a battery pull while charger is connected, then insert battery followed by holding power and x down.(nothing happened) I have not tried the method of using a different battery.
Any help is appreciated, I would like for the phone to power on. I don't want to use a warranty replacement just yet!
I used this SBF found here.
http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/...l-sbf-file-2-4-29-full-rsdlite.html#post49668
Pressing the up-arrow when turning the phone on should take it straight to the bootloader, where you can then try flashing the SBF again.

Can you get to the bootloader?
From off, Power + VOL-UP. If you get the bootloader screen w/4 options, youre phone is not bricked.

The nexus s is pretty hard to permanently brick, but can be a pain depending how bad it is. This time was bad for me. I had already flashed the ics update and flashed superuser zip and all was fine except Google wallet. I uninstalled it with titanium but had second thoughts , so I decided to flash the update again. I know better but just wasn't thinking. The update was from 2.3.6 to 4.0 and since I was already on 4.0 it really screwed it up. It wouldn't do anything absolutely nothing. Apparently the bootloader , boot, and recovery images were completely gone. I did some searching and found unbrickable resurrector. Only problem was it only worked on Linux. So I had to make my laptop duel boot Ubuntu and windows. Ubuntu for unbrickable resurrector and windows for adb/fastboot. Although it sounds rather easy it took about 2 days till I finally figured it all out. I could probably do it now in 30 minutes. And a jig would most likely work but I wouldn't know where to get one. Anyway the resurrector allowed me to boot into fastboot mode and adb/fastboot allowed me to reflash the lost images. Thank God that's over!

Hey! from my phone, it freezes on the samsung image when is boots up. It stays there forever. I'm pretty sure it is bricked. I rooted my phone, then tried to install some kind of font switch that is required for a root phone. After that it told me to restart my phone, did exactly that, and now my phone is stuck on the samsung logo screen. I have odin, and now im just looking for a stock rom for it. I did a factory reset, but that didnt work either. Can anybody help me?

oh yea... its for verizon by the way.
Did you install the verizon update manager? You should be able to do a repair. As for the stock Rom we are working on that right now.
Oh and you can follow us on these sites so you can keep up with what we're doing with the phone:

WELL... thanks. And no i didn't install the verizon update manager.. What's that? And please let me know as soon as the stock ROM comes out or any word of it,... or yea... hahaha. im really stuck on it. I really wish things could work out.
You'll find the Verizon Update Manager at the 13th post of the 2nd link I posted here. You'll also need a Dropbox account.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1902170&page=2
Before you do that, however, can you get into recovery mode? Hold down the home button, VOL Up, and the power button to enter into recovery mode.
If you cannot enter recovery mode, please be patient as we try to get a stock ROM uploaded.
You also can help us. Since your phone is rooted, you can make a backup of the stock recovery if it still works. If you're familiar with ADB you should try looking at the last post of my link: you'll see a command there to extract the recovery.

well i can.. i can get into recovery mode. Thats how i tried the factory reset... and it didn't work. I am currently at school... so ill try to do the ADB command this weekend. I was looking at that post earlier. but.. as i said before, but my phone won't fully turn on. It's stuck at the "samsung" logo. that's where it stops. Just curious is the Verizon update manager the same as VZAccess Manager? And the link on the post its the bootstrap helper.exe... that one am i correct?
Verizon has several names for its features but I do belive the VZ Access manager is different. I just pulled up the app and found that it's actually callied "Verizon Upgrade Assistant"...which really means "kiss your custom rooted ROM goodbye" in the future when everything works well.
I have someone trying to upload a stock ROM and I'll get back to you when you can download the ROM. My phone's bricked as well so all I can do is sit, wait, and gather information. I've been without this blasted phone for nearly two weeks so don't feel too bad; you're not alone.
I appreciate the help you can give for the recovery option as if we all can get some stock ROMs extracted, the REAL devs can start having fun with this phone...hopefully we will too.

eMMC Info: Size 8GB
Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 3

Fastboot Reason: Boot Failure

My Question is wtf do i do? and my begging starts right meow: PLEASE HELP AS I AM NEEDING THIS PHONE FOR THE WORK WEEK TOMORROW! Thanks so much for all of your guys' awesome work and help.

How do I get these onto my phone/ run them since I cannot get CWM or TWRP to come up?
Here are a few button combinations that tend to be helpful in situations like this:
Power + Volume Down to force a reboot
Volume Up Button while rebooting, to get into recovery
Camera Button while rebooting(i think), to bring up a menu with bootloader, recovery, etc.

Lol, gotcha. What I might do is check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1858959
That is basically what we have that is similar to an Odin restore for the Epic. The file has had some problems, but go towards the end to find links to a modified file that does work(I have used it), and a file someone linked that might be fully working, tho I haven't seen anyone try it yet. Maybe your device is still able to restore this way thru Fastboot.
Thanks found it

I got all that and did it then I don't think my battery was charged enough and now it's stuck in the WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen wish you could remove the damn battery.
Edit/update: Got system.img pushed via CWM after pushing CWM with fastboot. Got RSD to flash the rest of the files from mattlgroff's post on the RSD FXZ thread. After that it was push TWRP and make a backup of everything, then I applyed update, backed up, rooted, backed up. Keeping away from the mods for this week so I can actually use the phone I just got it Saturday. Thanks again to all the dev's and users who helped and continue to contribute to the site and droids in general!

[Q] Where's my Stock Recovery gone?

Hi All,
Just got hold of a pretty good condition Nexus S for my Work/ Second phone, and its a dam nice phone. My daily is an N4.
I have read many threads, tried many tips and even ended up rooting and running CM10.1.
I much prefer stock android, so its now on 4.1.2.
Unless I am being an utter nob, and missing the obvious, I cannot get into my Stock Recovery. It seems like its missing.
I have tried Vol+ & power. Vol- to recovery. I get the Android Red Triangle.
I have tried then pressing Vol+ or Vol- or a combination.
I must be doing something wrong.
Any advice would be great.

Just use Nexus root tool kit and put in a custom recovery.. You can use to flash completely to stock, which should restore the stock recovery, but the custom is better and more reliable for flashing..
Thanks for the very quick reply Setting.Out.
I have used the root kit. I used it to root and install a custom recovery.
I used it to return to stock rom too, but still cannot show the stock recovery.
I have seen youtube vids where the red triangle shows and you need to use Vol+ to access your stock recovery, but no luck for me.
Is it possible its missing.
I bought it and prior to buying it was running a custom rom. I asked the owner to return it to stock for me.
I have rooted and got my hands dirty with phones for years and this is just bugging me :silly:

Thanks Chill for the post, it has been useful, just have a question, need to copy some files off the phone from recovery but i get the andriod figure lying down with a red exclamation mark. My Nexus S(stock) keeps rebooting before it gets to showing the home screen. Read from other posts that if i can get to recovery, plug cable into PC then i can copy files. If i re-flash recovery with stock recovery, will i lose my data files?

Thanks smit sanghavi, I did finally figured out how to get into the menu of recovery(stock), once you see the green android lying down with red exclamation mark, hold power then click up volume. However unfortunately i might have run out of luck, i couldn't re-flash the stock recovery, because the error says bootloader is locked. As per details in other posts, when i unlock the bootloader, it will wipe all files. Even when im at the recovery menu, windows won't detect the Nexus S when i plug into USB... so unless there is another way to get adb running, then all my files are lost...
